Chapter 12 - Attribute surprise(1)

Yu'er was brought outside where many beautiful trees lay along with a comfortable aura. The house was small and she knew currently they were in the middle of nowhere.

Yian led her by the hand to a steady rock nearby and made her sit in the lotus position before coming down. "Although I am your mother, my training is very hard and strict. I won't take it easy on you."

Yu'er nodded with determination as her mother was doing all this in order to make her stronger.

"There are three levels you have to pass before we can leave this place. Qi gathering, Qi condensation, and Qi Refining. They are the three most basic levels of cultivation and they amass the Qi in your body for foundation building level which is next. They are divided into four levels Earlty-stage, Middle-stage, Late-stage, and Peak-stage. In large sects, children usually start to cultivate aroud the age of ten and reach foundation building at the age of twenty five averagely with the help of the sects. As talents emerge, the sects gives them better resources than the others because the stronger the sect disciples the stronger the sect becomes. Unlike them you have me to guide you throughout the begining, they have to rely on themselves so consider yourself lucky."

Yian looked at her child who was full of enthusiasm and gave a sigh.

"Let's begin, I'll send you the Qi manual, you must relax and don't be afraid."

Yian raised her jade like slender finger before a bright light shot out and enterd Long Daiyu's small forehead. The world spun and Yian immediatly became dizzy as the information she tried to process was too much. But to her suprise her body sensed the directions of the manual and followed them like orders. It took no less than an hour before Long Daiyu started to fade into the nothingness of cultivation. She became a part of nature and relaxed as the tender Qi craessed her body.

Yian on the other hand was quite shocked with the development. Her precious daughter actually had a high comprehension as she adapted to the manual quickly. Others usually took atleast a week yet she understood it the first hour. Anyone who could see this would probably fait at the childs level of comprehenssion.

When it came to to learning new skills the most important was ones mentality and comprehension. It seemed Yu'er would be able to learn quite a bit of skills as she progressed. But Yian had no time to focus on that as the manual not only gave the secret to Qi but would reveal her attribute to those around.

She couldnt help but be excited but her breath hitched at the sudden commotion. Yu'er seemed unfazed by the world, but the surrounding area turned into a mess as long vines erupted from the ground. They were beautiful with many unique flowers but the fragrance they released made Yian have to fly in the air. The fragrance was sweet and the vines looked otherworldly pure but despite their beauty all surroundings shriveled and died shortly.

They came in a tide soon enveleping in the house which was destroyed. Yian was quite happy because such strong wood element would definatly aid yu'er but her smile soon vanished as she saw the next thing.A strong dark Fire suddenly started to burn the vines as if they were enemies. Everyone knew the elements were harmonious yet they were in an all out war before her.

Before the fire could take it victory the water element appeared from the ground drowning then both. During the battle between the fire and wood, water could only wait patiently to ambush when they were at their weakest. With it's ambush it was sure to be the dominant element.

What water did not expect was that thunder had been waiting to use it as its knife. When water was invading thunder used water and tried taking them all out at once. With waters propersties the thunder hurt all elements at once but they did'nt back down. If they backed down Long Daiyu would take the winner as its dominat element and use it the most.

The battle of elements was unheard of but Yian could'nt help but feel solem. She knew very well what was happening as the elements battled in an all out war. Every cultivator borrowed power from Qi which was the essence of life itself. A cultivator would always have a dominant element it used the most when in battle, that element would be nurtured to its upmost potential and when returned to nature its power would grow allowing it a high position in its clan.

The elements sensed Yu'ers potential and wanted to be nurtured. But Yian knew if an element could not win and supress the rest, yu'ers body wouldnt be able to hold the constant fights for power inside.

Right now the powers we're evenly matched and could not supress one another. If this went on then yu'er would have to accept all the dominant powers and struggle to subdue them herself. Anxiety filled Yian's heart as she hoped any element would win. Just as she was thinking time was going to run out, time stopped on it own. Yian almost cried out in shock. Yu'er actually had the space element?!

Thunder was already considerd very rare but in front of her own eyes the space element actually appeared. Array masters relied on space as they exchanged spiritual Qi in orderd to borrow time and space from the space element through array stones. That was only a portion of the space element power, but if one had the element, depending on their cultivation, time would be at their control along with space.

A space cultivator was rare and many knew only those strong continents had the possibility to recieve it through a bloodline which was kept very pure. Yian herself thought of the Li clan which had many space element cultivators thoughout the ages in their family as they did not let themselves marry out. In order to keep the element within heir family they married their close releatives or sibilings.

Who would have thought the element would appear here. Just as she was smiling with joy her smile stiffened at what was happening below.
