Chapter 25 - Adventurers

Souta already sent the Goblins back to nest. He, Tetsui, and Soka were the only one left here in the Hornets nest.

He stood up and looked at them. He said, "Let's go." He then turned around and walked towards the exit.

Tetsui and Soka followed behind him.

...

Souta was cautiously walking with Tetsui and Soka. He looked around and saw a few shadows. He stopped on his track as he carefully looked over.

"What's wrong?" Tetsui asked but he suddenly shut his mouth. His ears twitching left and right as he heard a faint sound of footsteps.

Soka also heard the faint sound of footsteps.

Souta and the others hide in the corner. After a while, they finally saw a group of humans wearing leather armor.

"Humans?" Souta was slightly surprised when he saw them.

He was wondering before why he haven't seen a human for the past months but now he finally saw them. At first, he thought that only a few people know this Labyrinth but it seems that's not the case. This Labyrinth too huge and until now he haven't seen it's end.

He only encountered people of this world for a number of times. The first one was his mother and the rest of the captured women back in the nest. The second one was in Jabuzi's nest. But this was his first time seeing adventurers.

He observed them carefully. The group consist of five people. Three men and two women.

One of the women wear a blue robe with golden linings. She was holding a staff with red orb at the end of it. She looks like a Mage that he always saw in rpg games. The other women was wearing a black tight outfit partnered with high tight boots. She have a dagger hanging at her waist. It seems that she's an Assassin. While one of the men was wearing a brown leather armor and he was holding a piece of longsword on his hand. The second man looks like some sort of warrior wearing a full body brown armor. The  last one was wearing the same as the first one. The only difference was that this man weapon. His weapon is a bow.

A party of Adventurers with different class was also good. This complemented each of their weakness. He wondered if this Adventurers already have a job. From the looks of it, it seems that's the case. He want to know how to get a job like Assassin, Warrior, Mage, etc.

"Let's follow them." Souta said in a low voice. He wants to know how much power does the humans possessed. He haven't saw what they did when they rescue his mother but the results there was devastating. They massacred a whole Goblin nest on their own.

Tetsui nodded at him.

Souta patted Soka and slowly followed the Adventurers.

...

"I feel like someone is looking at us." The Assassin girl whispered to her comrades.

"I get that feeling too." The Archer nodded at her words.

The Warrior looked at the Mage and asked, "Have you learn any detection skill?"

The Mage shook her head and said, "I'm still a Rank 7 Mage and haven't touch that kind of spells."

"I see..." The Warrior nodded and said, "Still, there's nothing for us to worry about. The highest monster that could be found here in the upper floor are level 50 Cave Basilisk. There's also the leader of the elite nest. Those monsters are between level 35-45."

The Archer nodded, "Yeah, with our current strength as long as we don't encounter a batch of those monsters we will still be safe. The upper floor is the safest place here."

The Swordsman looked at his comrades and asked, "Do you know something about lower floor?"

The Mage quickly shook her head and said, "Don't mention it. With our current capabilities our limit is the upper floor not to mention lower floor." She was the most knowledgeable in her party so she explained, "The lower floor contain monsters that are above danger 'disaster level."

"Disaster level? Level 60 and above?" The Assassin girl exclaimed.

The Mage nodded her head and continued, "Also those monsters possess a human like intelligence. They also have a class. Only those party who possesses the Middle Class Job and above could go there. And that's not the most dangerous place here."

"The deep floor..." The Archer said.

"Deep floor...?" The Assassin girl have a confused expression.

"Deep floor. Legend say that Monster Lords live there. No party would go there. Monster Lord are the most powerful monster in history. They are the ruler of monsters. They could easily annihilated a party of High Class Job. Only those people with Super Class could match them." The Mage explained to them.

"Should I say as expected of the Great Labyrinth?" The Archer said.

"You can say that too. After all, there's only seven of this in the whole world." The Warrior said.

"Hahaha, just leave the explanation to our Mage. She's the most knowledgeable person here." The Archer laughed.

"The Seven Great Labyrinths of the world. Someone call it Underground world and some say Subterranean world. Currently, there's twenty country above the Labyrinth. The outlaw and bandits used this place to transfer some illegal items from country to another country. No one knew how it's formed. According to some books when the Gods were still here living with us mortals the Great Labyrinths are already here." The Mage said before she sighed helplessly. Everytime they go on adventure they always make her explained something to entertain them.

...

'What?!' Tetsui frown as he couldn't understand as single thing in what they said.

He looked at Souta and said, "Kiyomi, Let's go back. We can't get any information from them. I couldn't understand what they are saying. I just want to sleep."

Souta shook his head and said, "Let's wait for a while."

Tetsui sighed and he still listened to the Adventurers.

Souta and the others followed the Adventurers until they met a group of monsters. They watched them defeat the Orcs, Boa, etc.

'Powerful!!' Souta was surprised when he saw them he killed the Great Isle Boa.

'This is the power of Adventurers in this world.' Souta felt that the distance between him and those Adventurers were too wide.

They could easily kill the Great Isle Boa.

It need a whole Goblin Squad to take down a single Great Isle Boa but them... They took it down in just a minute.

This is the true power of people who have a Job.

He took a deep breath. He used the opportunity while the Adventurers were still fighting to cast Appraisal on them.

[???(unauthorized)???]

[Appraisal Blocked!]

"Argh!" Souta felt a waved of pain in his eyes. He gritted his teeth and he turned around.

"Let's go now!" He said as he run away from the Adventurers. He still felt the rebound caused by blocking his appraisal.

"What's wrong, Kiyomi? What did you see?" Tetsui asked him as he followed behind Souta with Soka.

"Those Adventurers are too powerful. They could block Appraisal." Souta replied.

...

The Mage stopped for a while and looked behind her. She felt someone used appraisal on her.

"Did you feel that? Someone just used appraisal." She asked her comrades.

"Huh? Appraisal? Appraisal is for items and equipment only. Who the hell is that idiot that uses Appraisal on us?" The Warrior laughed as he slashed the Orc in half.

"It's a big offense to use Appraisal on people. Also, almost all the people of this world already learned Appraisal Block skill. So it's useless to use that on people." The Archer said.

...

Souta and the rest went back to the nest.

He was panting heavily as he held his head. He felt a little dizzy and his eyes were hurting. This was the first time that someone blocked an Appraisal. If all Adventurers could blocked Appraisal then he wouldn't use it anymore. He should've used it first on the women back in Jabuzi's nest or his mother.

"Appraisal don't work on them, huh?" Tetsui muttered. He didn't think that Appraisal was a pretty useless skill. No, it seems that those people have a skill that could block Appraisal.

"Yeah. Their strength is higher than us." Souta said in a tired voice. He felt that those Adventurers could even kill Jabuzi if they want.

If the Adventurers were this strong then how could those Goblins capture women.

There's still many things that he don't know so he couldn't come up to a conclusion base on what he know.
