Dean Office,
"Dean, may I come in?" Gin gently knocked on the door.
"Oh, Gin, come in." Dean Alfin's voice came from the other side of the door.
"I thought you will only come out of the library after reading every single book," Dean Alfin said and added, "But it looks like you have discovered what you lack."
"Yes," Gin said.
"Mn, tell me about it." Dean Alfin asked.
"I think, I lack combat experience and good martial skills to perfectly utilize my strength." Gin shared his thoughts.
"Correct, you don't have to worry about good skills that I will arrange. Let's discuss how to increase your combat strength."
"I know some ways, but it's extremely dangerous. Are you okay with that?"
"Yes, I am not afraid of any hardship." Gin said.
"Good! First, Underground Combat Arena - It's a good way to increase your strength but if you are not careful, you may even lose your precious life."
"Second, you can select missions from Ranker Division which are based on catching or killing wanted criminals."
"I don't recommend this method for you now, as you don't have any battle experience dealing with outlaws; They won't hesitate for a second to take your life."
"Third, you may wander into the inner regions of the Darkwood wildlands and fight magical beasts."
"Every method is dangerous but it will also help you to increase your strength faster and without affecting your foundation."
Gin earnestly listened to Dean's suggestion, pondered for a minute and asked: "What do you think is best for me, Dean?"
"You are calm, not anxious to make decisions. I personally think you should train for some time in the combat arena. You will meet different kinds of peoples with various fighting styles, it will be a good experience for you."
"There's an underground combat arena located in the Whitestar region also known as the 'Battleborn' arena. I know someone from there, he will look after you. Are you willing to travel there?" Dean Alfin asked.
Gin thought for a minute, he knows only in the face of danger one can learn, think clearly and improve. It also helps in bringing out your full potential.
"I am ok with that, Dean." Gin decided.
"OK, first, you have to know some important things about that combat arena. It's very dangerous, once you go inside you can't come out unless you secure 50 victories."
"What?! Dean, then even if I want to come out for some urgent business, they won't allow? " Gin exclaimed.
"Yes, only after you grasp 50 winnings they will let you out of the arena. If not, you can only stay there until you die."
"I-it's absurd!"
"Haha, yes, but it will also force you into a corner and raise your desire for victory." Dean Alfin.
"Gin, even numerous peoples from the core region travel there to participate. But, you don't have to worry about getting killed and encountering opponents who you can't hope to defeat."
"If you are a Physique Enrichment stage practitioner, then your opponent will also be at the same stage but, their levels may be different."
"For example, you may encounter a Level 5 opponent while you being at Level 4 of Physique Enrichment stage. You understand?" Dean Alfin said.
"Oh right, What is your current strength? Don't tell me the number of seals you found, tell me your strength in Kg" Dean Alfin said.
"My strength is around 8,500 Kg." Gin told, but what Dean Alfin doesn't know is, this is Gin's strength that he tested 1 week before.
"What?" Dean Alfin asked, open-mouthed.
"Y-You have only opened two hidden seals, right?" Dean Alfin asked.
"Yes, Dean"
'Are all the Physique cultivators this strong?' The answer is NO.
Dean Alfin raised his brows and thought,
'His strength is at least twice higher than normal people of the same level. It's better no one knows about this, at least until he has the strength to protect himself.'
"Gin, take this and carry it on you all the time." Dean Alfin gave him a silver ring with a dragon pattern.
"What is this, Dean?" Gin accepted the ring and asked, puzzled by why Dean gave him a ring.
"This ring was made and crafted by my friend, it will mask the number of hidden seals you uncovered."
"If someone tries to find your hidden seals, use the ring, it will assist you."
"Just touch the ring and visualize what others want to see, you will know!" Dean Alfin smiled.
Gin visualized a hidden seal in the navel region like normal people. As soon as he did that, the hidden seal in both his arms faded and a new hidden seal manifested in his navel region.
"Wow, it's amazing!" Gin exclaimed.
"Gin, remember it's just an illusion! At normal times, it's just a regular ring, but only when you visualize, it can reveal its true effect." Dean Alfin said while Gin nodded his head.
Gin didn't know how valuable the ring is, but for him, it's priceless as it can mask his strength and hidden seals from other people's prying eyes.
"Thank you, Dean"
"Don't worry about it, it's just a ring" Alfin laughed. "Come, let's go. Didn't you want suitable martial skills for you?"
Dean Alfin headed to the second floor while Gin followed, excited about choosing a martial skill.
From a small age, he only practiced a single martial art - Burning Skull and one technique - Burning fist.
"What martial skill were you practicing until now?" Dean Alfin casually asked.
"Burning Skull Hybrid martial art!" Gin hesitantly replied as he knows it's a low-level technique.
Dean Alfin staggered a little and looked at Gin, "How did you practice that till now? It's not even considered as low-level technique!"
Gin scratched his head with an embarrassed smile. He already knows about that and also, how the skills are divided after reading the books in the library.
Martial Skills are divided into different ranks - Low, High, Silver, Gold, and Mortal rank martial skills.
Only recently Gin found out, his martial skill was lowest of low rank.
Dean Alfin and Gin stopped before a metallic door with 'Martial Skill' engraved on it. Dean Alfin opened the metal door which was protected by his fingerprint.
"Come," Dean Alfin gestured and went inside while Gin followed.
"Even though we don't have as many martial skills as Skyfire Academy, we have our fair share. Go on, take a look!" Dean Alfin smiled proudly.
There are at least five hundred books, ordered neatly and separately. It was also divided into different sections - attack section, movement section, weapon section, and Physique section.
"You can select a single book from every section but I think you won't be interested in any books in the Physique section as your physique is already stronger."
"Take your time, I will wait outside." Dean Alfin said and withdrew.
Gin moved towards the attack section to choose a suitable skill. He saw numerous techniques - Shadow world, Heavenly Rain, Fire dragon claw, Silver Metal skill, and much more.
Gin began to read the description of every offensive type of martial skill.
~Shadow world - High rank
This skill helps one to blend with their surroundings and become a shadow. Their fist attacks and kick will be like a shadow; unpredictable, invisible and fast.
~Fire dragon claw - Silver Rank
Upon reaching perfection level, one's hand can transform into that of a claw of fire dragon.
~Heavenly Rain - Silver Rank
High-speed offensive skill, upon perfecting the first stage, your attack will become very fast like raindrops falling from the sky and engulf your opponents with it.
Fist of Destruction (Part-1) - Silver Rank
An offensive type of Fist technique. At the perfection of the 1st level, a single fist becomes ten fists. If someone was able to achieve the third level, their fist attack will be nothing but pure destruction.
"This is it!" Gin fell in love with the 'Fist of Destruction' martial skill as soon as he read the description.
Even so, Gin read the description of other martial skills afraid of missing the good ones. Once he finished reading every offensive skill, he moved on to select a movement technique.
Unlike the attack section, he didn't notice any interesting skills in the movement section. The only skill which got Gin's eye is, 'Ray of Morning Sun'
A Silver Rank movement technique, if one can comprehend the true meaning of this skill, they can travel as fast as the morning sunlight.
Even though Gin was not interested in any weapon skills, he still chose a skill.
'Death Dance' - Silver Rank
With daggers in two hands, one can dance amid the enemies on the battlefield. Gin like this weapon type martial skill.
After picking these three martial skills, Gin came outside and showed it to Dean Alfin.
When Dean Alfin saw the 'Fist of Destruction' skill in Gin's hand, his eyes flickered. He soon sighed and mumbled, "Is this destiny?"
As Gin was thinking about the skills he has chosen, he didn't clearly hear Dean's words.
"Dean, I saw this 'Fist of Destruction' skill is only a first part, do we have other parts in our academy?" Gin suddenly asked, remembering.
"Yes, you can come and ask me after you perfect the first stage." Dean Alfin said.
"Ok"
"Tell me when you are ready to visit the combat arena, I will make the necessary arrangements." Dean Alfin said.
"Sure, Dean. I was thinking of leaving after three days." Gin said.
"Whenever you're ready."
