Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Gold And Silver

I wiggled out of Sythyon's grip using my wings to hover in front of him. I folded my arms in annoyance. "You are not fine! I'm sorry I've been pushing you so hard." I looked around hoping that there would be a place for us to land and rest for a few minutes, but then felt Sythyon's arms wrap around me again.

"You shouldn't worry. I don't mind. But what I do mind is you leaving my touch like that." He pressed my back to his chest and kissed the back of my neck suddenly making me blush. "Sythyon!" I then remembered what he said back in the fortress about how his behavior was going to change the longer he was in complete demon form. That thought only made my blush redden.

I could feel his lips curve into a smile on my skin as he pulled away. "Sorry. I can't help it." I crossed my arms again still blushing. "I know." Suddenly, I saw something in the corner of my eye and turned to see a ship in the distance. I recognized the flag and jumped with excitement. "Hey! That's Johnathan's ship over there!"

Sythyon looked to it raising an eyebrow and I pointed relieved. "He can help us so you don't have to use so much energy flying!" Sythyon looked at me like I was a crazy person. "Johnathan Gold? As in, the ruthless king of the seven seas? Why the hell would someone like that help us?" I remembered that I haven't told him yet about my previous adventure. "We're friends! I met him awhile ago and he gave us a ride to Devil's island."

Sythyon looked back to the ship uncertainly. "I never thought that bastard would make friends with a woman." I smiled a little remembering the last time we saw each other. 'He kinda didn't have a choice.' I thought.

"He's not as bad of a person as you think. Though be careful, the crew might be startled seeing something like you flying towards them." Sythyon shrugged and did as I said, starting to fly towards the ship. When we got there, Sythyon landed on the railing and let me down onto the deck. I saw the crew in front of me tense with their blades out, but were relieved once they saw me.

A pirate that I recognized from when I was here before walked up to me. "Silvera? What are you doing here?" I smiled nervously. "I was hoping that I could get your help with something. Is Johnathan here?"

Right as I said that the door opened from under the stairs and Johnathan walked out. "What the hell is going on up here?! What's with all the noise?!" He then froze when he saw me. "Silvera?" My smile brightened and I waved to him. "Hi again!" He stood in surprise for a moment then jumped when he saw Sythyon. "Uh, you know that the king of the underworld is standing behind you right?"

I nodded. "Yeah he flew me here. Were uh, um-" Sythyon cut me off with a glare directed at Johnathan. "Lovers." As soon as he said that everyone's mouth dropped. Johnathan's face then turned pale. "What?! You're lovers with the most powerful being?! Uh... Y-You didn't tell him about what happened... Right?" I wanted to laugh at how scared he was of Sythyon even though he had every right to be. "No."

He became relieved until Sythyon spoke again. "What happened?" I smirked. "I beat him in a sword fight." Johnathan's expression changed into annoyance and Sythyon raised an eyebrow. "I never knew you could sword fight." I crossed my arms proudly. "I can't."

Suddenly the whole crew burst out laughing and Johnathan yelled at them angrily. "Shut up!! It was beginners luck!!" I giggled a little and Johnathan turned back to me annoyed, but it quickly changed into surprise and blush when he noticed my wings. "Huh? When did you-?" Sythyon cut him off obviously irritated with the way he was looking at me. "I gave them to her."

Johnathan returned Sythyon's glare until I suddenly hugged him. "I'm glad I got to see you again!" He tried to push me away yelling embarrassingly. "Hey!! Knock it off!! What are you doing here anyway??!!" I let him go remembering everything that happened and my expression changed into worry. "Right, we need your help! Sythyon's brother kidnapped Cienar and we need to rescue him fast!" Johnathan rolled his eyes. "Why can't your boyfriend take you there?" I answered not noticing his jealous tone. "Sythyon was shot with a poison arrow and is having trouble flying. Please can you take us?"

He hesitated for a moment. "What's in it for me?" I crossed my arms. "You can't even do a favor for your friend without getting your greed involved?" He gave me an unamused look and I turned away walking towards Sythyon. "And here I thought finding Atlantis would've been a sweet surprise and reward for you but I guess not. Bye bye now."

I waved and everyone on the ship's eyes opened wide. Johnathan stopped me suddenly. "Wait! Did you say Atlantis?!" I turned back smiling but didn't say anything. His tone suddenly became desperate. "I'm sorry! I didn't-! I'll definitely help you!" I raised an eyebrow then sighed. "I can't believe I'm friends with such a greedy rotten, thieving liar." He glared at me. "Hey-!" I cut him off before he could say anything else and smiled. "But I'm sure glad that I am." He stopped surprised again and his face became red. "Stop being such a trickster!!"

I laughed glad that I was able to tease Johnathan again and that we would be having an adventure together. A little while later, Sythyon guided the ship using magic to fill the sails with wind so the ship would go faster. I noticed that the crack in his neck was slowly healing and felt relieved. I really hoped that Cienar was alright and we would get there in time.

Meanwhile:

It was past noon and Cienar stopped the current suddenly worried. He got to his feet and looked down at the water below the ship beside him. He looked at it with dread until he heard Lothor behind him. "Why did you stop?" Cienar's expression faded and he turned to Lothor emotionless. "It's below us." Lothor raised an eyebrow suspiciously. "That didn't take long." Cienar stayed still. "You wanted to get here quickly. If I didn't control the current we wouldn't have reached it for at least two more days."

Lothor didn't say anything and Dagger came up to the other side of the ship looking down at the sea. "Ugh, I hate water. This is gonna suck." Lothor turned around and folded his arms across his chest. "Don't worry. The only ones going down there are me and the Siren."

Dagger looked up surprised. "But then how are you going to bring back whatever is down there?" Lothor chuckled. "I thought it would be easier if I just bring up the whole city. I'm not too fond of water either."

Cienar's eyes widened and he gave Lothor a confused look. "What do you mean by that? Lifting an entire city from the bottom of the ocean to the surface would take massive amounts of power that I doubt even you could have." Lothor shrugged. "I totally agree. But you've forgotten that I do have something with said power." Cienar remembered the horn and became angry. "You said that you wouldn't use it." Lothor raised his finger at Cienar casually. "I said that I wouldn't let it run out."
