In the beginning, the first reports from R&D Department (even though this department is mainly for technology companies, Wang Enterprise deals with a bit of everything thus has an R&D Department) and Administration Department were doing well but in the middle of the meeting, after the report from the finance department, the director started trembling and close to crying as Yang asked many questions that the director did not expect thus Yang had an even colder aura and menacing gaze.
"What is this!" Yang shouted and almost banged the table
"Why are the company funds lower than the previous quarter when the stocks of our company have been going higher by 8%!" Yang said (more like a normal tone but you can hear his anger while he spoke)
"S-s-s-sir I-I-I d-d-don't k-know" the director was trembling at this point. Almost crying because he had no idea why the numbers were lowered but he didn't have time to investigate
"Find out now! Or else you're fired!" Yang shouted
"Y-y-yes s-s-sir" the director was on the verge of crying
'S-s-should I call CEO Li and ask her to call CEO Wang to make him calmer? Yes I should, look at the poor directors almost in tears and trembling'
Assistant Wu dialed CEO Li business number and because he was Yang's assistant, she saved his (Wu's business number) onto her business only phone
"Hello?" Xiu Ying picked up the call when she saw Assistant Wu was calling. At the moment she was getting ready to go to work and she just finished changing when she saw him (Wu) calling her
"Hello CEO Li" Assistant Wu said in a whisper like voice
"Huh? Why are you whispering Mr. Wu? Speak up" Xiu Ying said furrowing her brows
"Um-m that is not something I can do at the moment. I called asking if you can give CEO Wang a call?" Min-Jun Wu
"Why?" Xiu Ying asked, suspicious of this call
"Please! You may ask him but just please call him for anything!" Min-Jun Wu was sweating as he looked around at the room and can see his boss is about to explode at any moment!
"Fine" Xiu Ying said, as at the moment she only was reading documents and could use a small break. (She was reading documents at home, that were from yesterday that she didn't finish because she went to pick up her mother) Plus she can thank Yang for taking her back home after Yu's birthday because she forgot to go to his villa and just remembered she should thank him
Right after, Xiu Ying hung up her phone and dialed Yang's personal number using her business phone because she didn't want to get up and get her personal phone from her purse on the couch
*ring ring ring* Yang's phone rung, although his phone wasn't that loud, the room was so silent everyone could hear it
Yang furrowed his brows, getting upset that someone called him in the middle of the meeting, and checked his phone. At first, he was confused since very few people had his personal number and the people who did are either all working or usually don't bother him during work hours. And he paid the phone company (that he had majority shares in) to make sure that no prank/scam call could call him. He picked up the call without looking at the ID of the caller (and although Ying doesn't know, he did save both her business and personal phone number in case she would call him during work hours so she would probably use her business number. But since he was in a foul mood, he didn't check the number -_-)
"What?!" Yang said in a frustrated tone
"Um hello to you too" Xiu Ying said, confused as to why Yang was mad and use that tone on her, one that she was not used too (Yang usually always makes sure that he is never harsh on her because they are very unstable and he isn't willing to lose his Ying again but because he was pissed, he didn't see Xiu Ying calling
"X-xiao Ying?" Yang asked uncertain so he pulled back his phone to see that his Ying did, in fact, call him. Now he feels guilty for yelling at Xiu Ying liked that
"Yes, are you ok? You seem upset, I can call you later" Xiu Ying said, a little upset that Yang almost yelled at her
"No no, it's fine, sorry Xiao Ying. Why did you call me?" Yang apologized than asked
"Oh I just called to say thanks for dropping me off home that day after gege's birthday party since I forgot to tell you thanks before" Xiu Ying said
"You don't need to thank me" Yang said in a softer, tender tone
Everyone in the room was gaping at Yang because Yang changed from a devil into a doting lover in a second! Everyone was curious as to who it was that Yang was talking to in such a warm, soft, loving voice and even apologized to the person, apologized!
"hmm, by the way, am I disturbing you?" Xiu Ying asks, prepared to end the call should he have to do something. She was never a person who liked distracting others from their work.
"No, what about you? Do you have a meeting soon? Should we talk later?" Yang asked concerned he was disturbing her
"Mm no, today I don't have too much to do, I'm only reading documents right now" Xiu Ying said
"Xiao Ying, do you want to go have dinner with me tonight if you aren't busy?" Yang asked anxiously as he wants to get closer to her heart
"Hmm what time?" Xiu Ying asked, not sure if she can depending on her schedule
"9 pm at Furongji, does that sound good?" Yang asked, remembering that this restaurant was a new one and a very high-end restaurant. He heard his subordinates talk about it, and was curious at the time, thinking if he could take his Ying there, and saw that the restaurant's style was one that Xiu Ying liked and had good reviews thus choose this place.
