"Hmm I'll text or call you back after I ask my assistant" Xiu Ying said
"Mmm ok, bye Xiao Ying" Yang said but did not hang up because he wanted to wait for a reply (aka stalling for time as he loves listening to her voice if it was any other person he wouldn't even bother waiting before hanging up on people)
"mmm...bye...Yang Yang" Xiu Ying said and hung up real quick as she was embarrassed since she hasn't called Yang that since they broke up while she was in high school
Yang at first was so stunned hearing that endearing nickname after so long that he forgot to speak and only came out of it when he heard the call ends
'S-s-she spoke the nickname again...after so many years, I can finally hear it again. My love, I promise you I won't hurt you again, I spent years making my company the best of the best to protect you.' Yang was thinking
Although his face and body language didn't show anything, if you look closely into his eyes, you can see all the emotions he is going through right now
Throughout the whole conversation, the directors were shocked that their president was talking to someone so kindly like a lover when they've never heard anything. Some gossip was that he was either gay or he was just not interested in male nor female. They all thought they were dreaming because how could their cold president who hated going near men and even his assistant was a male and the only female(s) on their boss's floor was the secretaries but they only report to Assistant Wu and not directly to Yang.
Yang was in a daze thinking about Xiu Ying until Assistant Wu coughed and that snapped him out of his daydream and he glared at everyone then said in a powerful voice "continue"
The meeting carried on and it wasn't the smoothest and left 1 director crying silently and the rest all terrified and preparing everything about their department because after Yang "requested" for a whole report on the departments and in private asked Min-Jun Wu to investigate the Finance Department discreetly to find out about what is happening
- meanwhile with Xiu Ying -
After Xiu Ying hung up on the call with Yang, she bit her lower lip surprised at herself using a nickname from the past she wished to not remember sometimes because the last prominent memory she had in high school was of the breakup
She then got her car key and went to her white Mercedes-Maybach GLS and drove to her office (the main headquarters of Li Empire)
After she arrived at her cabin, she started resuming in reading the documents until it was lunchtime
Although she didn't notice, her assistant Yan knocked on the door and hearing a positive response, open the door and said
"Ms.Li, it is lunchtime, would you like me to order some lunch for you?" Zhang Yu Yan asked
"Hmm just order a chicken teriyaki with a bowl of rice and a small caesar salad as a side dish as well" Xiu Ying said, craving for some chicken teriyaki

"Yes Ma'am" Yan said, bowed her head a little, and walked away closing the door behind her
- Somewhere in Country J (aka Japan, also setting here is China) -
A young man and woman around in their late twenties walked into a room where a middle-aged man in his 40-50s was standing looking down from his office. The building was a 70 story building and the room was very clean and he was standing in front of his floor to ceiling window when the two people came
"Master, we have reports on Wang Yang and what he has been up too" The young man said
The middle-age man just nodded which was a sign to continue
"As of now, Wang Yang has been building his connections and now has made himself into the top ten men in Asia sir although overseas he has not been able to acquire as much power as in Asia" the young woman replied sweating a little as that would make it more difficult for the middle-age man to conquer and destroy the Wang Family since now his power and wealth is under that of Wang Yang but his connections runs deep especially overseas
"Huh that Wang Yang surely wants to protect that Ms. Li Xiu Ying ever since I threatened to kill her. Truthfully I don't want to kill the girl since she hasn't done anything but I will if I have to, to break Wang Yang and his family" the middle age man said
The young man said "It also seems that Wang Yang started pursuing Ms. Li Xiu Ying again"
"Hmm plant doubts in the girls head or have her fall for another guy slowly, that should break him, especially since he will most likely become the head of the family once his father becomes the Patriarch of the Wang family when the old man dies" the middle-aged man says plotting something while the whole time staring down at the road watching people walk
"Yes sir" both young people said at the same time
"Do you need anything else sir?"
"Hmm tip Wang Yang later on once you made the girl doubtful that he won't break up with her this time or plant a boy. I want to see him suspicious but not panic. Also make sure if you plant a boy to make him court her, making them into a relationship might be hard as we would need to find a guy who is of high status and would be able to meet her but try to find a guy that is at least one of higher status to make the girl less doubtful" the middle-age man said then
"you may leave now"
Both the young man and woman bowed their heads and left to start the assignment
After they left the middle age man started laughing and thought
'Wang family, I will destroy you' he promised to himself and fisted his hands while thinking of the past
