Chapter 25 - The Dragon God - The War of Galaxies

Asura Ryuu was still immersed in the memories of the Dragon God as it all happened. He paid a lot of attention on the internal structure of the Dragon God, his thoughts and the way he used the energy stored in his two cores - Divine Core and Dragon Core.

It may not seem like it, but Dragon God was stronger than all other God Kings and rulers of other realms combined. The only way how he could be threatened was if all human God Kings gathered together with his wife and child against him, but the human God Kings weren't a part of this scheme.

Asura Ryuu witnessed the anger he unleashed upon the humans of their God realm after passing through the spatial rift. His power had fallen drastically because he sacrificed his Divine Core to make this passage and fight back against the law of the Divine Realm. It could be seen how high his power was if he could fight against the entire realm and still be able to contend with human Gods.

Several days have passed since the Dragon God's outrage on the human God realm and the war was already in full heat. But to Asura Ryuu it all seemed a mere moment.

The Rift was a meeting point for the four God Realms.

Several tens of thousands of Divine Auras populated the space within The Rift, causing the space to be unstable. There was a war ongoing within the spatial crack.

The three non-human God Realms against the human Gods. At the first glance, it seemed that the three had an advantage in numbers, but that was not the case.

The human Gods were around eighty thousand while the other three races gathered together barely amounted to twenty thousand. It was an overwhelming advantage in numbers.

Not to mention the human Gods' specialty - the extremes of Divine Skills and various combinations they could form.

Even though individually humans were weaker than beasts, devils and spirits, they had one advantage over all others - they had a much easier time having children than other races. That's why this situation occurred.

There was a saying among humans: "Make love to win a war."

It was hilarious and laughed upon, yet the other side couldn't laugh because they were losing precisely because of that.

The love can be cruel at times, but the war is cruel constantly.

There were pairs between humans and other races that had been split apart with this war. It was truly a catastrophe that befell the four realms.

There were human Gods falling with every move the other side made, but for every few humans, at least one on the other side would fall and sometimes even more.

That wasn't beneficial for them at all.

Comparing numbers, there was no chance for the three races to win, hence they could only try to retreat and think of various ways to come back for revenge.

But even heavens seemed to be on the side of humans, albeit temporarily. The Spatial Rift connecting the four realms became unstable and collapsed, which caused the four realms to merge into one huge realm, forming the true Divine Realm and many smaller spatial cracks appeared leading to various other galaxies with different races.

From that point on, many strange things happened. The fight became more and more fierce, taking more lives away than necessary, all because of the greed of humans and the anger of one dragon.

In the end, it evolved into inter-galactic war when residents of other galaxies came rushing through the spatial cracks. All of them came for the rich energy of the Divine Realm. If they could kill freely while the two fought, why would they not take the chance to profit from other's fight?

The four realms were forced to stop fighting among themselves and united against the newly arrived enemies that wanted their motherland. Human God Kings came back in the middle of the war and turned the situation around. If Dragon God had its original strength, there would be no problem winning against those foreign races, but because of the greediness of humans and his moment of inattention, the two sides were always balanced.

Even when God Kings came back and turned the situation around, it didn't last long before the other side united and their topmost powerhouses came rushing through the Spatial Cracks.

The battle was long and exhausting one, lasting for countless ages. All of it started because of the rage of the being whose memories Asura Ryuu experienced at the moment. Feeling responsible for all the mess, Dragon God used almost all of his leftover energy and launched an all-out offensive against the enemies. His best brothers, human God Kings, followed after him and that represented the last confrontation between the two sides.

Dragon God fell, his body split apart among friends and foes - the foes took his treasures and his Dragon Core. Human God Kings defended his corpse but the greed of their followers had once again caused an internal conflict and of the previous Dragon God, his ten claws were split apart and scattered. Each of his claws contained a very fierce power of law within.

Asura Ryuu recognized one - the black claw his parents had left him. It was now his spear.

He finally realized how strong the combination of celestial tree and chains of samsara was. It could seal and devour the claw of the previous Dragon God!

That claw was a top-quality Divine Weapon!

Asura Ryuu watched as the remnant spirit of the Dragon God manipulated one of the ten claws one last time, piercing the space as a bright crimson ray of light and vanishing on the other side of it. After that happened, everything else was history.

Asura Ryuu was already numbed thoroughly. He thought nothing else could surprise him after what he had seen in these sad memories. The saddest thing being that the once great Divine Realm exploded because of the final space fracture caused by the crimson-colored Dragon God's claw that caused all other Spatial Cracks to connect and fragment the Divine Realm into parts like the shards of the broken glass.

The Realm of Gods Asura Ryuu knew of was a grain of salt before the ocean in comparison to the great Divine Realm back then, and even the history that was passed down was altered. The current God Realm has fallen so low that they used the living being as a core to power it just so that Gods could absorb a bit more Divine Energy for themselves.

But even having fallen so low, it was still enough to control myriad worlds under its grasp.

At the peak of the battle, the humans and other three races numbered several hundred millions. It could be seen how long it all lasted back then. From a mere hundred thousand to hundreds of millions, and we're talking about Gods, not normal humans.

The stream of memories finally stopped, and this time Asura Ryuu jumped in surprise even though he thought that would never happen again after what he'd seen. His Spirit World has truly become a World now - the area they wandered into before was his Spirit World now and there was a massive rainbow-colored tree in the middle, piercing the clouds.

---"So, what do you say? Nice home you got yourself here, right?"

Asura Ryuu suddenly noticed the little snake-like dragon that was once that great awe-inspiring Dragon God and felt conflicted.

---"Don't you dare complain now... hmph!"

Asura Ryuu: "Hahaha, why would I complain? I profited so much from this."

---"Hmph. Stinky boy, wait for Spiritual Awakening. You will see how much you truly profited then."

Asura Ryuu: "Spiritual Awakening? Why?"

---"The Spiritual Blood of Heavenly Demon tribe - that's one Spirit Emblem. That thing there-", he said while pointing with his head at the egg on the center of the iridescent lake, "That thing is a crystallization of your intelligence and I don't know what kind of Spirit Emblem it'll be but it will for sure be a Spiritual Type.

My blood has merged with your Heavenly Dragon bloodline and will cause some sort of mutation, but I don't know what kind of mutation it will be - that's your third Spirit Emblem. Even twin Spirit Emblem Spiritualists are rare, yet you will have three - tell me, won't you profit?"
