Overjoyed by the appearance of such an easy quest and yet horrified by the prospect of being beaten and disappointing his father, he scoffed his breakfast down in gullet in an unfashionable and ungraceful manner before quickly checking his homework. He had yet to see the topic he was learning and wondered if that had anything to do with the reason it started a quest.
He brought out a mountain of papers, books, and booklets which towered over him like Mt. Everest to an unexpecting wanderer. Each one had different names on them but most of them were topics which were relatively easy to understand as they were relatively close to mathematics and he had learned the majority of the words he needed to know from the flashback in the past.
He first started with mathematics where the questions were composed of simple equations such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. Nonetheless, his procrastination got the better of him and it took shy under an hour before he got to the Dwarvish language. The questions were composed of the regular questions you'd see in an English literacy paper. Realising that his time was slowly running out and that he had only finished a small percentage of the work, he quickened his pacing and finished in half an hour. He had made sure to complete all of the questions to the highest possible standard and yet he still had some difficulties in understanding the language and its writing. It was difficult to correlate writing and the spoken language itself as the written language was made up of symbols and lines and yet the spoken language had actual words. Nonetheless, he saved those questions for when he would next go to school, although he dreaded it in the corner of his mind.
Satisfied with his current progress, he stepped back and procrastinated over the pile of work in front of him. While going through everything, he slowly became ecstatic as he read all of the titles.
" 'The Geographical Map of Kondruin', 'Daily Prayers to Yaldur', 'The History of the Mildaruk State'... Everything I need to know in the palm of my hands! Thankfully I didn't refuse the quest or else I would've missed out on all of this information! I must say, though, this is quite coincidental... I get all of this the day I get reincarnated? Seems a little bit suspicious..." Sam sighed, a smile beaming on his face.
Although he had just over twenty hours until the deadline of his quest, he had spent the majority of that time learning about the history and geographical situation of Kondruin and the Mildaruk State. Peculiarly, there was no mention of the Holy Alliance of the Five States except a small statement in the 'History of the Mildaruk State' which talked about the transferral of reign to the Pope. Equally as suspicious, there was no mention of the Pope's real name, only his title. However, he decided not to delve into this since it wasn't relevant to his situation and he could always find out more about it later on.
According to 'The Geographical Map of Kondruin', the Mildaruk state was split into eight sections which were governed by nobles and the current king. The map of the Mildaruk State portrayed the state to be circular, with an arc split into several sections and, at the top, a shape like an atomic bomb falling represented the lands of the castle and the capital, which were both governed by the crown. The Mildaruk State was a part of another circle which was split into five sections, labelled the 'Holy alliance of the Five States' while the middle, which was surrounded by the five states, was labelled 'The Holy Land', where Samuel presumed the Pope resided. due to the geographical situation, the Mildaruk State had rarely encountered any invading forces which could overpower them as they only had to defend one front. Since that was all Samuel needed to know about the geography of Kondruin, he quickly answered all of the questions on the booklets and went onto 'The History of the Mildaruk State'.
According to 'The History of the Mildaruk State', the state had originally been an independent kingdom under the rule of a supposed hero who was equally as mysterious as he was handsome. However, as the lineage of the crown was passed down throughout the generations, the corruption within the crown grew until a man named Yalder came along and overthrew the crown with amazing and awe-inspiring prowess. In respect of this man, the people praised him as a God and appointed a Pope to lead the Crown in times of desperation. soon after, the peace soon ended as religions clashed and holy wars ensued, resulting in the Holy Alliance of the Five States.
Satisfied with the information gathered, he finished the rest of his paperwork an hour earlier than the deadline and submitted it to his father who nodded in response. However, Samuel didn't care much about his response as he waited for his rewards.

"Huh? When did I become a prodigy? All I did was answer all the questions given?" Samuel pondered before realising the tears of joy welling up in his father's eyes.
