Chapter 3 - Exam

Morning

The entrance exams are starting, everyone that will take up the exam all have mixed feelings. Some are excited, some are anxious, some are overly confident. But there was one that was the most anxious of them all: a boy named Midoriya Izuku.

He has just received All Might's quirk and has no idea how to use it, even though All Might gave him advice. He was even scolded by a fellow test taker for reasons, apparently he was hindering the others to fail which made his confidence plummet even more.

He entered the test zone soon after. The rules that Present Mic said in the briefing stuck to his head. He just wanted to score one point. He doesn't want to disappoint the man that he looked up to all his life. He entrusted him with his power, and he has to do his part not to disappoint and live up to the Symbol of Peace's expectations.

Hope fell apart bit by bit as he found every robot he could find destroyed before he could make a move. He hated his own timidness, he had a chance, there was a 1-point robot just right in front of him, waiting for him to attack. But his body froze in place. He couldn't move. His body wouldn't listen to his mind. He let the chance slip, and that 1 point was taken from him by a blonde guy oozing with eccentricity.

He swore he wouldn't let a chance like that slip again. But he did. There was a 3-point robot that he saw. He ran towards it, hoping he would be the one to take those 3 points. But there was a problem, the robot was malfunctioning.

The robot kept crashing into walls, shot missiles everywhere, and rammed into the exam takers. Everyone in the scene fled for their safety, hoping for a supervisor to take care of the problem. Theres was but one who stayed, Izuku. He didn't stay out of courage, or confidence, but of fear.

He just did the same thing he recently swore not to do. He just stood there, not budging an inch. The robot's sensors somehow still functional, detected his heat signature and accelerated into his direction, threatening to run him over.

"I'm gonna die... DAMMIT!! All Might... I'm sorry."

Just then, the robot stopped. It glowed an electric violet hue. It levitated 6 feet in the air and then it crushed to smithereens. It was molded into one big ball of metal scrap. And then it fell down on the ground. The robot was no more.

Izuku snapped back to reality and saw a figure on top of one of the buildings wearing a black hoodie. He wore mask that covered his nose and mouth, leaving only his eyes open. His eyes were glowing violet and it faded to a plain black.

Izuku, knowing that this mysterious person is his savior bowed down.

"THANK YOU!!"

The person just gave a light nod and walked away and left. Izuku, finding himself with renewed vigor continued on to try and pass the exams.

=====================================

That incident was definitely NOT in the original timeline. Is my existence in this world finally starting to affect the events that would happen?

Anyways I'm glad I was monitoring him. I was granted permission to be a supervisor of the exam and took this opportunity to watch over Izuku. Needless to say everything was happening just like in the original story, except that rogue robot.

I reported everything back to the teachers through my smartphone and continued to watch over All Might's successor.

Now however, I'm trying to guide Izuku to the place where he would confront the 0-point robot.

Minutes passed and the iconic scene finally occurred. Uraraka was stuck in debris, people fleeing and Izuku once again stood there, until he saw the predicament Uraraka is in.

His heroic spirit finally kicked in and he rushed towards the robot, jumping high in the air and punching the robot. He fell down from where he flew and saved by Uraraka.

"I guess my work here is done."

I flew into the air and left.

...

A week later.

Classes are going to start soon. I put on my uniform and bid my parents goodbye. I flew into the air towards the campus.

Right now I'm not wearing any mask. Which will make all the students see my face. I expect some students to lose control and rush at me to attack, but honestly, no matter their quirk, if the can't move they can't to anything.

I landed right in front of the campus entrance. Everyone around immediately recognizing me. The incident might have been 12 years ago but some reporters were allowed to document my life here. Therefore people know what I currently look like.

I instantly received stares. Some with hatred, some with coldness, some looking down on me, some were trying to hold back from just straight up and try to kill me.

I reached the 1st year campus and walked down the hallways. Of course as expected some weren't able to hold themselves back and attacked me. I just dodged them or pushed them towards the wall, making them unable to move until I released them when I'm far away enough.

I finally reached the classroom I'm assigned in. Class 1-A, the class of the ones with the most potential to become heroes. Future elites.

I held the doorknob. Twisted it and opened the door. There was everyone. The protagonists of the original show. They showed looks of confusion and shock.

I went to a vacant seat and sat down, still feeling their stares at me. Bakugo on the other hand was indifferent. Looks like he doesn't care about who I am or maybe he doesn't know who I am.

Izuku looked at me with curiosity. He's a very smart guy, seems like he recognized me from the exam.

The door swung open again and our homeroom teacher came in: Aizawa. Or more publicly known as Eraser Head.

"Alright, seems like everyone is here. We're going to outside and conduct P.E. tests. Go and where your P.E. uniforms, I'll wait outside."

Today... class starts.
