Aizawa announced to his students of the upcoming sports festival.
"The UA Sports Festival is around the corner. Being in a popular Hero Agency will provide more experience and popularity. Once a year. There's only a total of three chances.
No aspiring hero can let this pass by. If you have the will, be sure to be prepared!!"
"HAI!!" The class shouted in excitement and expectation.
"Alright. That's all for today. Class Dismissed."
Aizawa left the classroom, leaving the students inside as they prepared themselves to go home, putting back their stuff inside their bags. But as soon as they opened the door of their classroom...
"What the heck is this?!?!?!" Uraraka exclaimed in shock. In disbelief of what she's seeing.
"They're scouting for the enemies you dumbass." Bakugo replied to Uraraka's question.
"Scouting for the enemy?"
"We survived the villain attack and are the elit class of UA. They're here to inspect us you morons."
"The sports festival... of course, they'll try to know the weaknesses of the ones that survived the villain and attack and the elite class... us." Iida spoke to himself in realization of his classmate's explanation.
"Get outta here you extras. You ain't worth my time."
"Bakugo-kun!! Please don't suddenly call them extras!!" Iida reprimanded Bakugo, trying to fulfill his duty as the class president.
"Hey hey. Is that Bakugo? He's the one who got the highest score in the extrance exam right?"
"Yeah he's the guy. But he's such a jerk."
"I know right?"
The students from other classes and courses mumbled and chatted amongst themselves.
"Hey look! Is that the Demon of Osaka?!"
"Bro stop saying that! He's a hero!"
"Do you really believe that he protected his classmates?"
"Well yeah of course! All Might said it himself! They even released footage of all the villains that were arrested, and they all admitted that it was Mikami who stopped them. I just think he's misunderstood."
"You... got a point... sorry."
"LOOK!! HE'S COMING OUT!!"
Takeo walked out the door and scanned through the students who were watching him. Seemingly not giving a shit he flew above them and went back home.
...
The rest of the day, Class 1-A spent the entire day preparing for the sports festival. Training in various ways that suited their quirk.
Iida running laps around the campus. Kirishima free-falling from the training zone buildings and letting the ground hit him, increasing his hardness little by little. Bakugo continuously exploding random tress and bushes, trying to increase the limit of his quirk. And Mineta practicing his..... victory wave....
However, the only one who didn't train is our psychic boy. Very confident that he'll easily win the tournament we went to sleep, looking forward to the events that will occur tomorrow.
...
In the resting room assigned to class 1-A. Everyone is excited and nervous. Discussing and guessing what the events of the sports festival would be as it always changes each year, except for the tournament.
Of course, our protagonist Takeo knows of the events to come, but he has no intention of telling these to his classmates. He might've admired them in his past life, but that doesn't mean he would give them an advantage.
"Everyone, are you ready! It's almost time to go!" Iida called for his classmates.
"Hmm?" Takeo looked at Todoroki and Midoriya who are talking. Who could tell that Todoroki is trying to assert his dominance over the other party.
He waited until Todoroki has left Midoriya. He went to him and touched him by the shoulder.
"Relax. You'll do good. Believe in yourself."
Takeo gave words of courage towards his classmate. Knowing that he's the successor of his savior from 12 years ago, he decided to help and increase his confidence, even by a little bit.
The festival has started, the audience is cheering in excitement. Families in their homes sitting right in front of their televisions, looking forward to the show that is about to come.
Present Mic, one of the announcers aside from Eraserhead, introduced every class. From the Hero classes to the Business classes. They walked out into the open stadium, the audience roaring in the background, their cheers almost deafening.
"Everyone quiet!!" The 18+ hero Midnight, wearing an erotic outfit made everyone silent. Mostly likely because of her erotic outfit that the entire place became quiet.
"Class 1-A Representative, Bakugo Katsuki!!"
Being the first placer in the entrance exams, Bakugo is given the right to stand on the pedestal and give out a speech. A speech pledging good sportsmanship and a fair game. But he did the exact opposite.
"I pledge.... that I'll be number one."
That one sentence made the entire crowd angry, so much that the other classes that are very competitive stopped paying attention to the strongest one of the first years, Mikami Takeo, and just shifted their entire focus throwing insults and slanders towards Bakugo.
"At least be a good springboard for me you extras."
[Not if I have to say anything about it. I'll be number one you explosive maniac.] Takeo sent a telepathic message towards Bakugo.
Bakugo, just like Midoriya has an analytical personality, naturally he's studied the quirks of his classmates, including Takeo. He knows that that voice in his head is the one threat to his goal to become number one.
This made Bakugo fume. So much that he just wanted to jump in the crowd and kill Takeo. But he held back himself from temptation, knowing that if he did that, he might be disqualified from the sports festival, losing his chance to win the event. He swore to obliterate the psychic when the event starts.
Takeo just smiled at Bakugo mockingly, as if saying that he doesn't have a chance, that he's destined to be defeated by him. This just increased Bakugo's bloodlust even more.
Midnight finally announced the first event, a race around the stadium. The track filled with traps and obstacles.
All the participating students moved towards the starting line. The countdown started.

GO!!
Everyone started running. Those that had a movement/speed advantage with their quirk immediately used them, while those who had different quirks just ran.
Takeo stayed at the starting line, watching everyone run off to the finish line. He sighed, made himself invisible and flew.
He immediately became the leading place, but because he was invisible Present Mic could commentate about it.
Takeo couldn't see anything but through spacial awareness he could feel everything happening in a 50-meter radius, he can increase this as much as he likes the more energy he inputs into it.
He 'saw' the other 2 leading people: Bakugo and Todoroki. He decided to 'watch' while ensuring that he's still 1st place. He found the fight between the 2 to be amusing.
It continued on, going over the canyon, escaping the villain bots used in the entrance exam, until a large explosion occured at the back when they've reached the minefield, the last hurdle just before the finish line.
Midoriya went flying through the air, using his wits to immediately become the 1st place, or that's what everyone believed.
After seeing that Midoriya has now gained the upper hand, Takeo left the scene and flew right next to the finish line.
He deactivated his invisibility and landed. He walked straight, finishing the race. Breaking the finish line ribbon and triggering the fireworks.
He walked towards the open area of the stadium. The audience, pro heroes, participants, and even the commentators speechless. They literally have no idea what happened.
"I-it would seem.... Class 1-A's Mikami Takeo has become first place and finished the race...."
The order of events that just happened made Aizawa mumble to himself. "You sly bastard. Heh."
The audience roared. A mix of cheers and boos. The rest of the participants finally came in soon after with Midoriya in second, Todoroki in third, and Bakugo in fourth.
This dealt a large blow to Bakugo's pride, he couldn't accept defeat, especially placing in 4th place. He swore to really kill Takeo in the next round, he must, he will.
