Hannah and Lilli walked out of Highland Corp. and down to the car lot where Hannah's car was. They walked up some stairs to the second level and arrived at a slick silver car that Hannah unlocked and got in.
"Woah, nice car," Lilli complimented Hannah while sitting down in the passenger seat.
"Thanks, it's my dream car," she happily replied.
Turning the key, Hannah started driving to their destination, a small bar near the outskirts of the city. Since it was a Friday, they decided to have a company get together to get Lilli better aclimated to her coworkers. The two girls had a light conversation on the ride there, and a few minutes later they arrived in the parking lot. Hannah parked her car, and after locking it walked in with Lilli to go find their coworkers.
Lilli, looking around spotted the only two familar people she knew, Tray and Luke, at a table in the back. She nudged Hannah to point them out, then walked over and sat down.
"Hi, glad to see you showed up!" Luke greeted her, his bubbly personality showing.
"Yeah, I figured it'd be a good way to get to know some people outside of the office," she responded.
The four of them had some small talk about their interests and hobbies while more people came in from the office, way more then Lilli knew. In total, about 15 people showed up, with only 3 being people she knew. She decided that she would definitely need some alcohol to lossen up and not be nervous, so she walked up to the bar and asked for a mixed drink to calm her nerves. As she was waiting she felt someone behind her pass by, than saw someone come and stand next to her. Looking over, she made eye contact with a man.
"Hey Lilli, didn't expect to see you here," Daniel said while smiling.
"Yeah, I didnt think you'd be here either," Lilli responded, realizing who he was.
Just then the bartender came up and handed Lilli her drink, then asked if Daniel would like anything.
" Yeah I'll take whatever she got," he said while jestering to Lilli's drink.
"Coming right up," the bartender said then left to go make his drink.
"I wanted to see if you have good taste," Daniel explained to Lilli.
Lilli laughed then took a sip from her drink and said, "Well, it tastes good to me so well see if you like it."
Daniel got his drink a minute later, and after admitting that it was good, they went amd sat down at the table with the rest of the employees. They talked about their interests and some of their plans they have the comming weekend, and throughout the while night Lilli kept drinking. Lilli knew she was drinking more then she could tolerate, but was nervous from the constant interaction with peope she didnt know well, so by the end of the night she had already had more drinks then she could remember.
Daniel saw this and laughed at the flushed face of Lilli. Catching her attention, Lilli looked around for who had laughed.
Catching sight of him, she said, " Why are you laughing?"
Hearing her slurred words, Daniel couldn't help but laugh more and stand up to get her.
"I think youve had to many drinks, let's get you home. Where's Hannah?" Daniel said while looking around for her. He spotted her flirting with a man at the bar, and could tell that she did not want to leave then.
"Well, I guess I'll have to take you home. Let's get your stuff and head out." Daniel explained while helping Lilli up from her chair and getting her coat for her.
Lilli stumbled to the door, leaning on Daniel in her drunken state. They made it outside to his car, a sleek black car with leather seating. Gently letting her down into the passenger seat, he made sure she was buckled and walked around to the drivers side and got in.
"Where do you live?"
