Ming Ye watched his tears fall and soaked Luo Shi's clothes before drying. "Luo Shi…" he called. "Do you think I'll grant you your wish? Maybe if you didn't choose to die, I might have granted it. But – " his eyes narrowed as he held Luo Shi's hand tight. " – I won't let you. I won't let you!" he said before he carefully placed Luo Shi's hand on the bed and stormed out of his room.
"My Lord!" a subordinate cried.
"Where's Wu Yuan?" he asked.
"Still at the prison." The subordinate answered.
Ming Ye left, but a smile was on his face. If that is Luo Shi's wish, then why can he not wish for it, too? If Luo Shi wanted to trade for his life in exchange for the sect and the world, why can't he trade for it, too?
