Chapter 6 - Siege?

P.O.V. Bandit Leader

When we returned to our encampment with only 5 men of 50 the entire camp was in shock. We were supposed to be hunting a small group of people who hunted out convoy but only returned with 5. In the end we explained we came across a group of people who were carrying weapons, that would make an extremely loud noise, and when you heard that noise one of our brothers would be lying on the ground in a pool of blood. This frightened everyone an unknown enemy with unknown weapons that could easily take out a group 5 times their size.

About six days later our man started seeing strange looking men, walking around the base, scouting us from a distance I ended up ordering the men not to leave the encampment explaining that those were the "demons" who slaughtered our men earlier this week. Over the next couple days, they keep reappearing not caring to hide themselves. We've been trapped in our base, the men became frightened, normally we held the upper hand and I would lead the attack. Not this time, we've been holed up inside ever since we returned and this proved how frightened the enemy was. Slowly, people who patrolled the walls started disappearing. We've gone from 30 of us to 25 in just a few days, with no bodies we've have no idea what happened.

A few more days have days and a cart appeared next to the gate, with the bodies of the men who disappeared, a few nights ago. All five of them have what look to be claw marks across their necks. Our men began terrified and no one ventured out alone always in groups. More changes keep appearing, every hour no matter what time of the day, the *bangs* could be heard. This absolutely terrified the men, remember the story on how 45 of their brothers were butchered. Some men began desperate and tried to escape at night, only for those attempting to sleep at night to hear constant ring of *bang bang bang.* All the bodies of those who escaped ended up as a corpse and returned to the encampment in the morning in that cart. Our numbers are reduced to 19.

The fear and tension of the remaining 19 spread because of the memories of the hunt. These memories of caused another small group of 2 to attempt to escape at night, this time with one returning back to base alive. We very quickly retrieved him from outside. Asking him how he made it back, he replied and said it was because he was allowed to, he went on explaining that the demon eyes would, have a bright green eyes at night and could track you whenever you go or hide. They can see in the dark....we tried dragging the deserter back into the base, but as we picked him up *bang* He lay dead, we all looked towards the direction of the sound and saw 5 of the demons, looked at us and returned back into the woods.the Demons are too strong and we have no power to stop them, we rush back into the encampment hiding ourselves our fear made us desperate.

P.O.V. Axel

"So here the plan, we will openly scout the around the encampment and see if we can lure and sort of attack or plan of action. If they decide to attack we will again attack using guerrilla warfare, in this type of terrain we hold the advantage. Even if they don't take this chance to attack we will start annoying them by firing every hour, hopefully they get pissed enough to come and fight."

The plan being pretty basic was to force the majority of the bandit army outside to fight. Instead the bandit keeps sending out people to seek reinforcements. However, we weren't kind enough to allow them to seek help. We placed our night vision goggles on and hunted the messengers. We've even decided to return the bodies to see if this would force the bandit out of the encampment. Things weren't going as planned for whatever reason these dumb bandits wouldn't come out of encampment. Again, they sent 2 more messengers again we hunted them both and kept one alive. I hope to trick them outside. Except only a few came out, this angered me so i decided to shoot the messenger and return to the forest.

"I think it's time, tonight we scale the walls and force them to submit."

Annoyance could clearly be seen on my face, all the summons stiffened up. They could clearly feel I wasn't happy, however, this didn't discourage them but encouraged them instead to meet the demands of their master. I just wanted to fight on the outside, I wanted a exciting better where 2 armies fight.

The darkness slowly creeped closer. I had entered at 4 different points 3 of Red Squad from the West, 3 of Green from the East, Black at the main-gate in the North, and 2 from red and green to the South. Midnight drifted and *pew pew pew* 6 bandits dropped instantly, every single one of the wall guards gone. Every squad had their assignments. My squad went directly to the Bandits Leader room, instantly capturing him. While the others hit the barracks, and the "jail."

Morning came along and 3 bandits were left alive for the prisoners to decide the fates. The Leader himself and 2 of his men. There were about 10 women and 7 men being held in the "jails" I'm sure you can imagine, the treatment they received. What amazes me though is that 2 of the men were former knights. Although scared they all decided we should execute the remaining bandits.

Now that we own the encampment, I offered the prisoners to stay and live here under our protection which they surprisingly all agreed to. My summon ended up burning the bodies of the bandits while the rest of us began sprucing up the place a little, and began planning on expansion without being spotted.
