Chapter 11 - A Months Passing

As a month passed, rumors of an assassin attempt on Prince Henry's life began circulating around the Kingdom of Creekside, these rumors stated that even though he survived the attack on his life, he was heavily injured and is unlikely to live. With this information the Mages of Creekside were excited that the plan they had didn't completely fail and have been trying to find the source of these rumors, eventually learning that a few miles outside of the City of Creekside the prince and his remaining knights have been hiding hoping for his recovery.

"Finally, we've had a breakthrough and narrowed down the location of Prince Henry so we should send troops immediately." - Mysterious Man 1

"I agree. The Longer we wait for Henry's recovery the less likely our plan will succeed." Mysterious Man 2

"Send out our personal soldiers only, not the kingdoms soldiers, we don't want news of this to spread among the populace, we must keep this as quiet as possible. Also, just make sure we say we are just running a military exercise." - Head Mysterious Man

--------------P.O.V. Kairi

"Commander, it seems bait has been bitten and they are finally making there move towards ground zero, I count roughly 100." (Kairi)

"Alright, Return to Checkpoint One, it's a good thing I decided to summon Green Squad." {Axel}

-------------- P.O.V. Axel

Meanwhile, back at Checkpoint One, Axel was instructing his men on the multiple fronts setting up an ambush for the encroaching 100 soldiers. With Black/Red/Green Squad all assembled he figured this victory would be a walk in the park especially with his two newest Soldiers, Sniper Team 1 A.K.A. Gold Squad Sam and Terry. With the addition of the snipers we can now pick off the leaders of the army without much of a problem and cause mass confusion throwing the formations of our enemies into disarray. Looking back towards the Checkpoint One, a lightly modified horse wagon with a few dense trees knocked over for cover.

"I suppose this is where it all starts, remember to fall back immediately after firing a couple rounds into their formation, our goal is to lower their numbers even a little before reaching the house. Red Squad will take care of the hard part and lure the enemy towards the house. Just don't scare them away only a few rounds every so often." (Axel)

"Yes Sir!" (Everyone)

------------P.O.V. Enemy Knight Commander

"Movement Ahead! Halt!" - Knight Commander noticing the odd scene appearing in front of him a wagon flipped on its side with trees covering the side blocking easy access even around the sides, he noticed a group of 3 (Kairi/Jacob/Ron) positioning themselves around the wagon. "Name yourselves thieves!"

"Long Live Prince Henry!!! Die Traitors!!" (The three yell in unison)

Six loud BANGS are fired into the soldier's formation instantly killing six soldiers, before they start retreating down the road. Startling the Knight Commander and noticing the unfortunate deaths of 6 men. He begins to worry almost calling the retreat when he notices that they immediately begin retreating.

"Don't falter men, apprentice mages slaughter them!" The Knight Commander screams loudly. " At least we know why the Assassins failed. Having hidden 3 apprentice mages would definitely destroy a small group of assassins." He stealthily whispers to himself.

The Soldiers begin a light pursuit after the 3, however, to his surprise the 3 were able to keep their distance never getting to far or too close to the soldiers they would throw one of their spells back killing a soldier here or there, losing about 15 men to these strange mages The Knight Commander looks toward his own group of 3 apprentice mages. "Once they get tired, finish those 3 off" all 3 of them nodded agreeing with the Commander's statement. Just then the 3 of them stop and hide behind some odd-looking structures that the knight commander has never seen before, tightly packed bags of sand. " Mages do...." suddenly blood splatters over the Commander's face not even realizing what exactly happened he looks towards the two mages observing their decimated bodies laid flat on the ground. Witnessing their death happen right in front of him he begins to hesitate. "What to do..." He says to himself, before realizing that the group of enemies that he was fighting began withdrawing into the forest. "Halt! What the hell happened here?! What are our casualties?"

" 18 Deaths and 7 Heavy Wounded Sir! And Umm...." The soldier looks to his side, staring at the 2 corpses. "2 of the Apprentice Mages....Sir If we don't return with the bodies of the Rebels we will be executed." He says, looking defeated.

"Trust me I know." The Commander says in an undermined tone.

--------------P.O.V. Axel

"We've Eliminated roughly a quarter of the enemies and Gold Squad has killed 2 of the 3 Apprentice Mages" (Kairi)

"Alright return and position at Location U with Gold Squad in Position H." (Axel)

"Roger!" (Kairi)

Axel looks over towards the prince and his remaining knights and just shakes his head. "With Kairi and her troops returning everyone will be in position. The battle should take no more than a few minutes if even that. With the deaths of this small army we can begin our next plan."

"No one is to fire until they are in the middle, Gold Squad will take out the return mage immediately and that will be when we harvest the rest of the soldiers is that clear? As Axel finished what he was about to say, the army appeared coming out of the forest entering the clearing near the isolated house. This house stood near a small sparkling waterfall which was roughly about 200 feet away from the house. Gold Squad sitting atop of it, and Green Squad inside of it. While Black Squad was housed in and around the house.

With the Approaching Army they stop roughly 500 feet away from the house " Prince Henry, please surrender so we may prevent further bloodshed within the Kingdom of Creekside for you and our people." Proclaims the Knight Commander.

After a moment of silence, the door of the house is opened. To the Knight Commander's surprise, it was not the Prince who exited the house, but a man in an unfamiliar attire. An ominous outfit of pitch black and his face covered with a stark white mask. "I'm regretful to tell you but, Prince Henry has hired us to protect him from the Rebellion, against the crown that your current leaders have enacted. So, a message from Prince Henry for those who lay their arms down and admit they are wrong before I march upon the capital your lives shall be spared. As such I order you to surrender and offer your lives to be harvested by IronHide."
