The king and Jeremy entered the royal armory. There they were greeted by the royal weaponsmith. He had been crafting weapons for the kingdom for the past twenty years. His weapons were remarkable, able to withstand countless battles with the demon hordes. He was a generational blacksmith and the tricks of his family had been passed down through seven generations.
"Jacob." The King addressed the weaponsmith. "I need you to look at this." The king hands Jacob the crossbow.
"Marvelous design, your majesty." Jacob said as he looked the item over. "Did you create this, your highness?"
Pride swelled in the king's face. "It was my adorable princess Luna. She came up with the design all by herself."
"Isn't the princess only six?!" Jacob was astounded that a child came up with such a device. "And what did she call this device?"
"She called it a crossbow." The king was over the moon at how great his little girl was. "I have tested it, it works extremely well and is very easy to use. Do you think you can mass produce this for all our soldiers?"
Jacob looks the item over again. "Yes, your majesty, however I require time, it of course would go a lot faster if I had the maker of the device down here with me, helping."
"I see." Said the king. "Any way around bother my dear sweet Luna? I just want her to be able to play and not worry about this awful war!"
"I'm sorry, your majesty, but if you want these crossbows quickly I am going to need her help." Jacob responded. "If there is no rush, then I do not need her, no."
"No, no, it is rather urgent. Jeremy would you be so kind as to fetch our darling little princess?" The king asked.
"I shall bring her at once, sire." Jeremy said as he bowed to the king and left.
Luna was out in the courtyard training. She was doing drills that would build her muscles, and increase her strength and speed. She had been working hard nonstop since she left the war room earlier. Her dress had become covered in stains and her little legs had dirt all over them. Her hair was wet from all the sweat as well as her dress.
"Princess Luna, I have found you at last!" Jeremy said as he approached the tiny girl. "Look at you, your a mess! You father will have me head if I take you to him looking like that. Come along let's go get cleaned up before I take you to your father.
"I don't wanna!" She complained. "There's nothing wrong with a little dirt and sweat! In her past life as Henry she basically lived outdoors when she was on missions. Surviving off the land was all part of being an elite soldier. Getting filthy while training just reminded her, of her previous life. She liked it.
"We can't have the princess running around looking like a beggar!" Jeremy demanded. "Now come with me so we can get you cleaned up!"
Luna was not pleased. To show her contempt for Jeremy's demands she ripped off her dress and threw it at him as she stormed off. She went bare assed to the maids quarters so that they could wash her up. She had learned there was no point trying to bathe yourself when you are a royal. People are required to do it for you. She hated this, it stood against everything in her soul. After the maids finished washing her they put her in a fabulous blue dress that really accented her eyes. They also combed her hair and put it up in a big blue bow. Luna hated this as well, she was the castle's dress up all. They were forever putting her in all sorts of adorable attire. She would kill for just a regular shirt and pants.
She went back to where Jeremy was waiting. He was still holding her dirty dress. "Is this fine? Can we go see my daddy now?" The little princess asked.
Jeremy scooped her up and carried her back to the king. As they entered the room the king's face lit up upon seeing his daughter in that adorable outfit. "Oh my sweet Luna!" He said as he ran over to get her from Jeremy. "Your just so cute! Listen Luna, Jacob here needs your help. He cant make your crossbow by himself in the time we need. Do you think you could help him?"
"Of course daddy!" Luna happily responded. She was thrilled that she was finally going to get to do something productive. Having to grow up all over again really sucked. She wanted more then anything, to get back out into the action she had once known.
The King and Jeremy left Luna and Jacob alone to do their work. Jacob and Luna worked through the night. Jacob had never seen a child so determined before, it only spurred him on and made him work harder. Before they knew it, they had completed enough crossbows to supply the royal army.
"We did it princess!" Jacob shouted.
"Yay! We can save that village now!" Luna responded in her tiny voice.
"I don't know how we managed it, but we made it through." Jeremy said taking in the work they had done.
"Amazing what just two people, and around two hundred craftsmen can do in one night." Luna said happily. For you see it was not just those two building the crossbows, but everyone who worked for the royal armory helped the little princess build her crossbows.
"If you ever have any more ideas, little princess, be sure to share them with me, ok?" Jacob said now sitting trying to relax.
Luna's face lit up with happiness. "I have so many ideas!" She shouted.
"Oh great!" Said Jacob. "Why don't you tell me about them?"
Luna got a grin on her face because she could not contain the excitement over what she was about to say. "First thing on my list is called a gun!"
