Chapter 14 - The Tour In Adventurer's Guild

Audelia wouldn't have believed that in her first visit to the adventurer's guild, she would meet the guild master himself. As she watched him descended the stairs and knelt in front of her, the man introduced himself.

"My name is Harold Frenzier, The Guild Master of Rozenkrenzt." Harold knelt and reached for Audelia's hand as he planted a soft kiss on it.

"It is an honor to meet you, Lady Audelia."

Audelia returned with a polite smile, "It's an honor to meet you as well, Sir Frenzier."

"Please Milady, call me Harold." He rose to his feet and turned his gaze to Jonathan.

"I shall do that." Audelia nodded and noticed Harold's gaze. "This is Sir Jonathan. He is.. my friend."

Harold's eyes flickered slightly and smiled even more warmly, "Pleasure to meet you, Sir Jonathan."

"Likewise, Sir Harold."

"So what made you go all the way here, my lady?" Asked Harold, turned his gaze back.

"Well I heard about adventurer's guild and curious about it. So in my first excursion, I came to visit this place." Audelia answered as she glanced at Jonathan before continuing,

"It's right in the moment Sir Jonathan visited the palace so he came along with me."

"I see. Well shall I guide you personally?"

"Oh no, that would be too much.." Audelia waved her hands in panic as she rejected the offer.

Well she was right, because it would too much for the guild master to guide them. It was more of eye catching than too much though..

Yet despite the words of rejection, Harold didn't budge at all. "No, my lady. It won't be too much." he smiled gently, "Looks like the rumor is true."

"Rumor..? don't tell me.."

"Well the rumor about the youngest princess of Leonhart is an angel with kind heart.."

"NO! It is a false rumor! I am NOT an angel at all!" Audelia retorted vehemently.

"And she is always has vast wisdom.."

"No! I don't have that MUCH of a wisdom!"

"And she--"

"Stoooopp iiiiitttt!! Please erase those rumors from your head!"

Silence descended for a short while before Harold let out a soft laughter, it seemed he was amused by Audelia's reaction.

"Lady Audelia, you are really an interesting person."

"Guh.." Audelia felt a rush of heat on her face as she realized her reaction was the cause of the man's laughter. Clearly he was enjoying it.

"Shall we get going now?" Jonathan broke the atmosphere between the two.

He knew it wasn't a good thing to do but he didn't like it. Jonathan was trying hard to get closer to Audelia but the person always drew a line between the two. However this man could make her show such cute reaction on the first meeting, somehow a sense of displeasure appeared in his heart.

"Oh right, my apologies." Harold chuckled, staring at Jonathan's stiff smile with eyes filled with amusement.

Thus, the guild master started guiding them around the guild. Started from the reception desk where people could submit a request to the guild and for the adventurers to take the request from the request board.

Then they moved to the guild board where all the requests accepted by the guild were put. There were seven levels of request, the lowest level was F then moved to E, D, C, B, A and the highest one was S. Of course the adventurer who could take the request was based on those levels as well.

After the guild board, Harold guided them to training room where all the new adventurer had to attend. The purpose for training room was to educate the new adventurer about monsters, items, requests and adventurer's level. This education served wonderfully because it would decrease the risk of death of the new adventurers which happened a lot in the past.

"Thank you for the wonderful guidance, Sir Harold. I have learned a lot from this visit." Audelia smiled happily.

"the pleasure is all mine. I am glad to hear that." Harold chuckled softly, "Do you plan on becoming an adventurer, Lady Audelia?"

"Well.. yes.." Audelia replied awkwardly, "But I have to wait for three more years before I can apply to be an adventurer."

"You're going to be an adventurer?" Jonathan asked as he stared at Audelia in a mix of bewilderment and disbelief.

"But.. you are the daughter of Grand Duke!"

"Is there a rule that says a daughter of Grand Duke CAN'T become an adventurer?" Audelia gave Jonathan a cool gaze.

"N-No.. but.." Jonathan was struggling to say the next words, "..Why? Being the doted youngest daughter of the Grand Duke, your life will be easier and--"

"I don't plan to live an easy life like an ignorant person, Sir Jonathan." Audelia cut Jonathan's words,

"I want to learn more about the world."

"And once again, WHY?" Jonathan asked persistently. He had a feeling that when Audelia became an adventurer, she would be out of his reach. He didn't know why but that feeling suddenly rose in his heart.

"Why not? The world is vast, the knowledge I learn in palace is just a tiny part of the world's knowledge." Audelia replied indifferently,

"I want to see more, to hear more and learn more. That's all there is to it."

"HAHAHAH!!" suddenly a burst of laughter came from Harold, making both Audelia and Jonathan surprised by it.

"Pardon me.. hahaha! I can see the rumors are true after all." Harold said as he threw a happy smile at Audelia.

"Stop thinking about the rumors!!" Audelia chided him.

"HAHAHAHA!!" Harold laughed even more while Audelia pouted her cheeks.

Audelia made a mental note to confront her father as soon as she returned home. She wanted him to stop making exaggerated rumors about her!!

However what Audelia didn't know that her wish would somehow just a wish, because the grand duchy would be brainwashed by their grand duke and would become Audelia's fanatic fans. This would serve as one of the source of headache for Audelia in the future.
