Reese hopes she made the right decision.
The ball started as soon as the elders arrived, Reese was in the midst of her nervousness facing the elders. Will they know what she is? That's the only thing Reese could think about the whole night.

Everyone, the other "royals" or "pure-blooded" vampires who have power around them, whom Kier invited the day before this ball, were all having fun. She could hear their laughters, even the way they chat. It intrigues her seeing how a ball works. The only girl who wore a two toned dark dress was Reese, inside the big room, Reese stood out and she kept getting compliments that she looked like her mother. Without any single idea how her mother "really" looked like, all Reese could do was to thank them and thank them.
Reese was holding a drink they prepared for the guest, a drink that was mixed with not that much blood, obviously it was a drink prepared for the vampires and of course for her to enjoy too. They could have prepared red wine, but they have to mix the alcoholic beverage with blood. The other reason why they mixed blood to the drink was to confuse the scent of blood to hers, the scent of her blood differs from a pure-blooded one because she's not a pure one.
"Lady Rebecca," Someone from their guest called Reese and Reese immediately paid attention to the person who came to greet her. "It was nice of you to invite us. It's been so long since a party was hosted in this mansion."
Hindi man siya sanay na tawagin sa totoo niyang pangalan, kailangan niyang pilitin ang sarili sa kahit ano mang pagkakaton.
"I'm glad to hear that." Reese answered with a smile. "Thank you for making time."
As soon as the guest left Reese, Kier came to her with a drink in his hand. "Still getting a hold of everything?" Kier asked in a teasing manner.
Reese took a sip from her drink and answered Kier, "I think I've heard enough from them that I resemble my mother so much that they can't find the difference between us." Mahinang saad ni Reese at binigay ang wine glass niya sa tila waiter ng party at nilingon si Kier.
Kier acted as if he examined Reese's face. "Yea." He started, "You resemble her too much and it's scary." Dagdag nito.
Reese sighed and looked at the guests who were dancing in the middle, "Well I guess half of the guests inside the place might have thought I'm my mother." Saad ni Reese at binalik ang tingin kay Kier.
"Well, I think I can agree with that idea." Saad ni Kier. "I won't deny a single thing the guests tells you, you do look-a-lot like Lady Rachel that stopped aging at the age of 24." Dagdag na saad ni Kier.
"I really did stop aging at the age 24. Still, I'm older than you." Wika ni Reese.
Kier chuckled and he gave his empty wine glass to the waiter who passed by and faced Reese with this funny expression.
"I did say that you're three years older than me, but it's a lie." Saad ni Kier at ngumisi.
Nagtatakang tinignan ni Reese si Kier at pinagkrus niya ang braso niya bago tanungin ang binata sa ibig sabihin nito. "What do you mean you lied?" Reese asked.
"I stopped aging a century ago. To be specific at the age of 28. I'm thirty-five years younger than Lord Elenore, your father." Paliwanag ni Kier kay Reese.
Dahil nabigla siya sa sinabi ng binata, hindi niya alam ang i-rereact niya sa sinabi nito. She finally got to hear Kier's true age and it terrified her learning that he's a century older or whatnot.
Reese chuckled, "You actually lied to me, you geezer." Mahinang saad ni Reese at kumuha muli ng panibagong baso ng inumin.
"Well, you're engaged with this person you called geezer, Rebecca." Simpleng saad ni Kier na dahan-dahan na ikinawala ng ngiti ni Reese.
So, she's really engaged to Kier, hih? For the sake of an heir and her life. She's starting this same issue she did back then.
"Lady Rebecca." Butler Sue suddenly called her attention.
"Yes, Butler Sue?" Reese answered.
"The elders want to meet you and Lord Kier."
