With Naraku leading us we were able to hit a few of the most grueling areas with ease. The first horde of creatures we fought were these eight petaled plant-like ones. They had mouths with teeth more like daggers. Hiding behind some bushes and trees we watched them hunt. Grabbing small creatures with either their tongue or their vines. Grabbing each and biting the heads off seemed to be a type of ritual for themselves. Once done they would pour the blood and whatever contents into their mouths. Tossing the empty carcasses into a pile behind them, we assumed this must be some kind of den. Moving out of the way of the Vonieminus, Naraku had mentioned the creature's name, our eyes set upon four more. One seemed to be sleeping in the back, much larger than the others, according to Naraku it was a Houtemira. One of the more destructive versions of the plant. With more petals what seemed to be twelve instead of the eight, a dark hue, and thorns on its vines. Being of the same botanical family they weren't very different in the way they hunted. Naraku brought up that the Houtemira are typically the leaders, though he hasn't seen a group this big in a long time.
"Do you think we can take this many of them?"
[Twilight]
"Well we can take each one but what do we do about the Houtemira?"
[Obitiga]
"If we can lead it away from the others we might be able to make quick work of the rest?"
[Naraku]
"What if we attack it first?"
[Crystal]
"I could try my Gale shot?"
[Obitiga]
"I could also add a little something to it, I have this skill that is like a spear, if your Gale can help guide it."
[Naraku]
"That could work, when you two that Crystal and I can force our we in, and go for the Houtemira."
[Twilight]
"That works."
[Naraku]
The team begins to move in place heading into close proximity. Sending off his Gale while in sync with Naraku Comet Arrow. The gust of wind that was now hosting a dark red crystal arrow,it turned out Naraku was of a mixed element. Both Fire and Ice his Comet was made of a crystalized version of the two. Piercing and carrying the Voniemnius out of sight. With Houtemira being the only thing left, Twilight and Crystal charge in.
Firing off several boulders, Crystal begins to assemble one last one. With Twilight already activating his Dark Spids, and having them rush in it seemed like an easy take down. Until the Houtemira let out a howl loud enough to stun the party. Stopping in their tracks they begin to feel a cold air rush over them.
"Wa..Waa.Waahats this feeling."
[Crystal]
"It must be the Houtemira Tranquilizer Scream."
[Naraku]
"Tran..Tra..Tranquilizer Scream?"
[Twilight]
"Yeah, they have a screech powerful enough to their prey's mobility for a few seconds. It's typically long enough for them to make the kill."
[Naraku]
"Why didn't you mention that before?!"
[Obitiga]
"I kind of forgot, you don't commonly see them around so it usually isn't a threat."
[Naraku]
"How do we get out of it?!"
[Twilight]
"Not sure..most prey try and wait it out."
[Naraku]
"Maybe one of my spells will work."
[Crystal]
Activating a cleansing spell Crystal released the team and herself. As they were finally able to move, a thorned vine slammed into the ground, breaking the earth's surface and scattering the team onto opposite sides. With only a few scars from the collision Obitiga begins firing off his arrows, unleashing just enough arrows to slice through the vine of the Houtemira. With a scream of pain Twilight begins to ascend up the other arm vine of the Houtemira. Reaching his petals and slicing one off before he could be swiped at. Landing on his feet he turns to see both Naraku and Crystal. The two seemed to have an attack prepared to be fired.
"Ready."
[Crystal, Charging a Lightning Arrow]
"Fire."
[Naraku, Charging a Flaming Ice Arrow]
Firing off the two arrows they begin making their way towards the eyes of the Houtemira. Using it as cover Twilight begins to reascend up the vines of the Houtemira. With the arrows landing their blow, he begins to make his way above its head. Striking down over and over, until a green substance began to ooze out. Now blinded, the Houtemira begins to flail around making a louder commotion. Unbeknownst to the team the other Voniemnius had escaped the arrow, pulling themselves straight through. Seeing them emerge from the forest Obitiga begins to send out arrows to keep them at bay.
Twilight, still on the top of the Houtemira, begins to activate his Sadoria. As Darkness begins seeping out into the Houtemira, Twilight begins to further drive his dagger into its skull. As he begins descending through its head. Appearing at the other end he is covered with green substance. Turning around to see the other Voniemnius the group gathers around him.
"What do you think, can we still take them after that?"
[Naraku]
"I still have plenty of essence left, I can heal us and we should have no problem."
[Crystal, getting her spell ready]
"We each take one correct?"
[Twilight, with aggression]
"Yeah? We do."
[Obitiga]
"Then let's hurry this up."
[Twilight, as he begins to rush in]
With the other following behind, they begin their fight on the Voniemnius. Unleashing a series of spells and attacks.
"Use me!"
[Strange Voice]
"Use ME!"
[Strange Voice]
"USE ME!!"
[Strange Voice]
With a small twitch Twilights right side begins to change. Transforming, his right eye turns black. Blacking out he begins to spiral within himself. With a flash of light he returns to his senses to see a defeated Voniemnius at his feet.
"It's getting too hard to control that voice. I need to find someone who can help. Maybe it's time I really tell the others about it."
