S.Y. 641 Agi 14 5:45 L.Q. - Middle of The Gahralow Tree
"Hey, wake young man, can you hear me? Wake up?"
[Stranger's Voice]
"Did I really hurt him that bad?"
[Temti, worried]
"Well from what I could see, with an attack like that he's actually lucky to be alive right now."
[Stranger's Voice]
"Ugh...what happened? Where am I and who are you?"
[Twilight, coming to]
"I'm so glad you're okay!"
[Temti]
"You're a fine young man, you're unfortunately still in The Gahralow Tree and now locked up with me. My name is Sirisa, I know your younger pal here, Temti. May I ask what is your name?"
[Stranger's Voice]
"It's...It's Twilight..and let me just make sure, you said your name is Sirisa correct? One of the princesses of Manshu."
[Twilight, coming to his senses]
"Actually, yes it is. Where did you hear this information from? Are you by chance a new recruit to Liam's Shadow Squad?"
[Sirisa, helping Twilight to his feet]
"No, but I do know of him, if he hasn't already he should have helped carve a way for us to leave. I was sent by your mother, as well as your younger brother, Gixoh, to rescue you."
[Twilight, as Temti heals him once again]
"My mother? She is okay then, that's good, as well as my brother and my sister both making it out safely. What..what about my father and Lepricus."
[Sirisa]
"Unfortunately your father didn't make it, and we've yet to hear anything about Lepricus, but Liam has sent out scouts in search of information."
[Twilight]
"So my father really did sacrifice himself, I could see what he had planned during our escape. Though I couldn't muster up the courage to help or warn my siblings. My mother must be devastated."
[Sirisa]
"She is, but I'm sure it will warm her heart to see you."
[Temti]
"Though with the door locked, I believe that will cause an issue."
[Sirisa]
"That should be no problem, just give me a second and I'll have us all out of here."
[Twilight, activating Freeze and Shadow Step]
With the use of Freeze and Shadow Step I was able to take my time slipping through the shadows of the cell. The guards who had brought us in weren't too far away from the cell either, so retrieving the keys was a piece of cake. I made it back just in time, right before both skills wore off. I could see the surprise in Sirisa's eyes, and the laughter in Temti's as I unlocked the cell.
"How did you?"
[Sirisa, confused as to how Twilight made it out the cell]
"Pretty neat trick right."
[Temti, in a bragging tone]
"We should hurry, the two guards who locked us in here are just ahead; we'll need to get past them first."
[Twilight]
"You two shouldn't worry about them, let me handle them. My skills have been getting a little rusty just sitting in this cell anyway."
[Sirisa]
Neither Temti or I saw it coming, what we had thought was a cape being worn by Sirisa turned out to be wings. Changing from a plain white to this beautiful green, she then took flight. Landing herself in between both guards. She let out this wave of light, striking both guards, it seemed to leave them in some type of daze. She turned around, giving us a smirk, knowing just how smooth her movements were. Drawing this magic circle around her she began to build up this charge. Creating multiple balls of light, she released them, one at a time they hit their mark. The wails of the guards told us just how much pain they experienced. By the time the last ball of light landed both guards were well past their limits.
"Wow! Those moves, what class are you?"
[Temti, in amazement]
"Yeah, I've never seen an attack like that."
[Twilight, shocked]
"I was hoping you would say that. Especially you little one. I'm actually in an advanced class I believe would fit you. That class being Arch Mage of Light. After seeing you heal Twilight I'm more than sure it fits you."
[Siris, patting Temti's head]
"Will I be able to learn that skill you just did?"
[Temti, full of joy]
"Not exactly the same as it takes on different variations depending on the user, but yes."
[Sirisa]
[Alarms go off]
"I'm guessing that's our signal to start heading out, either Liams in trouble or they're done with any obstacles that stand in the way."
[Twilight]
S.Y. 641 Agi 14 8:23 L.Q. - Near The Base of The Gahralow Tree
We finally made it back down to the base of the Tree. With the amount of time it took, I would rather have climbed from outside and fought the Mei again. When we finally made it to the staircase entrance, there was Gixoh and Liam amongst the remains of Cult Members and a few other creatures. You could tell that the battle wasn't a simple one.
"So this is what took you two so long huh?"
[Twilight, with a smirk on his face]
"Well I could say the same about you two, can't I."
[Liam, trying his best not to seem exhausted]
"Sirisa, I'm so glad to see you're okay. They didn't hurt you did they?"
[Gixoh, rushing to Sirisa's side]
"No, I'm fine little brother and I'm glad to see you too. You've seen Mom and Airana correct, how are they dealing with the news about dad."
[Sirisa, welcoming his hug]
"They're holding up, you know mom, always the warrior, plus they've got a lot to handle with the survivors."
[Gixoh]
"We should get going before reinforcements come, the alarm should have alerted anyone in the other towers or the main castle."
[Liam]
Journeying back we didn't have much to worry about other than creatures. Though Liam was correct about the Cult members we did our best to avoid them. With Lepricus still captive no one wanted to take the risk. When we finally made it back, Sirisa was welcomed by everyone. Liams scouts arrived a few days after, notifying us of his whereabouts within the tower and his well being. Apparently he was heavily guarded. We began to organize our plan.
"Do you think this will actually work?"
[Gixoh]
"We won't know until we try."
[Liam]
"Yeah, honestly I'm not even sure about this, do we have enough people."
[Twilight]
"We have to make due with who we've got. We honestly can't spare anymore."
[Liam]
"What about me, I'm sure I should be able to help a bit."
[Sirisa]
"Yeah we saw her skills in the tree!"
[Temti]
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'd come in handy."
[Sirisa]
"I agree, you'd be more useful on the battlefield than here."
[Airana]
"Okay with that I'm a little more curtain we can pull this off."
[Liam]
We didn't leave right away, taking a few days to train and rest up. I had Sirisa teach Temti a few basic mage skills so he could survive better on the field. When the day arrived we armed up, said our goodbyes, and headed out.
