Chapter 16 - The Battle of Behuio

S.Y. 641 Agi 19 4:00 S.Q. - On the way to Eathonia

"So how long is this journey exactly?"

[Twilight]

"Well we're about halfway there now."

[Liam]

"Is this one a tower as well?"

[Temti]

"Yeah, it's more like a mountain though. It's called Behuio. It's named after an explorer from back when my father was born."

[Gixoh]

"Yeah, father used to tell us all the time about him. He was like his brother."

[Sirisa]

"It's not even just one mountain though it's a group of them, home to tons of creatures."

[Liam]

"Please don't tell me we've got to handle anything like Meli again."

[Twilight]

"Nah, nothing like that, but there is a monster race of Goruda."

[Liam]

"Goruda?"

[Temti]

"Yeah they're these green creatures not too different from us. They vary in size, and they have what we call a class system as well. They're tricky and cunning, so it's best to be wary."

[Sirisa]

"When you say class system, what do you mean exactly?"

[Twilight, out of curiosity]

"The basic four is what we use to distinguish them. Thief, Warrior, Archer, and Mage. It's fairly easy to tell the difference between the classes as they have a different attire and color. Though you do have to be careful, they evolve just like a few other monsters and we've yet to clarify just how powerful they become."

[Sirisa]

"Yeah my brother and I used to spar with them alot. Usually when he wasn't busy training on his own. Even he had a tendency to avoid the evolved Goruda, I think they are Orua."

[Gixoh]

"We shouldn't run into the Orua too much though, they live deeper within the mountains."

[Liam]

As the journey continued we chatted more about Behuio. We ran into a few creatures here and there. At some point we entered Eathonia and the landscape changed to a dessert. At first we were surrounded by small mountains and hills, sand dunes, and other small landscapes. We did run into a few Goruda, and I have to admit for a small little green creature they were a lot to handle. As we went deeper into Eathonia the mountains began to surround us. The middle opened up a lot more than before. Oddly enough you could see smoke rising from the top of the middle most pet of the mountains.

"Whoa! What do you think is going on up there?"

[Temti]

"Knowing him it's probably Lepricus making noise."

[Gixoh]

"Yeah, that's most likely the case. He was never one to just let himself be captured."

[Sirisa]

"I guess we should make it easier for him and begin the attack from down here."

[Liam]

"There's two entrances to the top, one is to the far left side and the other is straight ahead."

[Gixoh]

"Either way we have to make our way through all these Cult members."

[Twilight]

"Yeah, once we do well, split off. I think if Temti and you should take the straight away. The rest of us will make our way to the side."

[Liam]

With that being said off we went. This time we were facing a ton more Cult members than before. I could tell that a majority were of the same rank as those we've already faced; this time there were a few of a different rank. I was told they were Ziora much like the Hawk in the Guardian Knights sense. Making our charge in we were led by Liam and his squad. Each of them were of a different class it seemed. Some were warriors, while others were archers. Since Temti and I were in the back all we could see were swords swinging and arrows flying. Liam himself was leaping from enemy to enemy tossing stars, it was clear to see he had been training in secret. From there Gixoh, activating the same skill from when we were training, not just on the one but on both. With his swords now fully engulfed he began rushing through the mass of Cult members, mowing them down left and right. I wasn't sure what other skills he was using but you could tell that he was using some other skills. Just watching them both got me excited for our next sparring session. Sirisa then began to approach as well, once again letting her wings spread. This time instead of the skill she used before she seemed to let out this beam of light. Targeting each and everyone of the members that approached her.

At this point I wasn't sure just how me and Temti would be able to help. Looking at how uneven that battlefield was, it didn't seem fair if we did. Although I was still eager to get out there and put my training to practice as well as to have Temti practice the moves Sirisa taught him. We went ahead and joined the battle, staying back I let Temti handle most of the approaching members. From the look of Sirisa taught him well, it wasn't an exact copy and it wasn't the same amount she used but it was powerful. Sending out a few balls of light he was able to fight head to head against the members who approached without needing much help from me. This allowed me to take my time focusing on the one coming after me. I was able to practice using my skills in a more consecutive and percisie way. It didn't take us long but we eventually made it to the front entrance. From there we split off, Temti and I went off to the far left, while the others went through the front.

It was like a cave it spun through and seemed to be a hill of some sort. I think Temti and I got the better end of the stick, since we didn't run into many creatures or members. The few we did run into weren't much of a threat. Though we did almost run into an Orua, we avoided it, taking the advice of the others. I was more than sure neither of us could handle it on our own. The further we climbed the more members we began to run into. Eventually I could see the smoke that we saw outside filling the caves. As we approached the entrance all you could hear was yelling.

"Out of the way, I don't want to have to hurt a couple of kids."

[Rampaging Escapie]

"What makes you think you can hurt us?"

[Temti, preparing to attack]

"Calm down Temti. Sir are you by chance named Lepricus?"

[Twilight]

"Yes, that is me and who are you?"

[Lepricus]

"Twilight, your mother sent me here to free you."

[Twilight]

"Well as you can see I already have it handled."

[Lepricus]

"Yeah, mind if we help you out a bit though?"

[Twilight]

"Do as you wish."

[Lepricus]

As we began fighting with Lepricus, I realized he had much similar fighting style to that of Gixoh and Liam. Though he did seem to be a different element compared to both of them. While Gixoh wielded two swords, Lepricus used axes instead. They were these two crescent shaped axes with a shine to them. I was unsure, but it looked like they were dripping with a brown or golden tint. Something similar to the skill Gixoh used and taught me. He also had this flowing and smooth movement to his battle style. It reminded me a lot of Liam, how he would leap from area to area, it was like he was dancing across the battlefield.
