"Hmmm, it looks like we can do some sightseeing."

[Twilight]

"Where at?"

[Temti]

"The Crescent Mountains, it's on our path to Mine City, so it's on the way."

[Twilight]

It didn't take long to make it to the Crescent Mountains. They were located on the outskirts of the village, and luckily for me some of the villagers knew an easier path to reach the top. I was worried for a while, thinking that we'd run into some unusual creatures, but it was pretty peaceful. We had a few choice encounters, but it was a great opportunity for me to start training Temti. Eventually we found a clearing, compared to what we'd already explored, it was quite.

"Look at this view, it's amazing"

[Twilight, nonchalantly]

"Ye..Yeah, I guess it was all worth it."

[Temti, a little exhausted]

"I hope I didn't push you too hard, but after the battle with the Cult I realized it might be time for you to learn a thing or two."

[Twilight]

"Yeah. I felt bad just sitting back, the Cult Members I fought weren't much of a challenge."

[Temti]

"Yeah you did great defeating them, and it's okay. I would have been worried about you."

[Twilight]

"Hopefully all this training will get me ready by the next encounter."

[Temti]

"I'm sure it will, plus we should be able to figure out the best class for you, from there we can really start honing your skills."

[Twilight]

As Temti and I continued to chat a bit the sun began to set. He began to frantically search through his pack, to my surprise he pulled out a Camda. Which I was surprised to see, I was wondering what he had purchased with his share of the gemstones. He took a few pictures here and there of the view, as well as of us. It was pretty shocking how good they were, and glad we'd have something to remember this with. I was happy we started exploring all the different landmarks since we were leaving the island for the first time. We kept making our way to the top of the mountains as the sun began to fully set.

"Hey, what's that?"

[Temti, noticing a shimmer near the peak]

"I'm not sure, let's go check it out."

[Twilight, rushing ahead]

As I began to approach the peak I realized the shimmer was a treasure box. Hoping it would be something good I kept making my way towards it.

"Watch out!"

[Temti, in a panic]

I hadn't noticed at first but Temti's scream altered me. There was a Chire fast approaching. I'd never seen one in person but I remember mom telling me about them. They were the next cycle above Chi, and it's not often that you get to see them. She told me it was because not many creatures actually have the ability to evolve but when they do it's a huge boost on their stats, few even change in appearance as well as element class. Chi aren't hostile creatures so they're easy to tame and defeat. Farmers usually keep them around for various reasons. However Chire are much larger creatures, about the size of a small home and territorial when it comes to their environments. They can take flight, and are said to be much faster. Their beaks and claws are about as sharp as a normal dagger or sword. I didn't have much time to react, already a bit exhausted by the climb. I had no choice but to get injured a bit. I didn't realize how agile they were until one of them came to a full stop, turned around and rushed back towards me. This time I had more time to think and was able to activate haste. I was able to lounge myself and my dagger into the chest of the Chire, taking it down. I was unaware at the time but the other creatures had started going after Temti. I knew with the bit of training we were doing he'd be able to maybe survive fighting one but not a group. He realized this himself, activating Haste as well he began to flee towards my direction.

"Get behind me and be ready to attack!"

[Twilight, screaming]

One by one the Chire rushed at us, and came to a full stop, surrounding us.

"What do we do?"

[Temti, hiding behind Twilight]

"We have no choice but to fight."

[Twilight]

I had only shown him a few basic attack moves but I was surprised how well we were able to fend off the amount of Chires.

"I'm so glad that's over."

[Temti, sitting down in exhaustion]

"Yeah, we actually came out okay."

[Twilight, removing his dagger from a defeated Chire]

[Temti and Twilight make there way to the peak of the mountain]

"I hope this was worth it, whatever it is."

[Twilight, opening the treasure box]

"Hmmm, it looks like there's a quest to explore that old tree near the middle of the island. I think it was called the Tree of Understanding."

[Twilight]

"The one we saw on the way to Mine City?"

[Temti]

"Yeah that one, I think it should be fun, more sightseeing before we leave."

[Twilight]

So we headed out, the journey didn't take too long. The tree was much larger than we thought, but it wasn't really surprising since it could be seen from just about every corner of the island. We entered from the base of the island, it was like a maze on the inside. I wasn't sure if it was man-made or that was just how it looked on the inside. The walls were made out of bark and vines. You could see small carvings and stone tablets. Some with pictures, others with information, neither Temti or I could understand them. We wandered around the entrance area for a while, it wasn't that surprising but we did run into a few monsters.

"Hey, what's that over there?"

[Temti, pointing towards a light source]

"I'm not sure, we can check it out, but be alert just in case."

[Twilight]

As we approached the light source, I could tell it wasn't from inside. It was definitely an entrance to someplace. We entered and it was like we're in a whole other place. It was a little dark, but you could see this light on the other end. It was enough to show a bit of the area around us. This time the walls were much thicker, they had mold on them, the floors were tiled. It definitely was more man-made than the previous area.

[Sound of crawling on the walls]

"What was that?"

[Temti, a little startled]

"Uhmmm...I'm not sure...let's keep going."

[Twilight]

[Sound of crawling on the walls continues]

"Okay, I'm not sure if we should continue."

[Twilight, now a bit worried]

[Sound of crawling intensifying]

"I..I agree."

[Temti, as the both turn back]

Suddenly as we made our way back to the entrance, a group of Spids landed in front of us. Spids are these almost 4ft to 6ft large creatures, with eight legs, and multiple beady eyes. I hate running into them, not just for the fact that they usually hunt in groups of at least 3. Which made us pretty unlucky because we were facing a group of 6 of them. Handling a group of 3 on your own is already hard enough because they produce this thread that was made out of Blood. It is said to be as strong as Bronze Mineral extract.

Since we were surrounded, and the entrance being cut off we realized we had no choice but to fight. The Spids began their approach, it was dark so I was being extra cautious. One finally decided to attack, I drew my dagger, it was trying to sink its teeth into me. It's fangs clamping down on the dagger, it's grip was harder than I thought. The others began to approach, worried about Temti I decided to use the Spid to my advantage. Rushing myself into the pack with it I was able to cut off two more. It's grip on my dagger loosened and I was able to drag it out. Slicing its mouth open, after which, full force I lunged my dagger into its skull. At the same time, the other two Spids ascended back into the darkness.

"Are you okay?"

[Twilight turning back to check on Temti]

[Silence]

"Temti?!"

[Twilight, beginning to worry]

"It's dark so hopefully he just ran off, but he'd be dealing with the other three on his own. I need to find him soon before he gets hurt."

[Twilight, thinking as he begins to frantically search]

[Rustling from above]

"What was that?"

[Twilight, thinking]

[Rustling continues]

[Twilight slow looking up]

"Mhmhmm."

[Temti, wrapped in Spids thread]

Surprisingly Temti was glued to the ceiling of the room we were in. I had heard that Spids wrap their prey up within their thread but I never knew it stuck to things. How was I supposed to get him down, where did the other Spids go as well? I began searching for a way to reach him, I knew I couldn't just throw my dagger and hope for the best. Finally, I saw a vine that seemed to reach him so I began my climb.

"Mhmhmm."

[Temti, frantically]

"Don't worry I'm on my way!"

[Twilight, screaming]

"Mhmhmm."

[Temti, frantically]

[Crawling from all around]

Recognizing the sounds, I knew I didn't have much time. I seemed to be close enough so I leaped to where Temti was stuck, I began to see through the thread.

[Crawling approaching]

At the moment I sliced through the last piece of thread my eyes met the eyes of a Spid. As we fell it began to descend with us, I threw my dagger with full force. It didn't hit its mark but it did hit the body of it.

[Thud. The Spid hit the ground]

As we hit the ground I could see it was still alive, I jabbed my dagger further into it. Forcing it to let out a screech. Looking up, all I saw were the eyes of the remaining Spids retreating. Removing my dagger from the Spid, bloodied I wiped it off and went to check on Temti.

"Are you hurt?"

[Twilight, looking over Temti]

"No, but I never want to do anything like this again."

[Temti, wiping the last few threads]

We proceeded until we saw something shimmer against this new last source. Temti rushed to the source, informing me that it was an exit. As I went to the shimmer. It turned out to be a treasure box, opening and hoping what we had just gone through would be worth it. I came out to find myself disappointed since all that was left inside was a piece of paper with a few symbols I didn't understand. Still, I wrapped it up and put it away.

When we exited we were still within the tree. The area we were in now had less creatures to worry about. It was brighter up here and there was this cool breeze. As we explored I saw a few bird-like creatures I hadn't seen before, Temti took quite a few pictures of not just them but of the view as well. By the time we made it further up we began to see a path outside. Making our way out, the view was amazing. We made it out just in time to see the sunrises.
