Adriana frowned.
She was stuck and it was annoying, frustrating, and scary.
She took a deep breath and looked at the white piece on the other end of the board and her lips twitched. She lifted it up and played around with it. She kept reading the name 'Briana' on it.
"Did you get more information on your hat?" Adriana asked Caroline to distract herself.
"I did. She's quite the snake. Hah, my husband is cheating on me with her and she's cheating on him with his cousin. Isn't it quite hilarious?" Caroline shook her head in disbelief.
She was now alone in the penthouse with Adriana. After Adriana finished instructing everyone she dismissed them but asked her to stay.
Caroline saw her half-sister sigh and put the white piece back on the board. She stood up and went back to the terrace. She followed behind her and they shared a peaceful silence.
"I miss my son *sigh."
"I miss my nephew too. It would be nice if we could bring him. Separating the twins like this is cruel. Aria was talking about how she would tell her brother all about her adventure in New York to make him jealous and force him to come here too." Caroline exposed Aria's scheme.
"Haha, I should have known. She had been too quiet recently. Usually, she does whatever she can to stick by her brother's side. I guess it's because she has barely only spent 2 years with him." Adriana smiled bitterly.
"I can't wait for this to be over. I want the twins to have the freedom they always secretly wish for. Tsk, I guess we can't possibly remove evil from people's hearts." Caroline sighed feeling her sister's pain.
"Hmm, that's why you attack them mercilessly. Evil scums should not be shown mercy." Adriana told her.
"You are right, and here I was thinking I should just divorce and live my life. I realized if I don't avenge myself he will continue to manipulate me and walk all over me." Caroline agreed, pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear as the fresh air blew against her face.
"Those who hesitate are always walked over Caroline. I learned that the hard way. Honestly, I don't miss my past self. The bitter truth is that I was foolish and blind. You have no idea how much I detest the Adriana of the past. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't hesitate or else he will use your hesitation against you. After all, he is the best lier and manipulator I have met in my entire life." Adriana looked back at her with a smile.
"Don't let that bastard get to you or else I will take matters into my own hands and it won't end well, little sister," Adriana warned her.
"I know, I know." Caroline turned to hug her. "Thank you."
Adriana hugged her back and nodded her head.
Afterward, Caroline left and Adriana was now alone.
She closed the terrace and picked up her phone. The meeting took around 2 hours and it was now 5:45 pm. She decided to go home and continue with the plans she had made with Aria.
She came out and she saw Ralf waiting for her outside.
"Do you have anything to report?" She asked as they both headed inside the elevator.
"No, I just have a question. Will you send me back to Paris?" He asked. Since she now had Caroline and Angel here he was afraid she would send him back home.
"Maybe, I do have your younger brother here," Adriana responded.
"But my younger brother serves Miss Caroline...."
"That's right...I'm not sure yet I will give you an answer soon. Honestly, I'll feel more comfortable if you are in Paris with Aria and James while I handle things here." She sighed.
******
Adriana opened her eyes and as soon as she did she covered her face. The sun was too bright and it took her a moment to adjust to it. She held the dark blue blanket and covered her body.
She looked next to her and she smiled.
The half-naked man with his elbow supporting his head smiled back.
"Morning."
"Morning love. Sleep a bit more, I'll go make breakfast." He kissed her forehead and stood up. It looked like he had been awake for way longer than her so she shrugged it off and closed her eyes again.
She was still quite tired so she turned to the other side and covered herself with the blankets. Once she had closed her eyes, images of last night flashed before her eyes and her ears turned bright red.
She shooed those images away and she shut her eyes tightly in order to rest.
She didn't know how long she slept after that but she could no longer continue to sleep because of the noise. She furrowed her eyebrows and abruptly opened her eyes.
She stood up and covered her naked chest with the blanket once again. She then tried to stand up but her legs gave up.
"Agh…"
She wrapped the whole blanket over her naked body and she slowly walked towards the noise.
"Love?" Noah frowned when he saw her like that. He turned off the stove and hurriedly ran to her side. "Sorry did I wake you up?" He asked tenderly.
Adriana didn't answer and looked at the scene he was trying to hide with his body. "Pfft, you can't even cook pancakes now? Poor you." She teased.
"To be fair I'm still a better cook than you."
Adriana shook her head and sat in the high chair. "Continue. I want to watch and learn from the chef." She gave him a bright smile. She looked at his bare chest and she licked her lips.
"Alright, I'll make you the most memorable breakfast of all time. Plus I already burned a few so I'm confident I will do it." He told her confidently.
"Okay, 60th time's the charm." She winked teasing him again.
Surprisingly though, he was slow, careful and the pancakes came out perfectly. The aroma was delicious and it made her even more hungry than she already was.
"Wow, you weren't kidding."
"Of course not. Aren't I the best husband?" He lifted his chin arrogantly. "Alright, you win...but that doesn't mean the taste will be good." She grinned and poured syrup over them. She then cut a piece and placed it in her mouth.
"Hmmm." Her eyes rounded in surprise.
"What did I say huh?" He crossed his arms with a spatula in his hands. Adriana started chewing and she pointed behind him.
Noah turned around and he panicked. He turned off the stove once again and he threw away the burned pancake.
"Pffft." Adriana burst out laughing when she saw his sulky face.
She stood up but he walked towards her because he knew she was tired. "It's not bad. More practice and you'll get it right." She encouraged him while she caressed his cheek.
"Mhmm." He held her hand and he wrapped his arm around her waist. He leaned in and he captured her lips slowly and gently.
With her free hand, she hugged his waist and brought him closer. "Our honeymoon ends tomorrow." She pouted.
"We didn't even get to explore the place." She glared at him accusingly. "You can't put the blame completely on me. You keep tempting me…" He whispered in a husky voice.
"Oh…." Her lips curled upwards and she brought him closer, pushing herself against the counter.
"We should eat first and then we can con-" She shut him up with a kiss and he let go of his self-control.
He brought his hand inside the blanket and he pulled it off her body, he then grabbed her thigh and picked her up. He placed her on the counter and he pushed her down.
He cupped one of her mounds and sucked on it, a bite followed after.
"Noah...ah…wait."
He smirked against her right nipple, knowing it was her sensitive spot.

"Cough* cough*"
Adriana placed her hand on her chest and she coughed uncontrollably. Her whole face turned bright red. She covered her face with her palms and she leaned against the hotel door, smelling the delicious aroma from inside.
"Why did he have to cook pancakes at this time and why did I-"
'I'm I sexually frustrated or something?' She wondered. "Well, it has been seven years since-" She froze when she heard someone unlocking the door.
'I'm doomed.' She thought knowing her face was still red and she felt a hot liquid dripping down her nose.
