"I have a niece?" After hearing the story Kimberly misunderstood Noah's words.
Noah sighed knowing he should have not referred to Aria just as Adriana's daughter and because of this his sister misunderstood.
"Does that mean she was pregnant before she left." She sat up, her eyes widened in shock.
Noah closed his mouth when he heard that. Someone how he wished that were the case. That way he would have a way to attach her to him and get closer to her. He knew thinking like that would be wrong but it's hard to suppress it sometimes.
He shook his head to shake his thoughts away and give Kimberly the real answer to her conclusions. "She was adopted by her." He corrected her.
"Oh…" Kimberly frowned, disappointingly. "How do you feel about all of this? I'm quite amazed. I knew she would make it big one day. Brother, aren't you proud? Please forget all of what happened in the past for a second. Think about what she has become in seven years." She requested.
"Kim, I know you had a good bond with her and that's fine with me. You can still talk to her and treat her as you used to but please don't ask me things that are hard for me to do. I won't think bout anything related to her form now on except the fact that she is a partner to LABELS. Got it?" He looked at her seriously.
"Noah, I know. There are things I can't meddle with. I just want to tell you that I trust her and that I don't care about the past. It is up to you if you wish to stay there in the past. In my case I have already forgotten. Since you never told me exactly what happened I can't really come to any conclusions." She sighed. "Can't you open up to me a little more?" She nudged his shoulder.
Noah was silent. "Go back home and let me rest already." He diverted the topic. "I have a long day ahead of me so I will sleep early." Noah turned around.
Kimberly kissed his cheek and got out of the bed. "Sleep tight brother. I will keep in contact with Kelvin to make sure that you are healthy. And about Adriana, do you have a way to contact her?" She asked.
Noah sighed and pointed at the business card in the nightstand.
'I already memorized everything on it anyways…'
Kimberly brightened up and she took it, swiftly exiting his room.
'I have a mission and that's fixing whatever misunderstanding or problem these two have.' She thought as she walked down the hallway. She knows her brother still loves her so she would meet with Adriana and see if she still loves him. If she does then she will definitely execute her plan perfectly but if she has really moved on she will let it be.
NOT
She would still clear up things between them for her brother's good. Even if one of them moved on it's best that things get cleared up.
But how? She doesn't even know what happened. All she knows is that 'things didn't work out.' Which is obviously a lie. She felt that she was being too noisy but she was freaking tired of seeing her brother hurt and broken.
She quickly placed the business card in her purse and walked down the stairs. When she saw Briana and Angel talking on the sofa she rolled her eyes. 'Why is she still here?'
"Angel you stay the night here and look after him. You go home and…. where is the other one?" She asked referring to Chris.
"He's outside making sure the security is working well. The cameras have not been working since 5pm." Angel informed her.
"Alright, Listen to what I told you. Report to me if he is not doing well and vice versa." She told him seriously. She wanted to make sure her brother is perfectly healthy and leaving him in Angel's hands was the best choice.
Briana awkwardly smiled. 'Ugh.'
"How is he?" Briana asked.
"He's fine, he had just been overworking himself." Kimberly responded nonchalantly, waiting for her to leave.
Briana sighed in relief. 'So it's not because of the news.' Knowing this she decided to abort her mission. She would talk to Noah about Adriana's appearance later. She stood up and excused herself. When she finally left Kimberly smiled.
"You are not good at hiding your displeasure with her." Angel commented.
"Oh no, I'm not even trying to hide it sweetie." She smiled and walked towards the door. "I want to know more about the thing with the cameras. Maybe I can help with something. Get the kitchen ready. I will make us dinner and then I'll leave." She told him and walked out.
…..
After asking with the security team Kimberly exited the small house where they reside with Chris following behind her.
They walked towards the house in silence. Chris silently observed her back and he pursed his lips. He caught her hand and pulled her towards him.
"What is it?" She asked, snatching it back. "Why didn't you tell me you would leave the country?" He asked.
"Chris last time I checked, I don't have to report my every move to you." She turned her back and continued walking. "Can't you soften up to me a little?" He muttered.
Kimberly halted her steps and she turned around to face him. "We talked about this before I left." She reminded him. "I don't remember, could you repeat what you said? Actually, save it I will eventually forget it again anyways." He shrugged.
She scoffed at that. "Come here." He pulled her by the wrist and walked her to the garden. He pressed his hand on the brick wall and stared down at her. "I missed you." He confessed.
"Stop your madness already." She flicked his forehead and tried to walk away but he pushed her back against the the wall. "Is it because you are older than me? Is that why you keep pushing me away? I might be carefree but I have feelings and I think I have already made them clear." He gave her a pitiful expression, feeling wronged.
Kimberly swallowed. She heard her phone ringing and she took it out from her purse answering it immediately. 'Thank you. Whoever, called you are a lifesaver!'
Chris watched her sit down on the bench facing all the flowers and talking to the person on the other side of the phone. He hit his head on the wall a few times and groaned.
'Feelings. These sh&tty feeelings of mine.'
He disappointingly walked out of the garden and entered the house.
