Tang Ning gritted her teeth and stared at Mo Ye. She would bite him and get back the cosmic bag if she could.
However, she did not dare to do so.
This person is not normal. He even tried to kill her previously!
Tang Ning stared at his hand behind his back and sighed. She would probably no longer be getting back the cosmic bag. She was like the mantis stalking the cicada, yet unaware of the oriole behind her!
All her efforts were in vain.
Concluding that there was no more hope to get back the cosmic bag, Tang Ning didn't stay perplexed for too long. To begin with, the bag was not hers anyway. It would have been great to get it, but it was also no big deal if she couldn't, there was no need to offend this person for it.
Hence, she turned back and asked, "Umm… Benefactor, how long will it take to reach the Inner Cloud City from here?"
Mo Ye was surprised by her temperament. He shot a glance at her, as a wave of darkness flashed across his eyes. When he heard Tang Ning's question, his lips curled up, and he replied. "At your speed, you will need at least a month or two to reach the Inner Cloud City by foot."
The corners of Tang Ning's mouth twitched as she considered Mo Ye's reply. The flying ship in which she was brought to this place, took one day to reach this place, yet she would need to walk for at least a month or two if she wished to return? How far away was the Inner Cloud City?
Tang Ning thought for a while, and then her eyes landed on Mo Ye. She smiled and asked, "Benefactor, I saw you in the Inner Cloud City a few days ago, and now we have met here again, so I guess you have a flying tool. Are you planning to return now? Can you bring me there? I will pay for my traveling fees."
"You think that I need your money?"
Mo Ye's gaze scanned Tang Ning and looked at her with contempt. "Not to mention, do you even have the money?"
Tang Ning felt a breath of air stuck in her chest, and she was feeling tempted to vent it on him!
Why would she have no money? He's really looking down on her, that too while his hand still held onto something that was hers! That cosmic bag was supposed to be hers, but yet it was snatched away by him. Just as she wanted to say something, Mo Ye turned slightly to one side and looked behind her.
"Leave quickly, someone is coming over." Mo Ye's voice was cold, and his deep gaze landed on the little monk.
Listening to his words, Tang Ning appeared as if a thought struck her. She immediately replied, "If so, Benefactor, we shall take our leave first. I hope we will never meet again." After finishing her sentence, Tang Ning immediately ran in the direction Mo Ye pointed to.
Looking at this situation, the young girl, who had been following Tang Ning, glanced at Mo Ye and swiftly ran after the little monk.
Looking at the little monk's figure disappearing from his sight, Mo Ye then looked at the cosmic bag in his hand.
Anyone who could afford to own a cosmic bag would not be an ordinary person. To prevent anyone from killing the owner to rob the cosmic bag, these cosmic bags would usually have a divine soul mark in them, and these marks are not generally noticeable. Even cultivators at the same strength levels would not be able to get rid of the soul mark on the cosmic bag.
Using the divine soul mark, the owners of the cosmic bag could find the person who obtained the bag. Hence, if one couldn't get rid of the divine soul mark, holding onto a cosmic bag would be an act of rushing towards one's death.
Mo Ye glanced at the direction the little monk left, then he jumped up and dashed in the opposite direction. His guards followed after him, and just with a few leaps, they could no longer be seen in the woods.
Shortly after Mo Ye left, a wounded old man appeared at the place. The old man's face immediately darkened as he saw the corpse of the man with the sword lying on the ground.
He went forward to check the corpse, and after confirming that the cosmic bag was gone, he couldn't suppress his obvious murderous intention.
"I have spent so much effort and risked my life to obtain the Red Solar Fruit! Someone else has their eyes on it, unforgivable!" The old man closed his eyes to concentrate better. After a while, he looked in one direction and immediately started his chase in that direction.
And that direction was exactly the one in which Mo Ye had moved…
