"Web check-in? Can I see your boarding cards please?" The counter attendant spoke, this snapping Olivia out of her thoughts about Samar I presume. She scanned through her bag, put her hand in the hidden compartment and handed over the passes.
"Wh-what? How come I don't have mine!?" Vincent freaked out as he went through all of his pockets and backpack to find his pass missing.
"That's because I had it and I already gave it to the attendant. Now stop acting like an idiot." Olivia whispered into his ear so that the attendant couldn't hear anything and make a fool of himself.
"What are you, my wife?!" Vincent asked angrily with his hands on his hips and adjusting his sunglasses that were a part of his celebrity disguise.
"Thanks to you, I AM NOW!" She murmured into his ears and punched his stomach with her elbow. All he could do was to keep his mouth shut and suffer the pain silently with his identity at stake.
"Umm... excuse me, sir? Can you please remove your accessory and look into the camera, please? Since the bomb blast last year we're instructed to do so at the check-in counters as well." The attendant beckoned Vincent and gestured him to step forward. Olivia merely kept quiet and surfed through her phone; pretending that she didn't know anything. Whereas Vincent's hands became sweaty, his fingers were fidgeting with one another and his feet were trembling as they were taking tiny steps forward. I must say, I can compare a baby who takes his first steps better than this.
As he came near the camera, he felt the sensation that there was someone looking at him through that. He is a celebrity and for the most part of his job, he is being recorded. But unlike most superstars, he gets nervous in front of live fans and often throws up in front of them. That's why Vincent prefers his interviews to be on webcam, his recordings private, and he takes drugs before a live performance. However, here he had none of those options. Well for someone who was a huge flirt in high school, this kind of pattern is somewhat unexpected from him.
He removed his sunglasses to reveal the one and only superstar, Vincent Sanchez.
The attendant squealed, "OH MY GOD! IT'S VINCENT SANCHEZ!" The surrounding people at the airport who were previously preoccupied doing their work screamed with glee and began to huddle around him.
Olivia screeched at the top of her voice, "EVERYBODY JUST GIVE US SOME FREAKING SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND HEY BUDDY CAN I GET MY BOARDING PASSES NOW!?" The prompt gathering of the instant fanbase fell silent as the lioness of the heartthrob's presumable wife lost her patience and startled the living hearts of all the people present. The attendant quickly gave them the boarding passes and Olivia merely scooted her way out of the crowd and stomped towards the security check while Vincent was entangled as the people basically groped him into staying back there until each one didn't get a personalized autograph.
They didn't cross each other until Vincent limped his entire way to the designated boarding gate with no hand luggage that he previously equipped.
He stepped toward Olivia who was seated and groaned in pain with the remaining strength he had left within him, "I seriously think I lost my boarding card..."
She looked up from the book she was reading to see his pathetic condition. She unzipped her purse and flung the card on his face without uttering a single word and went back her book. She then mentioned, "By the way, since we are husband and wife now, that moronic attendant gave us seats together. You wanna put up with my shit or exchange my seat with someone else?"
Vincent was astonished to find that Olivia has kept his boarding pass safe the entire time while he was struggling to penetrate out of his fanbase. If he lost that, he wouldn't be able to catch his flight. After considering that particular deed she did for him, he responded, "Changing seats is too much of a pain. I'd rather deal with your hissy fits."
