(Eh? What is...)
There's something cold and wet dripping on my face now. What is this about?
(Oh! Good morning, Mimin. Are you finally awake? It's already been a while past sunrise, by the way. It's unusual of you to miss the sunrise.)
(Tails?)
It seems like I'm the last one to wake up today. In my hand, I'm holding my pink towel which Tails returned to me yesterday.
When I woke up, Tails is already beside me, preparing her magic for something.
(What are you doing, Tails?)
(Making a shelter using my magic. It's starting to rain, you know?)
Right as Tails said so, a wave of coldness attacked my face, while I was still lying down on the ground.
(Ah! It's raining!)
(Yes, yes it is. Stand up, Mimin. I'm about to make a shelter out of my magic.)
I quickly stood up as Tails said, staying beside her. Suddenly, I feel myself rising up slightly, as something lift me up from under my feet. Now I'm standing on a translucent, white floor, which seems to be anchored to the ground. The floor is dry, too.
The rain also stopped falling on me soon after that. I start drying my slightly wet fur, using my heat magic and my towel, as I looked up to see what is covering me from the rain. There's a roof, and it's being supported by four thin pillars of magic, comnecting the roof to the floor of the shelter.
(Oh! There's a roof now? You're amazing, Tails!)
(It's nothing special. Go ahead and rest, Mimin.)
With the heat magic I still have covering myself, I lay down on the cold and dry floor that just appeared as part of the shelter.
Maybe I should put away my pink towel for now. I'm not using it anyway. Into the storage you go, pink towel!
----------
There's many shelters that's already set up by now, and all of them are occupied by the other Silverwolves and White Foxes. Fluffy is sharing a shelter with my parents, I think?
(Tails. It's been a long time since the last rain, isn't it?)
(That's right. It rarely rains in the Forest of Magic. Well, having rain once in a while isn't so bad either.)
But... I'm bored! What am I supposed to do, when I'm confined to this shelter here? I can practice my magic, but I'm already doing that with my heat magic right now.
It's still feels so comfy in this heat magic, even if I'm already using it for almost two months now. It's so good that I can't emphasize it enough!
I have set the same temperature as usual, and it seems like it's enough to block out the coldness of the floor in this shelter, so that's nice.
Anyway. As comfy as it is being in this heat magic, I just woke up so I can't fall asleep again now. Being unable to do anything other than using heat magic starts to get really boring, you know? Is there really nothing that I can do in this heavy rain?
Haah... I guess there is something I can do, and I want to do it.
I want to try out making a shelter by myself, using my magic. I may have an idea as to how it's done. The idea is simple, but doing it may be really difficult for me...
It's better than doing nothing in this rain, though! Let's try it out!
(Mimin? What are you doing?)
I run out into the rain, to a nearby empty spot. This should be enough space to set up a shelter. Hopefully.
Ah! I have to quickly set this up! Imagine the shape of the shelters that everyone is currently using...
Release my magic through my feet, and make a floor in a square shape. Now, make the four pillars from the corners of the square floor. Make the cone shaped roof connected by the four pillars and attach everything together.
Finally, solidify my magic as much as I can! This is the hard part, because I'm controlling a large amount of magic which behaves like air, and turning all of it solid.
The most amount of magic I've ever solidified at once, is when I made pebble sized magic to shoot at Horned Rabbits. The shelter is on a much larger scale compared to that.
However... I think I'm successful! I managed to form the shelter from start to finish in about two seconds. I'm still in control of my magic, though, which means I'm still able to feel the cold and wet rain on the roof.
"It's c-c-cold...!"
I released my magic on reflex, and now I can't feel the rain on the roof anymore.
"A...Achoo!"
I just realized that I'm completely drenched from the two seconds in the rain. My fur lost all of it's fluffiness and became heavy, and my shrine maiden outfit is soaked completely. I'm a mess.
(Mimin!)
Tails came over to my newly made shelter of silver and white colours, and starts using heat magic on me.
(What were you thinking!? Look at you now, you're drenched and you're even shivering non-stop.)
(But I was bored!)
"Achoo!"
(And now you're sneezing. Did you really catch a cold? Just because you're bored and ran out into the heavy rain?)
I can't lift my ears and tail up anymore, the weight of the wet fur is too heavy for me. I continue shivering involuntarily as Tails increased the temperature of her heat magic.
----------
I'm currently resting inside my shelter with Tails beside me, and she's still using her heat magic on me. I'm already mostly dry, though I feel like I'm getting weaker.
(You know, Mimin. You could have just controlled your magic from under the shelter instead of running out. That way you could have made this shelter without getting wet.)
(Ah... I didn't think of that... Tails. How long does this shelter last for? I've already released the magic, so it should disappear by itself eventually, right?)
(Well, that depends on how much of the magic is solid. For your shelter, it should last for a few hours at most.)
"Achoo!"
(...Rest, Mimin. Don't catch anything more serious than a cold, now. Your control and release of your magic is great, by the way.)
(Of course it is! I can use offensive magic, so my control and release has to be good! An example of this is when turning magic into fire. If I release my magic too late, I end up feeling like I'm on fire. If I release my magic too early, then the magic won't even turn into fire.)
"A... Achoo!"
(Yes, yes. Mimin. Now, you need to rest before your condition-)
"Achoo!"
(-becomes worse...)
"Achoo! A... Achoo!"
(...)
I...I don't feel so good, Tails. What was that? Four sneezes consecutively? I'm definitely sick, alright. I'm going to be too sick to even care about being bored now...
"Achoo!"
