Chapter 25 - Dungeon Event

Walking around, I enjoyed the scenery of the dungeon. It was a truly pleasant and peaceful feeling, where one wouldn't even begin to think that they were inside a dungeon.

Of course, the outside world had such scenery as well, but it's nice to explore the dungeon since I'm not in a rush. If I were to speed through the dungeon, I would immediately skip the first twenty floors and start from the twenty-first floor where my exploration would really begin.

As I walked around, I saw many kinds of monsters that were familiar to me in the game. Monsters such as slimes, some small plants, and even horned rabbits could be found.

Since I didn't show any hostility towards them, they didn't try to attack me and neither did I try to hurt them.

After all, most of them were cute looking and killing them wouldn't benefit me in any way, whether monetarily or to get stronger.

Since the world is no longer just a videogame, I'm not exactly sure how to get stronger than from practicing the use of abilities or by increasing your maximum magical capacity. It's not like there is an exp system or anything, but there may as well be one.

I'd never know unless it suddenly appears before me.

Soon enough, I found the stairway to the second floor and continued going around until the fifth floor. So far, it seems like the dungeon is the same as it was in the game.

If that's so, then 'that' item should be on this floor. Want to know what the gimmick is? Well, you'll find out soon enough.

With Raimu on my shoulder, I moved quickly to the location that I had memorized thoroughly. Just a few minutes later, I arrived at the marked location.

Where was it marked? Why in my head of course. I don't need to map out this dungeon either since there are plenty of fully marked ones sold in the market.

There I am standing in front of a large patch of grass. I stood directly in the center of the right spot and proceeded to step in a certain sequence.

Left, right, up, down, left, left, right, left, right, left, right, up, down, down, left, up, left, right, down, down.

After taking those steps in perfectly equal timing, the ground beneath me started trembling slightly. Just in front of me about a meter or two away, a square-shaped hole appeared in the ground.

Looks like I was right, the dungeon is the same as it was in the game. Though, it may be just the early stages so I should still be careful.

From below the hole, a clanking sound could be heard rising from beneath the hole. I stood in front of the hole and awaited it, while Raimu had visible question marks floating above its head.

"Look forward to it buddy."

Clink! Clank!

In front of me, a treasure chest showed up from the hole. I bobbed down and opened it. Inside the chest, was the item I was looking for.

A small silver ring with a blue oval embedded in the center was placed inside a soft purple cushion. I took it out of the chest and looked at it.

The ring I am holding in between my fingers is called, 'Morgan's Lesser Ring'.

A ring that would be A-ranked in terms of item rarity. It grants the user, a five percent increase in maximum magical capacity and boosts all magic by five percent. To think such an item could be found in a beginner level is quite a miracle.

Now in the game, such an item is found by the protagonist, the way to gain the ring is found later on in the story which means he would need to enter this beginner level dungeon once again in order to get the item.

Now you may think a five percent increase isn't that much, well you're both correct and incorrect at the same time. It really depends on the person using the ring.

How? Imagine if a person with a low amount of magic power, yes a five percent increase in magic would still be a low amount of magic. Let's just say their magic was about five if we use numeric value.

Now if a person such as one of the heroines with a value of let's say one thousand used it, that would be an increase of fifty points! That's ten times the amount of that person with a value of five in magic power!

Now imagine if I were the one who used it, my magic would increase by a lot! Since it's almost impossible for me to deplete my magic no matter how much I try, such an item that increases maximum capacity is an incredibly good item. Just imagine if I find the other items and stack them, how much would my magic rise then?

Well, I may have this ring now, but I won't use it myself. Why not after spending all that time explaining things? Well, I don't really need it, the heroines would have a better use for it.

The only problem is who I should give it to, that is the real headache.

Now let me tell you something else that I hadn't done so before. How would increasing your maximum capacity make you stronger? Well, not only can you use your magic for longer, the more you increase it, the stronger your magic becomes.

I don't know why such a rule exists, but in this world it just does. That said, my magic in terms of both quality and quantity is higher than even the Demon Lord himself. Of course, that is only when I can use more than eighty percent of my magic.

Since this ring is called, 'Morgan's Lesser Ring' that of course, implies that there will be a better ring of the same set.

I put the ring away since I couldn't use it so there would be no point in wearing it. Since I had the item I wanted, I directly headed to the tenth floor where the first boss is waiting for me.

Going up the staircase, I arrived in front of two large doors. I opened the doors and stepped through as they closed behind me.

I looked forward to see a huge blue slime with a crown on its head in the middle of the room. As it stared at me, it jumped high into the air and landed in a small room that looked like a throne.

Suddenly, an army of blue slimes much larger and stronger than the ones of the previous floor surrounded me.

Raimu glanced at the slimes and seemed to be communicating with them.

I didn't know what they were saying, but I could see that the slimes stopped surrounding me and started clearing out a path for me to walk through.

The king slime then jumped back down and landed in front of me.

It didn't seem like it wanted to attack me. That's weird, is it because Raimu is here with me? Such a thing didn't happen in the game, it looks like new elements have started appearing in the story.

Could it be because I am an irregularly?

The king slime opened a small gap inside its body as a crown came out from the gap.

The crown was similar to its own one, rather than being gold and blue, the crown was red and gold with seven different colored gems embedded in it. In the middle of the crown, is a point with a four-leaf clover.

Raimu jumped off my shoulder and landed on the ground. The king slime shrunk in size becoming the same size as Raimu and placed the crown on its head.

When the crown was on Raimu's head, it shrunk to match the size of Raimu's head. All the slimes started jumping up and down, making 'Pii, pii' sounds.

Suddenly, I began speaking in my mind.

"Nemesis, do you know what's happening?"

"Good morning master, about this, it seems that Raimu has become the ruler of slimes. In the future, it will grow stronger alongside you its master. From what I can see, it also gained a new power as well, I'll leave it to you to find out for yourself, teeheehee."

"..."

"Alright, thanks."

It has been a while since I had met Nemesis, I would communicate with her sometimes, while you readers were probably reading a different novel. Since she can read my mind, my secret of being a transmigrator had long been revealed to her.

But this situation before me is a little bizarre. A random slime I picked up along the way, suddenly became a ruler class monster.

What is a ruler class monster? To put it simply, it is a unique monster that rules over its entire race. Even if the monster is a higher level than itself, they will still obey its orders.

Talk about being broken right? Well, slimes don't exactly appear on the higher level dungeons. There is even a dungeon with only slimes starting from floor one to a hundred. That is really the only place that would be useful with Raimu's new ability.

But from what Nemesis has said, it doesn't seem to be its only ability. After all, all ruler class monsters have their own unique ability just like the Demon Lord who is the ruler of all demons.

That sentence above is kind of contrary but well who cares, I can't unsay what I've already said so deal with it.

After Raimu wore the crown, it jumped back onto my shoulder as the door to the eleventh floor opened on its own. The army of slimes slowly disappeared, while the king slime jumped back into its throne room.

I looked at Raimu on my shoulder and poked it softly a couple of times before I headed to the next floor.
