In the living room, I could see Lumi practicing on her own. When I arrived, she stopped and had a look at me as I came down the stairs.
Sitting beside her, I asked her to show me her magic.
In her hand, a small but wild, pale green tornado was rotating on her frail hands. She then tried the other three elements, namely fire, water, and earth afterward.
From what I could see, her grasp on all four elements seems to be good.
"How many spells do you currently know?"
"About two for each element, but three for wind."
Rubbing my chin as if I had a beard, I nodded my head.
"Lumi, can you release your magic power for me to see?"
"Of course."
After agreeing to my request, Lumiere closed her eyes briefly before opening them again.
Surrounding her body is a faint green light that slowly became clearer and more solid.
Her magic power was being released into the atmosphere. The magic of the princess of the elves who are born with a large amount of magic.
In the game, her magic was only below Futaba-san and the protagonist Saito Ren's. Having one of the most powerful magic.
I closed my eyes and sensed her magic. Of course, since I could feel it, naturally Futaba-san and Onee-chan could feel it too.
If one were to look at me, they would be able to see a faint dark golden light surrounding my entire body just as Lumiere's magic did so.
I opened my eyes in order to sense her magic.
To describe her magic, I would say that, if the average person's magic is about a drop of water, then Lumi's magic is the size of an entire lake!
Of course, not only is the quantity of her magic large, even the quality of it is much higher than a human's.
Being an elf, that is loved by the spirits as well as magic itself, the elf race are able to use all kinds of magic throughout their lifetime.
Lumi being the princess of said race is naturally loved even more by the spirits and could even form a direct contract with them at some point in the game.
The feeling I felt from her magic was gentle and not overwhelming despite its large size. Of course, I only felt her magical power and didn't release my own since it might frighten her if I did do so.
The dark golden layer of light dispersed around me as so did the green layer around Lumi. After having a grasp of her current power, I nodded my head.
"Your magic is powerful enough, you just need to learn more spells and practice with them all. Of course, with wind magic being your favorite, you should focus on it the most."
Lumiere nodded when she heard my suggestion. Of course, even without me saying so, she would've done exactly so.
"From what I could see, your control of the magic elements is good but the power behind it is lacking a bit."
"What if you tried compressing the magic together as much as you can, despite the lack of size, the power should be much greater."
"The magic you release won't leak unnecessarily as well either."
"Since you have a large amount of magic, you won't need to worry about running out."
"Here, let me show you."
In my hand, I used the [Fireball] spell. At first, I injected a large amount of magic into my palm, making the fireball large.
Then slowly, it slowly shrunk in size, while the color of the fireball became darker and denser, which meant its power was even greater than before.
Not only that, I wasn't wasting any magic while injecting magic at the same time.
Of course, the magic around my body that is leaked unconditionally didn't stop.
After a few seconds, the fireball became the size of a fist. Its previous orange and yellow, became a fiery red, like a tomato.
It was clear that the power is much stronger than when it was still large.
It appears that after my awakening, my weakness of having poor emission type magic disappeared completely. I could now use any kind of magic freely just as anyone else could.
"Your turn."
Lumi nodded her head as she began testing it out. At first, she used a wind magic called [Tornado]. The tornado was large in size, reaching over a meter in height, slowly she began to gather the magic into a small part in order to compress it, thus making it more powerful.
On the first try, her magic quickly dispersed and broke apart. After trying another three times, did it not disperse immediately.
After a dozen or so tries, her magic stopped dispersing, while the tornado became smaller, but even more powerful, without wasting any magic.
We both stood at one end of the living room, placing a magic barrier around the room, we both fire our spells at each other, at the same time.
The small blazing red fireball, as well as the dark green tornado, clashed. Upon contact, an explosion of magic could be heard.
The magic barrier I placed slowly shrunk and contained the frenzied magic on a smaller scale.
When I looked at the magic, I began thinking.
Since wind makes fire stronger, then we could possibly merge our magic and create an even stronger magic.
In the game, such a topic had come up on the forums, however, the developers said that it wouldn't happen, since the game could be cleared without them.
If we were successful, then that would be game-changing, literally!
It brought about more options for us to work with, while also making it easier for us to manage in the dungeon.
Of course, since I mainly focus on my [Body Strengthening] magic, it would be better if someone else were to help her.
Wait, someone to help her? No is that even needed? What if she were able to simultaneously use two, or even more elements at the same time?
Her choices wouldn't be limited while making her even more powerful. Of course, since she is an elf, this would only be possible for her, not even the cheat-like protagonist could manage to do so since he is not blessed by the mana of the spirits.
As my thoughts became wild, Lumi could see the weird smile on my face.
Currently, we shouldn't focus on doing that, since she's still at this stage. For some reason, in the La Virlen kingdom, no one had taught her anything about magic, and only gave her a few spells to learn on her own.
I wonder what the reason behind that is, I pondered.
Breaking out of my train of thoughts, we both sat back down and began to discuss magic. I stayed by her side as Lumi practiced her magic for the entire day.
