"System, are the people in this world real, if so, are they even alive currently?" Rin asked the system.
".. The Sand MMORPG 2 is a product that is above time and space laws. Everyone to ever play is currently playing together in one dimension that was created solely for this. Every player was greeted with a message that they had gotten a system, no matter what world or parallel universe they are currently in. This allows them to grow stronger in the game and as well as their real world, I'm sure you get what I mean Host." The system explained.
"Wow.. that's all really interesting. So in other words they're all big shot protagonists with the Sand MMORPG System.. Hmm.. System I'm sure you have access to the information, where do I rank in levels compared to the rest?"
"You will have to wait. We are still calculating the achievements and transferring them. There are also still players that need to join. " The system explained once more like it was its job to.
Rin nodded his head. "Makes sense." He then thought to himself..
'Time to figure out what's in the new update!' Rin smiled.
Rin stepped out of the main area and ventured into the town. His first stop: a sand blacksmith.
The outside of the blacksmith's had a pathway that led inside, there was no roof covering the room.
Inside was a man who was working behind the counter. His entire body was made of sand specks but his face still managed to have defining features.
"What can I get for ya'?" The sand blacksmith asked and shaped his mouth specks to a smile.
"I was just curious on what types of weaponry you sell here?" Rin replied.
The man's expressions turned to an angry one and just began to stare at Rin.
Soon, a group of them appeared and pointed at Rin, all with angry expressions.
".. What is going on?" Rin questioned as he stepped back in fear.
"If you don't have money, leave." The angry sand man behind the counter said sternly.
"Kay." Rin stepped out of the blacksmith's and walked further down in the path.
'Yup just gonna erase that one from my memory.' Rin sighed and hoped that his heart would stop pumping so intensely now that the situation had passed.
Rin then found a hut setup with a sign that said "Meditative Experience".
"Welp. Time to go in." Rin said as he walked inside.
When he entered a barrage of smoke wafted onto his face.
"What is that?" Rin waved the smoke out of his face and coughed.
Soon enough, he found a single seat. He sat down on it and then heard instructions.
"Light the ceremonial object in front of you.. and smoke it." The voice said. It was coming from an area that was covered by wood.
"Okay, seems simple enough." Rin picked up a small box that was placed in front of him and opened it.
Rin picked up the lighter inside and lit whatever it was. He began to smoke it. It didn't take him long to complete it.
"This.. is kind of weird.." Rin became nauseous and dizzy, he fell onto the ground and began to see strange colors. Yellow and red were primarily seen as he began to hear voices.
Dancing skeletons appeared beside him. "come on Rin! We have to save her!" They said in unison whilst dancing gangnam style.
"Save.. Save who?" Rin questioned. His entire brain was in disarray.
Rin's teacher appeared out of no where and said "Your girlfriend.." He then licked Rin's lips.
"AHH!" Rin attempted to push him off but he wasn't there. The surroundings then changed into a dark tunnel, cars were passing and Rin was being hit continuously by them.
This happened for hours until the effects of the meditative experience stopped.
"Man.. that was... kind of cool." Rin jumped up from the ground and left the hut.
"I'm doing that again in the future for sure."
