Rin walked back to his colony and up the hill that was surrounded by his purple sand. Once he reached the peak he saw a strange dark temple in front of him. There was various markings and etchings on the temple walls. The entire thing was black, but it seemed like it was sending out a black energy from the top of it.
"Interesting..." Rin commented. He didn't know what to make of it. He had never encountered anything closely similar to this at all.
Rin approached the temple and entered inside of it. Inside it was dimly lit with torches on the walls, there was a pathway that led forward. When he entered inside, a door slid down from the top of the enterance, sealing it.
"Well. I guess I'm not going to be getting out.." Rin sighed. Another one of these forced dungeon-type things. He hated these!
Rin began to walk down the dimly lit path with caution. The entire temple was akin to a maze. It seemed like every second he was in here the walls would shift and change.
"This temple doesn't seem that fair.." Rin sighed. He wished he was still in his dream world. At least there it seemed everything was generally in his favor for the most part.
Rin turned a left and looked behind him where he had just come from. It indicates he just turned a right. Nothing seemed correct in this maze.
At this point Rin was beginning to lose hope but then he noticed something he hadn't before. The floor was also lit, just barely though.
Rin then noticed that there were parts of the floor that wasn't lit, he ignored that part and followed the light in desparation.
Shortly after Rin met the end of the light. In front of him was another enterance. He walked inside with caution. Either way, he wouldn't be able to go outside from here so what was the point of just staying in the maze. To starve?
Inside were 4 cubes that were floating. They spun around in the air with no other force interacting with it. Occasionally, they would shoot out a black energy that encased itself and was reabsorbed back into itself.
"What is that?" Rin questioned the system.
"Host.. you have uncovered a hidden area." The system replied. To be quite honest, Sera wasn't sure what to make of this herself.
"I hadn't planned for this to be here when Sand MMORPG 2 was created.. I have no clue what this is." Sera honestly replied. There was no reason to lie to Rin afterall. What benefits would she gain?
"Ah.. so it's something unintended. Does that mean it's a sand god that has fallen? Or is it just a demon?" Rin shrugged his shoulders and grabbed one of the cubes.
He looked down at it with intensity, hoping to understand even a bit of it's innerworkings. There were various runes on it, some of them were the same ones that he saw on the temple itself.
"Hmm... Should I stick my hand in here? What do you think Sera?" Rin laughed.
"I don't see why not. There has been no indication of any danger, why don't you give it a try host?" Sera didn't prove to enjoy the sarcastic tone in Rin's voice and urged him to do it.
"Okay but if I die it's your fault." Rin then began to inch his hand closer into the holes that were inbetween the corners of the cube.
"Host I was joking.. but if you want to do it, then do it." Sera didn't have any pity towards Rin. He was just one of many.
"That's fine. I'm going in! HAAAAAAA" Rin began to scream to make the entire thing seem a bit more dramatic. Soon enough, his entire hand was inside of the cube.
The cube lit up black and you could only see a dark nothingness encasing Rin's hand. A noise was then emitted from the cube, it was a deep MMM noise, then a clicking noise was made and air was compressed out of the cube. The cube then locked onto Rin's hand and shut..
"Hmm.. it looks like that's where that is now. Not much I can do about it." Rin shrugged it off and then decided he might as well put all of the pieces of the puzzle together... and he put them on his other hand, as well as his feet.
All four cubes were 'equipped' by Rin. He looked strange, his hands and feet not present. Just dark nothingness.
"Maybe I just crippled myself?" Rin questioned. Honestly he had no clue what he was doing and was just messing around at this point. He didn't think there would be many consequences for his actions in this world afterall.
"Oh wait.. why don't I just try teleporting to my colony?" Rin said to himself. He then slapped himself in the face for overlooking this fact..
The teleportation didn't work.
"Well.. at least I'm not too dumb if it doesn't even work.. yeah.. that's what I intended.. .." Rin sighed. It was so boring up here! And he couldn't just return to the real world with these measly gains, he would probably die to the cockroaches!
The cubes then turned red and began to beep..
A deep roar was heard. The cubes disappeared.
"Congratulations Rin! You have gained secret sand weapons on all of your limbs!" Sera revealed. She did recognize the cubes, but she just didn't want to tell Rin. She wanted him to earn it.
"Wow! ok." Rin then beat the wall of the Temple to test its effectiveness and the wall broke, he then jumped down the tall hill and reached the ground. Instead of his legs breaking, he was just fine!
"These are so strong..."
