When Jinjing opened her eyes, she saw she was lying in a hospital bed. An intravenous running from her left hand and the drip was almost empty. Still in a daze, she tried to sit up, but could not take support of her left hand. When she tried to move her right one, she found it constricted.
Following her movements, the grip on her hand tightened, and a deep voice sounded from above her "how are you feeling, Love?"
Turning in the direction of the voice, she saw a pair of dark, abysmal eyes. At the sight of those enchanting eyes, her mind instantly cleared up, and all that happened almost two hours back, flooded her mind at the speed of lightning. The previously blank face, emoted annoyance to its maximum.
Shaking her hand away, she angrily said. "you jerk!!!"
she was huffing and puffing with anger. She had just gained consciousness and the first thing she wished to do was to strangle this person beside her. Yes! No one else but, Liang.

Two hours back.
When Jinjing passed out, everyone gave a deathly glare to Liang. Despite, undergoing a major surgery, he had lost everyone's sympathy. Thanks to his stupid act.
Very soon a staff on duty entered with a gurney followed by the doctor. After carefully placing Jinjing on it, just when they were about to wheel her out Liang stopped them, "please, put the bed close to mine. Don't take her to another room."
Everyone just froze in place with their eyes wide. The staff was confused and waited for the orders of their superior. Normally this would not have been allowed to any regular patient, but since the person who made the request was president Sheng, they had to oblige.
Yet the doctor took around a minute to arrive to the decision. This made Liang think that he was not convinced. So, to further his request he added, "with such grave wounds, I would like to be close to my wife."
Hearing this, the wide eyes of everyone in the room were now accompanied by their jaws, which were literally touching the floor. They chose to stay mute till the staff was in the room. They would deal with the sly fella later.
Once Jinjing's bed was set beside Liang's and she was administered the medicine, the medical staff left. Now, only the family members were left.
Meili treaded close to her brother with a stoic look on her otherwise expressive face. Fisting her hands on her waist, she said "wife you say haaa….???" She questioned him.
Not allowing him to reply she warned him, "let's see if she even talks to you once she is up." snorting she turned on her heels and sat next to Buzz, who was currently enjoying his friends condition.
'This idiot is a pro at annoying people around him….' laughing inwardly, his thoughts continued 'he couldn't even stay put for one day…. hmmmp.' he snorted loudly, catching Meili's attention.
She narrowed her eyes and regarded him for a few seconds before she whispered to him, "I guess we are having the same thoughts." The couple giggled lightly, high fiving.
Mother Sheng walked up to her son and said in a stern voice, "how could you do that to a girl who loves you to bits? She was by your side for the entire time. I did not know my son could play such heartless pranks." She was clearly infuriated.
Her liking for Jinjing reached a new high when she observed her sincerity and genuine concern for Liang in the past two days.
She was definitely going to side with her future daughter in law.
In contrast to his wife, father Sheng did not verbally reprimand Liang but his stare was enough to spend a chill down his spine.
Gulping nervously, Liang said, "look guys, I did not think my prank would bear such a result…." Interrupting him, Meili educated him, "you know what…??? This dumb girl hasn't eaten a morsel since you've been admitted to the hospital….and you do this to her???"
"what!!!" Liang exclaimed. Guilt taking over him, he gazed tenderly at the petite form lying unconscious beside him.
