Liang's POV.
the moment my mind and vision cleared up, the first person my sight fell on, was the love of my life. I could not believe my eyes. I thought I was still in a comatose.
The hugging and tugging of my mother and sister, made it crystal clear that it was no illusion. She was really standing there, just a few steps away.
The time I did not talk to anyone after gaining consciousness, was actually the time I took to run a check on the bursting emotions inside me.
The five long years apart, had finally come to an end. Well I assumed they did, or else she would not be standing there, with love and concern clearly reflecting in her eyes.
Since the time Luwei told me the truth about his and Jinjing's relation, I had this unstoppable urge to pull her into a bone crushing hug. The entire duration of my flight, I could not sit still, despite the fatigue, I did not shut my eyes even for a second. I was constantly looking at the watch on my wrist. Somehow, in moments of anxiety, time seemed to pass at an excruciatingly slow pace. The three-hour flight felt like ages.
Finally, when I touched city B, I did not have the patience to sit in the back seat. I would have preferred to drive at lightning fast speed and reach her house. But I had to curb my urge by indulging in a conversation with my driver, old man Fu.
And no prizes for guessing. The topic was…. Obviously, Jinjing
But fate had other plans rolled up its sleeves. There some more waiting to be done.
So, when i regained consciousness and saw her walking towards me, feeling all shy yet apprehensive, I felt all the pain accumulated over these years leave my soul, all the gloominess was replaced by joy. Whereas, the physical pain from the accident and surgery, suddenly felt sweet pleasure. She was the best painkiller for me.
Under her mere presence, I slowly felt the former Liang unearth within. So, like the jerk I am, I decided to trouble her a little more. Well, even she troubled me…for all these years.
Well that did not end well, but I am still thankful that she is right now lying peaceful next to me. And this time around, I am not letting her go anywhere nor am I going to give her chance to cool off if she decides to go. I am going to follow her like her shadow.
Had I not been immobile due to my injuries, I would have pulled her into my embrace, kissed those originally plump lips and inhaled her intoxicating fragrance.
She is mine and only mine. I promise, I am going to make up for the lost time. Henceforth, my life is going to revolve only around her. She is the center of my universe.

"I love you Jinjing. and I am sorry for causing so much pain to you, not only for the past five years but also now. Forgive me for being a blockhead."
Jinjing pouted with a frown forming on her forehead. She was not in the mood of forgiving him.
"please…. We've endured so long to be together…. Let's not drag this further…. hmmm???"
Looking at his puppy like eyes, Jinjing decide to let go for once. "this is the last time… okay? if you trouble me once more I will leave you forever." She said, still holding a stern expression on her face.
"okay…. I promise not to trouble you…. but only for…" he did not use words to convey his message, he rather made use of his lone health, flirtatious hand to tickle her and make his intentions clear.
"ohhh!!!! I can't wait to get better…."
