Jinjing opened her eyes and noticed it was already morning. She had slept beside Liang's bed, still seated on the chair, her head on the bed and her hands holding his hand, all night long. Her awkward posture caused pain in her back, but the happiness her heart felt, was boundless.
Meili came in to call Jinjing. She whispered close to Jinjing's ear, "I came in last night but you were sweetly sleeping holding my brother's hand, so I did not disturb." She said nudging Jinjing mischievously, trying to brighten the mood.
"You can go home and freshen up, I will take over." Meili said while caressing her friend's messy hair.
"Buzz arranged for some breakfast, have it before going. You haven't eaten since yesterday evening." Jinjing only hummed to her bestie's suggestion. She quickly washed her face in the bathroom and headed out.
Mother Sheng had completely recovered overnight, but insisted on staying in the hospital, close to her son. A special room was arranged for the Sheng family to rest. Settling his wife in the room, Father Sheng hired a personal nurse for her and went home to change. He had to also look after the business affairs.

Mama Lee hurried out of the kitchen, "Jinjing! hun have some breakfast. You will fall ill if you starve yourself." Jinjing stopped in her tracks and turned around. She pecked on her mother's forehead and said, "I will eat when he wakes up." and turned once again to leave.
"baby that will do no good to you. Stay healthy and strong to take care of him." In order to stop her mother from worrying, she quickly gulped down a glass of milk and left the house in a jiffy.
Back at the hospital, Jinjing went to Liang's room. She saw Meili sitting on the couch and Buzz lovingly feeding her. The lovely sight before her, made her feel a pang in her heart. She looked in Liang's direction and thought 'I wish you to feed me the same way…. Wake up Liang.'
Meili shook Jinjing out of her reverie, "what are you dreaming about Jinjing?" Jinjing shook her head in response and sat on the chair beside Liang.
"Mei you can leave if you wish to. Get some rest. I will take it from here." She said moistening Liangs lips with some water. The next moment, a nurse entered the room with a warm towel to clean the patient up. Jinjing did not like the idea of any other lady touching Liang and that to, so intimately.
Looking at Jinjing's darkened expression, Meili let out a low laugh, she told the nurse "let the wife do the cleaning." Pointing at Jinjing with her chin. Pursing her lips to control her laughter, the nurse handed the towel over to Jinjing and left the room shaking her head in humor.
Meili cleared her throat loudly and said, "ahem! Ahem! Let's leave Buzz…. It's going to get hot in here." Walking out, she leaned close to Jinjing and said, "control yourself…. okay?"
Jinjing gave her bestie a deathly glare, before shutting the door. She went close to Liang and stood there for a minute, regarding his form. She took a deep breath and said to herself "it's not the first time… no need to feel embarrassed."
