Jinjing silently sobbed for a very long time. Meili was continuously consoling her friend. Seeing her pain, Mr. and Mrs. Sheng could feel the love and affection Jinjing had for Liang. They were happy that their son chose such a beautiful girl. Beautiful inside out.
The entire family went back to mother Sheng's room. It was imperative that she took some rest. When she settled down on her bed, she realized Jiaying was not present there.
"Is Jiaying with Liang?" mother Sheng asked out of curiosity.
Mu Jiaying's name made Meili and Jinjing whip their necks in mother Sheng's direction. Their eyes were wide with shock.
"Jiaying came here?" Meili interrogated.
Unaware of the truth, mother Sheng innocently said "yes." and shrugged her shoulder and looked askance at father Sheng.
To satisfy his curiosity, Father Sheng asked "what's the matter with your exaggerated reaction ?"
Meili stared at Jinjing and then at Buzz before gathering her courage and saying, "dad! Mom! I can't tell you everything right now, but Jiaying or any of the Mus are bad news. Stay away and keep them away." Meili cautioned her parents.
Trusting their daughter, the couple did not question her any further. Meili glared at the other two present in the room and signaled them to come out.
"don't you find it strange that Jiaying came here?" Meili posed the question to no one in particular. Biting on her nails, she kept alternating her gaze between Jinjing and Buzz.
"especially after the video episode." Buzz added.
"we will look at it later, currently Liang's well-being is the most crucial." Jinjing said, even though she doubted the motive behind Jiaying's visit.
The trio then went to the OR floor and the nurse informed them that Liang was shifted in the private ICU and advised them to visit one at a time. They bobbed their heads and went to take a look at Liang. The elder Sheng couple was informed about Liang and they made their way to his room as well.
Mother Sheng was the first to visit Liang. Father Sheng accompanied her as he pushed the wheelchair in. Mother Sheng could not control her tears when she saw her dear son lying in such dire state. Father Sheng patted her shoulder to provide her some strength.
After Meili and Buzz saw Liang, Jinjing finally went in but not before looking at the elders for permission. Father Sheng said with a smile, "go ahead my dear!
Jinjing apprehensively made her way inside.
She sat down on the chair beside Liang's bed. She carefully regarded the man lying unconscious on the bed before her. A tube running out from his mouth, an intravenous inserted in his strong beautiful hand, his forehead covered with gauze his one foot and hand in a cast, yet he looked attractive.
So many years went by, and this was the first time they were sitting peaceful next to each other. She never imagined, it would be in such circumstances. She held on to his hand with the IV, caressing it softly.
Her vision blurred with tears, she spoke, "Liang! I am sorry. I am sorry I did not give you a chance to explain…." She pursed her lips before continuing "my impatience caused us five years of togetherness. I am sorry."
Lifting his hand slightly, she placed a light kiss on it. Her lips still lingering close, she said, "I want one more chance. I want to apologize and I want to make up for our lost time. I want to love you like crazy. I want to spend my entire life with you…... Liang you have to give us a chance, wake up Liang…. Wake up."
