While working on a project with Jinjing, Luwei momentarily paused and fetched for something on his desk.
After searching through, he passed on an invite to Jinjing.
With a questioning gaze, Jinjing lifted the invitation to read it's content. After going through it she looked at Luwei and raised her eyebrows as if asking 'so what?'
Understanding her gesture, he said " Jinnie I want you to be my plus one for this..... like always" he playfully wiggled his eyebrows and grinned at Jinjing.
Shaking her head looking at his childish behavior, Jinjing lightly threw the invitation back on the desk. "I won't go." She said with full attitude, turning her swivel chair away from the desk while carefully examining her nails.
Looking from the corner of her eye, she knew Luwei was getting worked up.
Soon he walked from his place to the opposite side to Jinjing. Standing behind her chair, pleadingly he requested "jinnie... my dear jinnie... please do me a favor. If not for you, who will I take along? Like a genie please fulfill my wish..." me literally begged while massaging her shoulders.
She was just teasing him. Jinjing did not think he would go to such an extent for her to go along with him. Deciding to play a little further she said "what's there for me in this?"
Walking to the front, Luwei crouched before her and rested his hands on the chair handles, swinging her a bit from side to side.
He offered "what about a fully paid trip to a destination of your choice...??? Even better... i will join you too." As if it was an irresistible offer.
Witnessing him narcissistically adding to his worth, Jinjing smirked "who wants to go with you? Besides, there is a lot of work pending."
She rejected his offer. "So what does princess Jinjing want? Your wish is my command madam" he bent his head slightly and said.
"Then I command you to.... at least considered dating Samantha" Jinjing proposed.
A surprised Luwei, lifted his head to look at her. "Whattt????? Why????"
"Luwei! She came for you all the way from country A, leaving her people and her comfort behind, just for you. As your friend I wish only the best for you and Sam is a nice girl." Jinjing tried knocking some sense into him.
Trying to convince him further, she added "I am well aware that, despite treating me as your bestie, you still have some hope deep down in your heart that maybe I consider you as something more than just a best friend. But you know that's not possible. You need to move on. Give Sam a chance to love you.... please.... for me???."
Jinjing cupped his face while waiting for his response. Heaving a sigh, Luwei stood up and held on to Jinjing's hand making her stand as well. He hugged her emotionally, he said "okay!!! I will try.... i don't promise but.... i will wholeheartedly try..."
Getting the response she was expecting, Jinjing hugged him tighter before moving away and speaking while looking straight into his eyes "thank you bestie!!"
"But you are accompanying me to banquet i don't know anything" Luwei bossed around.
"Fine.... but this is the last time... after this you will take Sam along wherever you go.... deal?" Jinjing stuck her pinkie out.
Luwei let a low laugh out and sealed the deal.
