when Osiria woke up, what greeted her was blood dripping from the ceiling of a cave. she looked around and only found dead bodies with a silvery blu butterfly hovering just beside her.
"hmm? a new breed perhaps?" Osiria followed the butterfly when it left to a deeper part of the cave. her boots trampled the blood pools and flesh of both monsters and Fallen. she looked around some more and found some written scriptures and papers.
"what's this...?" she grabbed the papers took a glance, a diamond with a stigma of the Goddess Alyn. she looked around some more but suddenly, the butterfly sat down on the papers Osiria was reading and disappeared without a trace she looked behind and her eyes greeted a calm yet cautious man.
Osiria stepped back by instinct and wielded the knife on her back- "who are you? state your name!" Osiria cautiously commanded the stranger who was shrouded in the shadows. the man stepped to the light, silver hair with blue strands, eyes at if they were as white as the hottest star.
"isn't it rude to shout like that when you're the one intruding?" the man didn't care for the knife, he stood there menacingly until-
shadows cornered Osiria, slowly engulfing her without restraint, hindering Osiria's movements.
"tch! let go of me!" Osiria demanded but the man simply st down and continued to his work. his mouth opened- "don't you think it's better to introduce yourself first? are Fallen children like this?... it would've been better if I didn't attempt to save them huh?..." the man continued to his work not even paying Osiria any attention, he simply ignored the fact that there was an intruder on his place.
"gah! fine! I'm Osiria! Osiria Von Eisen. are you happy now!?" before the shadows silenced her, Osiria shouted her name, was it perhaps by fear? anger? whatever it was, it saved her life. the shadows stopped suddenly upon hearing Osiria's name, the man's expression didn't change though.
"haha... it's been a long time since I haven't heard that surname... Naoya's child perhaps? but that's impossible... he has no productive glands..." the man looked intensely at Osiria. he sighed.
"right... you are his child... but you- you look a lot like my partner right now... but that's not the matter. I forgot that I haven't introduced myself, have I?"
the man stood, bowing in a rather formal matter too, "I-... I am the grand researcher Kirin Aiha, I have another person here but I sent her out to gather. In the meantime, make yourself at home, I don't suppose that you'll be interrupting my precious research so do anything you want, you can leave too!"
the man who called himself Kirin left the room and entered another one, Osiria in the meanwhile, didn't leave, but she did question to herself, how did she arrive here? if the man didn't know who she was, why would he be cautious, but reminiscing what he said recently, there was another person here, perhaps she was her savior/captor.
because of that, she waited patiently until her savior/captor arrived, but days went by and she didn't arrive. the man noticed her and gave her some food rations.
"still waiting for her I see? why?" Kirin looked at the child curiously. Osiria answered-
"I want to know why she captured me, one moment I was sleeping because of my injuries, next thing I knew I was here with dead bodies..." she looked around but there were no bodies nor blood of any traces, it was like it was fully cleaned off.
"I don't know what you're talking about... I understand the blood but there's nothing on sight here, it's unlikely that there would be any recent corpses here let alone old ones. and Liliya didn't came back ever since a war month, although I know she's going back tonight, I don't think it's her you should be asking though..."
Osiria sighed, it didn't seem like they were the one who captured her but she seems resolute on staying.
"guessing from your expression... it's best you leave though..." the man warned her but before he even finish the explanation, a thin slice of shockwave pierced through Osiria's hair, cutting her long hair in half.
"tch- forgive me for missing master." a cute yet elegant girl arrived, with a greatsword the size of her and brown hair.
the girl looked like the same height as Osiria but her power were immense, Osiria knew she had no chance of defeating her, let alone her family who she knew were the only ones who she can't defeat, another one with enormous strength entered, probably even stronger than her father.
"I-... It looks like you aren't really the person who captured me then... I'll be leaving now. can you both tell me where the failed state of the fallen is?"
the girl who attacked Osiria looked surprised by her question then sighed.
"What is your purpose for visiting that place? you'll only see despair there and you'll be looking for death's door, the blood orb hasn't disappeared yet and it's still gathering a lot of there and blood, you're only asking to die there"
the girl warned her and Osiria answered "yes, I know that but our encampment is nearby, we're still bearing our resolve to fight against the Human race and until then, we'll destroy that orb."
Liliya looked at Kirin and back at Osiria. "it looks like you have your reasons, sorry for attacking you out of caution. by the way, we probably won't meet again but I feel like introductions is a must, I am Liliya Rosa." Liliya bows.
Osiria glanced at the two and thought to herself- "somehow... it feels like I've seen them before..." but ignored it. after that, she introduced herself like last time and left the cave with Kirin's map, finally returning back to the camp after 5 full days.
. . .
"Kirin..." Liliya looked at Kirin with a sad expression, it's as if she's missing the past it once was.
"I know... it seems like they don't need us..." Kirin patted Liliya's back and slowly returned to their cave, preparing to depart and leave the cave. Liliya took a glance at Kirin's working station, it was a portrait of all of them when they were all a child.
Liliya looked at the frame with regret "yes... I can't abandon them either..." and packed things up.
---------------
an orb of pure white was visible in all parts of Laplace, inside the orb was a boy with pure white hair with blood strands and two corpses of the same genes. there were also 3 other people, a man with pitch-black hair, a girl with golden-brown hair and a woman with black hair and a scenery of bloody hell.
along with them was a child of a demon, soaking up all the blood that was scattered along the ground into a sphere above her head. the blood sphere divided and took on shapes like spikes aimed at the boy.
"Kirin! you can't do this!" the girl screamed to her lungs and barely saved Kirin who was pushed back.
"Naoya! Mei! you both can't just stand there! what the heck are two doing!?" Liliya held her resolve and continued to deflect any and all projectiles with difficulties.
"Liliya! return here now! you can't handle her with you right now!" Mei yelled with terror in her voice, Naoya was silent, hesitant. "I-... I'm sorry... it's the master's orders Liliya, you shoul-"
before Naoya managed to complete his sentence, Liliya interrupted him with as if a battle cry was heard.
"Master's order's my ass! Naoya! you are seeing your master get killed right in front of you! what do you think is the decision that you're supposed to go to!?" Liliya continued protecting Kirin.
until then, an hour passed without even a single movement on both Naoya and Mei. their faces were filled with terror and hesitation.
Kirin ignored Liliya as if she was naturally there in the fight and Liliya supported Kirin in all ways she can.
Naoya tried to help but. "I... can't...". Naoya's movements contradict his oath but at the same time, he wants Liliya to live.
"Mei, can-" Naoya glanced at Mei but she was slumped, powerless to even move. her tears were visible, to Naoya, this was the epitome of regret, not even having the same strength as Liliya seemed fine to him but at the same time.
"regret..." all he can think about was to follow Kirin's orders.
---------------
"everything else was hazy... and... I truly regret following Kirin's orders..."
Naoya was slumped with Mei injured and resting in the bed. he held the portrait shakingly.
"I swear... I will find you again... and when I do, I will atone all of my sins and follow you wherever you go... I'll... never leave you again... even if it's an order from our master."
