Chapter 58 - (*)fate

(who was the idiot who somehow made a 2000 word and didn't save? this guy! I'll set up a bonus non-canon chapter just to ease myself a bit...)

"hmm... father's been late for quite some time now... you think he'd be fine, Alice?" the girl wearing tattered clothing stood, asking a robotic A.I. in her phone.

"Osiria, I keep telling you to call me Analisse, my creator has called me that for some long time ever since I was created. that aside, I don't know... your father hasn't been late like this since the incident..." the A.I. continued to search for Osiria's called father via hacking through the cameras set up by the former queen, Theia Aiha.

Osiria continues to chat with the A.I. that was given to her by her Aunt, Mei.

the world of Laplace have been in a catastrophic emergency since the incident of the grand scientist's death. the growing blood apocalypse- Parva's apocalypse. ever since the resurrection of the sealed monster called Parva, the scientist did everything he could to prevent the rebirth of the monster but- he wasn't able to. in the midst of all the discrimination to the Fallen, this incident not only made it fuel the fire, it has also given birth to a whole new problem, the blood orb that orbits the world of Laplace, and by time, it will kill everything in sight once it grows big enough.

. . .

Osiria looked at the frame that is placed in Naoya's desk, a frame of a man with white hair, a woman with golden-brown hair, her Aunt, and her father.

"it's been a while since it has been peaceful huh?..." Osiria lamented holding the picture. after she placed the frame back, her father- Naoya Von Eisen, returned with bruises and open injuries, there's a late wound obvious enough in his arm-

"Father! I told you to stop using Bone manipulation! you're only destroying yourself if you keep doing that!" Osiria immediately grabbed the first-aid supported by her aunt, Mei.

"haahhh... I keep telling you to stop it... haven't you suffered enough?" Osiria was mad but gentle, she treated Naoya's wounds unconditionally and gave him both the blood pills and painkillers.

Naoya patted Osiria's head, smiling at her. "haha, I'm fine, if I would die from simple usage on bone arts, then I'm not worthy of being called a creation of the greatest scientist. you're not bored aren't you?"

the girl finished treating all the wounds, this time, she looked determined. with a slap on the face, she steeled herself and-

"father! please! teach me how to use blood arts!" she looked red and closed her eyes. Naoya laughed, patting her head once more-

"Alright, alright. I'll teach you once I healed. it won't be long until I fully recover" after the talk, Naoya waved his hand and lied down on the swinging bed made of simply just rope hanged in the roof and durable leather.

"father..." Osiria called Naoya silently-

. . .

Osiria sat down on a living tree's branch, swinging itself in the hill. within the viewable distance, a small town can be seen secluded by a long, running river. on the other side, a city can be seen just in the horizon, a large tower called the lightning tower was barely visible.

while hanging around, Osiria's pocket suddenly vibrated, it was Mei.

"yes Aunt? did you need something?" Osiria answered but Mei's voice was weary, silent.

"Osiria? alright... this is fine. Osiria-hun, can you please wait for me in the dragon's den? I'd need to retreat from-" glass and water could be heard in the background breaking and splashing around

"Damn you all! sorry hun- but please wait in the dragon's den! that's a request from your Aunt!"

before Osiria could even answer, the phone was hung up.

"tch-... Humans just keep destroying us and killing us as if we don't even belong here..." Osiria's face sterned and was fuming. her hatred towards human's only grows stronger.

. . .

while waiting in the dragon's den requested by her aunt, a young dragon could be seen inside, anxious and nervous because of her-

"h-hello little... um... dragon, can I wait here?" she politely requested the young dragon but, in a mere fraction of a second, Osiria felt a surge of piercing wind in her face.

"who are you and what are you doing?" a dragonkin, with scales and a face of a lizard.

Osiria held her hands up and pleaded for mercy- "l-listen, I'm only here to wait, I don't mean any harm. I'm just waiting for a relative of mine because she asked me to wait here, I didn't think that there would be any dragons here waiting..."

Osiria stated her reasons but the dragonkin didn't listen. he continued with the barrage of wind pulses that can injure Osiria's light body, maybe even incapacitate her.

with efficiency, Osiria managed to evade every single wind pulse but even the continuous barrage will tire her out.

"tch, would you please just listen to me!?" Osiria screamed, her voice echoed through the cave but the barrage didn't stop

"damn it. I can't afford to use this just yet..." Osiria held a crystal in her hand firmly. with fluid motion, she continues to evade a single blow until-

the dragonkin suddenly disappeared- "your open-" without a moment of thought, Osiria felt a powerful blow in her back, sending her flying from one part of the cave to the edge.

Osiria coughed blood, thankfully, she has already earned scars that wouldn't even pose her current situation as dangerous. she healed quickly and stood up, albeit staggering due too the loss of blood

the dragonkin walked through the dragged marks that Osiria left behind but before he even closed the gap, Osiria made a compromise-

"Wait! look! I'm not here to injure both of you! I didn't even know you two were here in the first place. if you want, you could keep me in check, I'm already- too injured to move. I won't do anything to you-"

after holding it in, even with it being obvious from her voice just then, Osiria coughed up more blood.

"crap... I'm not fully healed yet..." Osiria held the crystal in her hand firmly and laid down, at the mercy of the dragonkin who injured her.

the two dragonkind didn't waver. even with Osiria being held at their mercy, they kept their vigilance. the young dragon is now much more alert and wary, even with Osiria lying on the ground.

Osiria panted heavily, continuing to focus on her blood circulation so that no more blood can escape.

"haahhh... focus... that's it... lower your pacing, slow down your circulation..."

a method of weak blood manipulators. control one's own blood to decrease the blood loss. although doing this makes the user more groggy and weaken one self.

the two dragons ignored her, continuing to be wary from her and rested freely in the other corner. the dragon was visible but not the dragonkin.

Osiria tried to grab something from her pocket but the dragon immediately shot nearby her, a fiery spit piercer than any needle was just shy on her shoulders, warning Osiria to not even make a single suspicious movement.

"damn it... fine, have it your way then... I hope dad's alright..."

some time passes and Mei finally arrived at the dragon's den, only to see that Osiria was heavily injured.

Mei rushed through the cave uninterrupted and immediately gave Osiria painkillers and sleeping pills.

"hang in there hun. Analisse, execute project lifeline"

a sudden ring came from Mei's pocket and an automobile was suddenly delivered to the entrance of the cave.

Mei carried Osiria to the automobile and immediately left the scene.

. . .

from the past, all of the Fallen and Human warfare continued to the ends of the world, counting millions of lives to be taken from the world's end. now, the battle between Fallen rights and Human discrimination continues. the peaceful cities of Humans can be counted in handful numbers, the Fallen has been destroyed to its core, never to see the light of day again.

. . .

"Osiria! are you alright!?"

a piercing scream can be heard from Osiria's ears. it's her Aunt's voice.

"Ma-... Madam Theia? what are you doing here?" glittering white hair and a young face, Mei's secretary and the Fallen's shining hope, Theia Aiha.

"I'm glad that you're alright... that drat of a scientist asked you for it and didn't even give you a complete recovery... what a fool... anyway, are you fine? do you hurt anywhere?"

the only thing that Osiria can get from this crumbling family, is their love for one another, Osiria knew who they are and see them as her own, the same goes for the other party.

"I'm fine, by the way Madam Theia, I found a dragon and a dragonkin in the den, did Aunt Mei meet them?"

upon hearing Osiria's question, Theia immediately faded to white. surprised, she called Mei and left the tent.

"did I say something?" Osiria stood but the moment she stepped even a foot on the ground, her nausea started to act up, coughing up more blood in the process.

"haahhh... I can't show my weak side to anyone but my family..." Osiria endured it and hesitantly stood up- but-.

"kya!" her muscles didn't have any strength to let her stand, collapsed and screamed, the people around the camp heard her and immediately rushed to her care-

"miss Osiria! please don't stand! take a rest!" the Fallen mercenaries carried her back to the swinging bed. as soon as they finished scolding her, they returned back to their post with bright smiles.

"hmm..." Osiria lamented on herself, lied down, and rested with repressing thoughts. without any more time wasted, Osiria fell asleep.
