Chapter 20 - 20 - Tea

Ellery's POV

I took his clothes and put it in the dryer along with a few sheets scented paper. I found it thoughtful and funny enough how he thought about hiding his undergarment between the layers of his clothing.

I walked over to the kitchen, washed my hands, and got out some Mandarin Orange Tea Preserves. Luckily, I was bored a few days ago and decided to make the preserves in order to satisfy my boredom. I opened a cabinet and took out two mugs. I took a spoon scooped about two or three spoons of the preserve into each mug.

After putting some water in a pot and putting it on the stove, I heard the bathroom door opened and closed. A few seconds later, a well built and muscular man walked out.

Charles had a towel wrapped around his torso, just below his hip, just so you could still see his V line. His hair was dripping wet and there were still some water droplets left behind that he didn't completely wipe off. He looked like he just came out of a magazine or TV commercial. Even hotter than Chris Hemsworth or David Beckham.

"Ellery!" Charles yelled, making me nearly jumped out of my hair. "Earth to Ellery. Can you hear me?"

"Huh? What?"

"I have been calling your name for the past minute."

"Oh." I said, blushing. I hadn't realize I've been staring at him. Oh my god. I'm not supposed to think this way of my boss. Or my new friend.

"What were you thinking about?"

"Nothing." I said hurriedly. "Did you need something?"

"A towel and my clothes."

"Hold on. I'll go get it."

I nearly ran out of the kitchen in embarrassment. I went to the dryer to check on the clothes. It was still damp, so I closed the door again and pressed start. The clothes rumbled in the old machine once again. I then reached over the dryer and washing machine to grab some towels. Before I walked back to the kitchen, I took a deep breath to calm my nerves but my heart was still thumping very hard. What is wrong with me? Why am I fantasizing about my boss?

I made my way into the living room/kitchen/dining room. I couldn't afford for a bigger place so all of the main room are connected together. There was still a closet for doing laundry and a bedroom with a bathroom. It might be shabby to some people, but it's not so bad for someone like me.

Charles was standing against a wall, staring at his phone, looking all serious so I threw the towel at him. He jumped in surprise, nearly dropping the towel covering his manhood.

"What did you do that for?" He said, his eyes wide with fright.

The me inside my brain is rolling around on the floor and laughing so hard and I tried so hard to keep it in and tried to not show anything. "You're clothes aren't dry yet. I left it in there but it'll be ready soon."

"I went ahead and got my tea. Hope you don't mind." Charles said, pointing to the tea on the coffee table.

"It's fine. I don't mind."

Charles put his phone on the coffee table and started to dry his hair. His hair flew around and water flailed around everywhere. It landed on every surfaces and even hitting me in the face.

"Stop!"

"What?"

"Just, just stop. You're getting water everywhere."

"No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are. Just sit there. I'll do it for you." I said, pointing to the couch.

"I'm not a child. I don't need help drying my hair."

"I don't care. I don't want you to make my whole house wet."

"Fine." He said reluctantly and sitting down. "Just this once."

~~~~~~
I took Charles' clothes out of the dryer and it was crisp and smelled like flowers. I brought the still hot clothes to the living room, and faced a sleeping Charles.
He had fallen asleep when I was in the middle of drying his hair. His head had started falling over to the side and I was quick enough to catch it before it fell. I was so scared that I might drop his head or something.
He laid on the couch, quite uncomfortably I might say. He was too tall for the short couch so he laid there, crumpled up. It was funny to watch.
I laid his clothes on the coffee table and walked over to him and looked at his face. He looked so calm and peaceful. It's hard to imagine that someone so egotistic, rude, and impolite could be sleeping so calmly. I had to restrain myself from touching his face out of curiosity. I didn't want to wake him up.
I went into my closet and took out a blanket and pillow. Holly sometimes sleeps over with her little brother, so I always have extra blankets and pillows.
Walking out to the living room, once again, I tried to be quiet as much as I could. I gently put the pillow under his head and cover him with the blanket. At least the blanket now cover the towel that covered his private area.
I watched him fall into a deeper sleep before I yawned and made my way to bed.
Letting my boss sleep over at my house for one night, what could possibly go wrong?
