2 months have passed since the encounter with the Imperial Empire army. John used this time to supply weapons to the villagers. He made sure that everyone had at least a dagger. The villagers have become thankful to John and started inviting him into their homes for meals. As time went by they noticed they were getting a lot of attention from Travelers. Some travelers were forthcoming and wanted to meet John. Others were shady and just following John, not even exchanging words. Some have even begged John to travel to their village to heal a loved one. John hated having to refuse to help people but knew he couldn't leave his village unprotected. There was 2 travelers that caught John's attention as they didn't feel normal. John purposely led them around to where no people were and began following them. They would stay with a local villager, who opened her house as an inn. These travelers were small, agile and nimble. They were thin and always wore a black cloak. With their heads constantly down, the hood of the cloak hid their faces.
Once they were in their rooms, John would wait outside for a day. When the moon rose, that's when they were really shady. They would dart out of the house as if nothing more than a shadow. John would follow them all night and they would leave the village and head into the forest to the east. Not wanting to leave the village for long, John would turn back. John tried to watch the house at which they were staying but would also fall asleep. John repeated this process for a weeks time and it was always the same. John had enough of the games and stood just inside the treeline of the forest and wait for them. As they approached John stepped out into their view. "Who are you and why are you here?" John questioned sternly. They stood in silence as John repeated the question louder. In a rapid succession they each darted opposite directions. John knew he could only chase one so he followed the one to the left. Running at full speed, this travelers was just slower than him. He dove forwards and grabbed the mysterious travelers ankle. The traveler didn't even react, just kept running. John quickly flipped over from his stomach to his back, instantly snapping the traveler's ankle. The traveler still tried to run but couldn't and fell to the ground sliding a few feet before coming to a stop.
Traveler knew it was caught and tried to keep itself covered until the last second. As john approached it, it let out a sigh and swiped it's hand at John. John noticed it's hand was pale and elegant, but in it's clutches was a small knife. As it swiped it caught John by surprise and ran across his cheekbone. Instinctively John put his hand up to his left cheekbone. John moved his hand back into his eye sight and noticed there was blood on his hand. John began healing immediately with the blood running back up his neck and into his cheek and sealing itself shut. The traveler looked on in disbelief. "You're one of us?" it hissed. As it looked up John could see long silver hair, soft skin, and pale eyes. The traveler was clearly a female. "I thought Angel's eyes always glowed, Ampol" John stated mentally. "Only when we are using our power." Ampol responded. "I must insist on knowing your name." the traveler said in an soft whisper. "I would ask the same, but who could forget high lady Trinity." John responded. "Ampol, is that you?" Trinity responded in disbelief. "It is my lady." John responded. "Where have you been? Everyone was looking for you. What happened to you? You look so.. human." Trinity barraged John.
"My lady, Doren and I made arrangements to settle our personal affairs before continuing our fight. My affair however was to take a small vacation and see how the humans would treat this place once we completely stepped back. No one else must know of this." John answered sternly. "Your secret is safe with me general." she responded contentedly. "What is your business here anyhow Lady Trinity?" "Oh there were rumors going around that there is a God in this village, now I understand, it is you." Trinity responded. "It is. I apologize for giving you false hope my lady. I just found some humans with dark souls, full of sins, so I tried to absolve them." John responded. "You never fail to keep me guessing general. I believe it's about time for my sister and I to take our leave. Wouldn't want her to find you out." Trinity responded. "I guess it is my lady, until next time." John replied. John turned around and headed back into the village.
"Ampol, I thought you said you were the strongest angel." John asked mentally. "I am the strongest, but still not of the noble family." the soft voice whispered back. "Was it never in your interest to get a noble title?" asked John. "I considered it once, then realized I would have to be involved with politics. Whether you are human, angel or even demon, politics are just the same lies on repeat." Ampol responded. "I can't even argue with you on that, Ampol." John replied snickering.
