Chapter 19 - Auction 4

"The plate determined the strength of a totem powerhouse. The stronger the plate, the higher the totem can rise, the wider the plate, the possibility of having more than one totem can increase." The young man said.

Tristan smiled. "Good. Now tell me about this particular ruin."

The young man explained what he heard from the old sage within his consciousness. Tristan then summoned the the red fruit into his room. "You can consume it here." Tristan said. He was happy with the information he received about the Plate as well as the seventh civilization.

Soon the young man in disguise left the box and even left the auction. Several people sent minions to tail this young man. The man who had earlier rebuked the young man was shocked. "He actually managed to trade."

Finally the fruits had all been sold. The auctioneer had a sigh of relief, those frightening tomatoes were too high quality for the auction, he realized. But when he looked at the next object on the list, he shuddered.

"The next object put out by White Star is this bottle. It contains one drop of liquified life essence of pinnacle quality. We have only three such bottles for sale."

Liu Daobai saw that and almost cried. He looked at his granddaughter in anger. He could have traded those objects for this liquified life essence! This was liquified life essence after all, one drop was enough to initiate a breakthrough in even a martial artist like himself.

Immediately the War Conference representative in a Box in the corner spoke up. "We will be purchasing the three drops. I hope no body minds?"

From another box Heavy Matter yawned. "Trying to pressure White Star with the War Conference? If you have something worth trading I have no issue, but the Vast Expanse will not allow the War Conference to act unbridled against its members!"

The War Conference representative was stunned. Just now he had been forceful to test the behavior of the Vast Expanse towards White Star. "I did not expect White Star to be considered so highly by Heavy Matter." He thought to himself.

He coughed and spoke up. "Of course, I wasn't trying to bully anyone. I am offering a fair trade, I believe White Star will be satisfied." Then he messaged White Star through a private channel accessible to VIP boxes only.

"White Star, The War Conference will offer one of three choices in return for three drops of essence. First, one chance to enter the War Conference's pocket training world. Second, one chance to use the combat tower. Third, one chance to enter the Core Tunnel to forge a Flame Resistive body." The representative said. For the War Conference providing a chance didn't really matter, after all, it didn't cost anything to them.

Tristan thought for a moment then replied back. "I'll give you 6 more drops, I want all three opportunities."

When the War Conference representative saw that he was stunned. He quickly contacted his superior, before gulping and soon replied to White Star agreeing to his conditions. In his mind he thought one thing. "Tycoon. White Star is an absolute Tycoon!" The one thing War Conference had was strength, but the thing it lacked the most was resources. This was a great deal for them.

If they knew how much Tristan was hiding within his storage most definitely a war would break out. He had the entire life time supply of the Battle Body Royal Treasury from a hundred thousand years ago.

This auction had only reinforced his belief that money wasn't as important as these kind of rare resources. He could trade them to get things that were useful for a bit. Thinking for a moment he contacted Heavy Matter and spoke for a bit.

When the Auctioneer was about to announce the next item he stopped. "White Star has decided to take back the last two items from the auction. He feels like his items are perhaps better suited for...cough... a more private transaction. We will now begin the next set of items, which belong to Alchemist Cauldron."

Most people did not understand what this meant. But those who were invited to the VIP barter later understood. Most of White Star's items ended up being bartered anyway, it was pointless to let the items remain in the auction. Clearly White Star didn't care about money.

Tina looked at her grandfather. "I want to meet White Star! Didn't you say he was about my age? How can he be so overbearing?" Liu Daobai was frowning. "He will be present in the barter later on."

Soon after, the items from the Alchemists Cauldron Guild, Martial Alliance and War Conference were auctioned and there was a huge uproar for the items as well as multiple requests for private trades. Tristan kept himself away from these auctions as there was nothing of interest to him here.

As the auction ended, people quietly departed the scene. Many had bought several treasures and people were looking on with greedy eyes. Tristan calmly sat in the vip box. Soon, the others exited the auction house and only the VIP members remained. Then a few other individuals who hadn't participated in the auction earlier also arrived and occupied some boxes as well.

It was now time for the private barter.
