Jun Ji smiled as he checked on his wrist watch. It's almost eight. Just a couple of minutes more and Charmaine will walk on that door. He has specially reserved the whole restaurant for this evening. This is a very important date and nothing must go wrong. Everything has been prepared. The wines laced with roofies are all set. He just need her prey to step into his web and everything will be settled. The people who will be taking photos and videos are on stand by waiting for his signal and the hotel suite has been booked. He can't help but feel his blood rush in excitement.
After a few minutes, Jun Ji laughed as he saw a woman's figure walking towards the entrance of the restaurant. This is it. The show is about to start.

Leo glanced at his phone while he was lying on the bed. It's already eight but Charmaine wasn't home yet. There wasn't a single message either. He wondered what's taking her so long. Earlier, she left saying she needs to go out to buy a few things from a nearby shopping center but she hasn't come back yet.
Worried, he took his phone and was about to dial Charmaine's number but he suddenly stopped when he heard his door creaking as it slowly swung open. The room was dark and he can clearly see the silhouette of a woman standing against the light of the corridor. "Charmaine?" he called.
Suddenly, he heard a woman chuckle. "I'm not her. But I'm here to tell you where she is right now." the woman responded as she closed the door behind her and walked towards Leo Ji.
"What do you mean?" he asked with furrowed brows. Who's this woman?
"Earlier, I heard her talking on the phone with someone. I think she's meeting a man in the GD restaurant right now. I bet she'll be out all night so why don't we have a little fun ourselves?" she asked as she walk towards Leo.
Leo was stunned. Charmaine was meeting a man behind his back? Somehow, he suddenly got worried. Could it be true? "Fun? Why don't you make it clear?" he said as he tried to get up. He climbed down and sat on the edge of the bed.
The woman who was already standing in front of him put her right knee on the bed between his legs and wrapped her arms around his neck before biting his ear? "Well instead of checking on your cheating girlfriend, why not play with me for a bit. I won't let you down."
Bianca. Leo narrowed his eyes as he recognized her up close. He grabbed her arm about to pry it away but suddenly, blinding light flodded the room as the door opened and light was switched on.
"Just what are you doing behind my back?" Charmaine asked as she stood in the doorway. She was just gone for a few hours and another woman was pressing her husband once again? Some things really never change.
"Charmaine, this..." surprised and unable to say something, Leo just resorted to pushing Bianca away with all his strenght to vent his anger. Turned out the woman was just setting a trap for him! "Can we talk about this first?"
With a loud thud, Bianca fell backwards on the carpeted floor. She touched her aching hips as she turned to the woman walking towards her. How come she's already home? Didn't she agree to meet Jun Ji tonight? She can't believe she screwed up on her mission in her first day. Bianca ignored the pain and tried to get up. She was about to make up an excuse but a slap suddenly landed on her cheek causing her to fall on her bum once again.
"How dare you seduce my man." Charmaine uttered as she looked down on her. "I don't keep traitors. Get out of this house right this moment or I will put you in jail." she threatened.
Bianca's face turned pale. "No. I didn't do anything. Even if I sleep with your boyfriend, you can't throw me in jail for that!" she refuted.
Charmaine laughed but it was mirthless. "Yes. You can't go to jail for touching my man but what about corporate espionage? You just bugged this whole mansion and even my phone! Do you still think you're safe? And don't challenge me to produce evidence on you or I might be compelled to call on the police right now." she stated with cold eyes. So cold it sent chills to Bianca's bones. She was intimidated and quickly run away.
Charmaine folded her arms over her shoulder as she glanced in the direction Bianca fled through. As she expected, that woman was up to no good. Did Jun Ji sent her? She wished she could confront her about that in front of Leo Ji.
All this while, Leo was just staring at Charmaine Song, speechless. It's strange but he used to hate it when Charmaine act tough like that. He thought he just hated quarrelsome women. Or maybe he defined Charmaine with it and thought she's quick-tempered and hostile. He was very wrong about her though and he's finding her tough side admirable now!
"You!" Charmaine suddenly turned to Leo who was still sitting on the edge of his bed like a statue. "Didn't you promise not to cheat on me?" she said with accusing eyes.
Leo was taken aback. "I wasn't cheating. I was just about to push her away but you suddenly barged in!" he tried to explaine.
Charmaine sneered. "Are you telling me it's my fault for not giving you enough time to do what you wanted?"
Leo held his forehead. Indeed that didn't come out right. "She was telling me some curious details and so I dared not send her away immediately. She said you're meeting with a man behind my back and I got a little distracted by worrying thoughts." he confessed.
Charmaine's eyes darkened. The woman tried to have a taste of her husband because she thought she'll fall for Jun Ji's trap? They indeed were in this together. Despicable!
"Forget it!" she exclaimed. "See that?" she uttered, pointing at the paperbags scattered on the floor near the entrance of the room. "I went out to buy those clothes for you since you'll be staying here for a few days. And I was late because I had my phone checked because I was thinking it could be bugged.... and it was."
"Then how did you know the house was bugged too?" he asked.
Charmaine shrugged her shoulders. "I don't. I was just threatening her. I don't have evidence. Just pure hatred. But since she got scared, I guess it's true that she bugged the house."
Leo sighed and shook his head. Sometimes, it's best not to anger his kitten. But he still has lingering doubts about Bianca's words. How true are they?
Charmaine turned around and walked towards the door. Leo thought she was leaving in anger. She went out of the room but after a couple of minutes, she came back wearing a sleepwear. She closed the door behind her and then pressed the switch, turning off the light.
"You made me upset so I have to give you a punishment tonight." she said as she slowly walked back to the bed and slipped herself under the blanket.
Under the dim light of a lampshade, Leo watched as Charmaine lay herself on his bed. So she's sleeping in his room tonight? How bold! "You don't mind sharing a bed with me?" he asked.
"Or what? Should I let you be taken advantage of while you're on my watch?" she jested. "If I don't keep watch, what if Bianca comes back to molest you?"
Leo laughed out loud. That sounded weird in so many ways. So she thinks he's a fragile little thing that just anyone can harass? "Alright. Do take care of me my amazing wife..." he said as he lay beside her in bed and wrapped an arm around her waist. It's a pity she was driven mad earlier. Convincing her to consummate their marriage is next to impossible tonight. Hmm...how about tomorrow night? Anyway, sleeping next to her is also good. He initially thought she'll sleep in a different room since they were at her parents house and no one knew of their marriage yet. Cuddling next to her, he felt comfortable and worry-free.
Worry. The word reminded him of something. He reached for his phone and typed a message before sending it to someone. Some things can't be left unsettled.
"What are you doing?" Charmaine asked when she caught Leo using his phone.
After sending the message, Leo raised his head to answer her question but he helplessly swallowed his words as Charmaine suddenly sealed his lips with a kiss. "I can't believe you're ignoring me." she complained.
