Monday:
Luke watched as his mommy come down for breakfast wearing a white blouse and a dress pants. It's her first day to work. Leo has already left earlier and that made it pretty obvious that he will be left home alone for the whole day.
Charmaine looked at the child while she was eating breakfast. One of the reasons why she quit work before was because of Luke. After Jienna passed away, he became clingy and developed separation anxiety. Having grown up a little, he might be trying to conceal it now, but how could she not see what's inside his heart? Isn't he her child now?
She stood up and hugged Luke. "I'll be busy for a few days because I have lots of things to handle. But after that, I promise I'll work less and I'll even try working from home so I could spend a lot of time with you, alright?" she reassured him.
Anya Cheree is a company that her grandmother Han Ming-Er established. It's a luxury company focusing in high fashion and luxury products such as clothes, bags, shoes and jewelries. Before Ming-Er died, she left all her properties and possessions including all her shares in Anya Cheree to Charmaine. As her only biological grandchild, it was her sole right to inherit all of those but to avoid disputes, Ming-Er stated in her will that the turnover was in accordance to a deal she made with the Ji family; that she will give to them her successor in marriage and that's Charmaine Song. Being the owner of said company, she can't just sit down and forget about it. Although there's Hannah who has been managing the company for her, it won't be long before she takes over, not only Anya Cheree, but also the Song Corporation.

"Laura Ji... how long have you been going out with your boyfriend?" Leo asked. Earlier, Leo Ji came in this restaurant that Laura Ji owned and requested for her presence. Surprisingly, the first thing he asked her when she showed up in front of him was about her boyfriend?
"We've been together for five years. But I already know him for eight years now. What's the matter?" she asked.
"Then why aren't you getting married yet?" he asked next. "You're already twenty-four." he added.
"Twenty-four is still young!" she protested. "Besides, Ivan wants to focus more on his career first."
Leo leaned on the backrest of his seat and tapped the table with his fingers. "Ivan Gray; genius doctor; graduated medical school at the young age of twenty-two; you started dating him when he was twenty-five so he's now thirty, right? But he's not mentioning anything about marriage. I was wondering if he's really into you." he remarked.
Laura Ji frowned. What's the point of all these? "Leo, what are you trying to say?" she asked. How did Ivan offended him?
"Nothing. I'm meeting him here today. You can eavesdrop through the security cameras if you're curious." he said before looking at his wrist watch. "Alright, he must be on his way by now. You can take your leave."
Laura Ji stood up and left her brother, but she couldn't help but be bothered by what he said. He already have so many problems. Why would he still bother about her personal life? Was he getting too bored after losing his job?
A few minutes later, a tall man wearing white shirt and coat and black pants occupied the seat across Leo Ji. Looking at the man, he became certain that this was Ivan Gray.
"Hello doctor Gray." he said as he shook his hand. "I don't know if you recognize me. I'm Leo Ji." he introduced himself with a cold expression.
"You're Laura's brother." he replied.
"Yes. And I'm here to ask you a few things." he told him. "Time is precious to both of us so I won't be beating around the bush. I just want you to answer my questions honestly." he then stared straight to his eyes. "Tell me, do you like Laura Ji?" he asked.
"Yes." he replied. "I love her."
"Enough to marry her?" he added.
The doctor hesitated and averted his eyes. That was not a good sign for Leo. But after a while, he still answered, "Yes."
"If that's so, then you won't mind me asking you a few more questions. We're going to be family anyway." he stated with a smirk. "Did you know Jienna Song?" he asked.
Ivan Gray froze for a while before replying. "She was Laura's friend. She introduced her to me before."
Leo nodded and then asked next: "Did you like her? Or better yet... Did you love her?" his orbs darkened as he stared into his panicked eyes.
"I.... why do I have to answer that question? I haven't seen her for so many years!" he argued.
Leo Ji chuckled. He didn't refute so that just mean he was right. "You liked her. That's why you helped her get cured. Do you know that you helped her carry my child? Tell me what you know about Jienna's pregnancy. Her ability or inability to conceive a child for me. I already know some of the details but I want you to confirm it this instance. Reveal everything you know, or else I will have your medical license revoked!" he threatened.
"No! You can't do that. I don't know anything. Why don't you ask Jienna yourself?", the doctor exclaimed in a panicky voice. The Jis are very powerful. He knew he could ruin him and his career in just a single phonecall!
"Ask her? How? Unless you know how to contact the dead..." he said sarcastically.
The man's eyes widened. "Jienna Song.... is dead?"

Inside the security control room, Laura Ji sat in front of the monitors with pale face. Her boyfriend of five years was in love with her best friend? What kind of joke was that? Suddenly, she remembered the times she visited him with Jienna. How they exchange weird looks. She thought she was only overthinking because she knew how much Jienna adored her brother but...
The look in Ivan's eyes when he learned Jienna was gone, was that heart ache in his eyes? Was he only playing with her heart all along?
"Jienna... she asked me to help her do an in vitro fertilization. She said she already have a sperm donor.... But something went wrong... " Ivan confessed. "Her bloodtest revealed that she has POI. I told her she needs to be treated before she could get pregnant but she refused.... saying there's no much time left...."
Leo watched the man in front of him as he confessed to his crime. With his head lowered, he revealed everything that happened. Those were the secrets Jienna kept. The secrets she took with her to the grave. Should he thank Jienna for bearing a child for him? He was unsure at the moment.
