Since Jolin held a grudge to Candy, she planned to ruined her work. One day she stole her design work for Japan's client, then she shredded them, but there were no evidence that she did it. Luckily Candy had some back up including at Hanson's computer, so she had saved her work that time. Candy knew who was trying to screwed her up, but she couldn't prove her dirty work. Though her supervisor had evil intention toward her, she still tried to be nice to her, she bought her lunch and she tried to help her finishing her deadline work.
Jolin on the other hand never smiled to her nor she touched the lunch that she bought for her, she had an evil plan toward her in her mind already.
Her friend Kelly was wondering why did she still treated Jolin nicely "Why do you always nice to Jolin ? While she always trying to harm you !"
Candy answered her comfortably "I don't want to have enemies, I'd rather to have a lot of friends ! I've heard someone said to me before that I should make my enemy to be on my side to win the battle."
"But I think your effort just useless ! She has hated you since you came as newbie, because you're her big rivals !"
Candy began to curious "Why do you say so ?"
Kelly told her about Jolin's ambition "Everyone in this building know she likes boss, but boss doesn't like her. And now I think MR CEO likes you !"
Candy chuckled, she didn't expect it that she would be gossiped by other employees, since she's been careful so far "Huh ? Are you kidding me ? How did you know that ?"
"Yes, boss likes you since you first came into our office, he admired your works a lot, it made Jolin very jealous to you ! And now you took the Japan project too, it made her extremely very jelous to you !" she replied to her with serious look on her eyes.
Candy was getting to worry now, she's trying to convince her "No, you're wrong, boss like her work too, she has more experienced than me right ? She's been working here longer than I do !"
But Kelly had pleased her "Actually when I saw your work it's definitely a lot more better than her work. That's why boss took you with him to Japan las time ! You have to be more careful next time, she's a cruel woman !" She tried to warn her.
Candy smiled bitterly "You're funny, but thanks for your information. I'll try to be nice to her harder then."
Candy tried to convinced her "So, Mr CEO just praising about my work but not interested on me personally right ?"
Kelly warned her again "You must listen to me, be more careful with her next time ! She really suspicious with your close relation with Boss too ! Every time you bump into Boss, he always greet you with smile right ? And it never happen with Jolin, Boss never smiled at her, so she's very jelous with you ! You have to be prepare maybe she has plan to harm you later !"
"OK OK, I know you care about me a lot. Thank you Kelly !" she's grateful to have nice friend like Kelly.
Marvin came to Candy's desk, he asked about her preparation for the project. She told him, the photographer was ready for the shooting next week, she had prepared her materials as well. Marvin and Candy were getting close to each other since they worked together for Japan project.
Candy told Hanson, she would't go home with him that friday night, cause she had promised with her friend Luna to meet up together after office hours.
Luna picked her up at the lobby that afternoon, when Hanson was about to go home, he saw Candy went together with a guy, and the guy hugged her, it made him curious to know who they are.
He then followed them to a cafe "Who is that guy why does he sitting close to her ? Is he her boyfriend ?" Hanson couldn't find out more about them since they left after have some meals. Hanson decided to go home, he didn't follow them any further.
Candy was so excited to meet Luna and Galen again, they were her best friends since high school, they went to the same university too but different major.
Candy greeted Luna and Galen the she hugged them one by one "Nice to see you again Luna , Galen ! How dare you not contacted me Galen ! When did you back here ?" She laughed out loud together with them and had some chats talking about their past events when they were still in the USA.
"Just a few days ago I got here, and I don't want to bother a busy career woman !"Galen teased her.
Candy frowned "I won't be busy if meeting you guys, you are forever my best friends ! Just tell me when, then I'll arrange my schedule for you guys !"
Luna apologized to her "I'm sorry I was busy with my parents right after I've got here, they put me to work into my dad's company ever since I came back here."
"No, It's OK, forget about it ! Tonight we will party all night ! hahaha.... Let's eat first here." Candy felt so happy to see her best friends again.
Luna suddenly asked her "Where is your car ? Why do you want me to picked you up ?"
"Oh, I left my car at my apartment parking lot. I go to the office with my boss car, since we live in the same apartment building." she replied.
"Oh I see. Wow your boss must be very nice to you ?" she teased her.
"Well, yeah he's nice to me but he's nice to other employees also." Candy tried to bias her.
"Why don't you go by yourself to the office ?" Luna asked her curiously.
"I did at first by bus. I didn't take my car to the office, because I don't want to show off to other employees that I'm from the rich family, since I only have my sports car with me. They will make distance to me or bully me. By the way, I met my office colleague at my apartment gym before, I told him that you Luna was the residence of that building, one day you have to come with me and meet him there !"
Luna got shocked "What ? Hey... Why did you lie to him ? And brought me to this ?"
Candy insisted "I've told you, I don't want him to know that I live in the same building with my boss, you know I want to stay low profile, I want them to see me just like ordinary worker, I don't wanna hear them gossiping me with my boss either."
Luna finally can understand her "Oh yeah.... I see. OK then, you can take me to the gym with you next time, I'm curious to this Mr. Employee ! Actually I want to know your boss too someday !"
Galen cut off their chat "OK it's enough talking about people ! Let's have some fun for tonight shall we ? I miss you all guys !"
They went to the night clubs after having dinner at the cafe. Candy didn't went back to her apartment that night, she stayed at Luna's house that night. The next day she took Luna to had some exercise at her apartment gym together with her. They met Marvin in there that morning, then she introduced Luna to him.
Candy moved to other side with Luna after that, Luna got amazed with him "Wow, he's a gorgeous man ! Why don't you just grab him girl ?"
"Shh ! Don't be so loud ! He's just my team work and partner on work, beside he's not my type !"
"Oh Really ? So how is your type ?" asked her curiously.
"You'll know someday, I'm not interested in any romance story for now. If you like him just go get him girl !" she teased her back.
"You've said it girl ! Don't you dare to take it back OK ?" threatened Luna.
Candy assured her "Don't worry I won't !"
They laughed out loud, and continued with their exercise. They spent some time together at Candy's apartment after the gym session finished.
Hanson had waited her till late at night the night before, he was worry about her whereabouts. But he couldn't hear any door open and closing on her room till he's about to sleep, he just heard some noises in her room again this afternoon. He wanted to go out to buy some groceries that afternoon, when Candy was opening her door too to send Luna out.
Hanson greeted her "Hi Candy, you've back ? Did you not go home last night ?"
"Yeah, I just came back today. I slept at my friend's house last night cause it was too late at night. Ah yes this is my friend Luna Gu, and this is my boss Mr. Hanson Jang." she introduced both of them to each other.
"Hi, nice to meet you Ms. Gu." Hanson greeted her with big smiled. He was so charming when he's smiling.
"Nice to meet you too Mr. Jang." Luna got amazed by his appearance, she looked at him without a blink.
Hanson interrupted them "OK I go first now, see you again soon."
"Bye sir."
Luna showed her amazed to Candy "Wow your boss is very handsome ! No wonder you were not interested on cute Marvin, so is he your type ?" she teased Candy.
Candy got shy "I've told you I'm not interested in any romance relation right now ! I don't care weather my boss is handsome or not. I'm just concern about my career right now, it's number one in my life for now you know it right ?"
Luna teased her again "So you don't care if I chase him too ?"
Candy got nervous "Hey don't be so greedy ! Didn't you say you were interested on Marvin just now why change so fast ? Beside, my boss a bit harsh and cold either." she's trying to scare her.
Luna poked her "Really ? I don't think so, I think he was nice person just now. Are you afraid he fall for me ?"
"Naaah.... why should I ? I once witnessed him chased his mom away from his apartment with cold blood !" Candy was trying to cover up her nervous.
Luna didn't believe her "Really ? It must be there is something between them."
"Well, Maybe." she tried to change the subject then, deep down in her heart, she didn't want her friend Luna got close to Hanson. Deep down in her heart she had a plan with him later.
She sent Luna till the parking lot. When she back into the lift, she met Hanson again, who just came back from the grocery strore. "You've back so soon ?What have you bought ?"
Hanson showed her his groceries bag "Yeah, I've got them all for today's cook ! WIll you join me ?"
Candy hesitated "I'll tell you later"
After an hour later, Hanson contacted her again and told her to come over to his place and to have lunch together with him "Hey Can, can you come over here to my place now ? I've made some prawn and pasta I think I can't finished them by myself only."
Candy hesitated at first but then she felt hungry after hearing his menu. "OK I'll be there in a minute."
They've gave each other pass code since they live very close to the other to make them convenience when entering each other place.
Candy felt comfortable eating in his place after some time. "Hmm the pasta and the prawns is very delicious sir ! You should teach me how to make this dish someday !"
Hanson felt satisfied with her praising just now "Candy why don't you just call my name or Han bro when just the two of us alone ? I think it doesn't sound nice if you call me 'sir' all the time !" he wanted to be closer to her
Candy got nervous "Is it OK to call you by name ? You're my boss !"
"I'm your boss at the office but I'm just your neighbor here. I don't want someday my mom caught you when you call me sir ! It wil ruin my hard work !"
Candy hesitated "Well, are you trying to make me as your shield to your mom ? Until when ?"
Hanson smiled "You may say so ! At least for the time being I need you to cover me."
"How much will you pay me sir ?" she chuckled to joked him.
"How much do you want ?" he challenged her, his eyes looked sharply to her eyes.
Candy gulped, she didn't expect his challenge word. "I mean I'm just joking sir, you...you don't have to take my words just now seriously. I will help you as long as I can, you don't have to pay me anything really !"
Hanson laughed "Never mind I was just joking to you also. All I want from you just feel relax when you're with me. You can tell me about anything in your mind, I want to understand you better."
His words just now made her shiver 'what is that means ? Why he want to know about me ?
