Chapter 34: Epilogue – five years later
Gideon
"Gideon, have you seen my lucky Pointe shoes?" I look up from my computer and watch as my beautiful wife searches through the couch pillows and under the table. "No, baby. Do you remember where you put them last?"
She rises up, giving me an exasperated look. "I wouldn't be asking if I did."
I stand up and stride toward her agitated form and pull her into my arms. "Relax, baby. You're going to be great!"
She gazes into my eyes with a hesitant smile. "Do you really think so?"
I nod my head. "Yes, I do. The New York Ballet wouldn't have chosen you as their Prima if they didn't know how wonderful a dancer you are."
She nods with a sigh and leans her forehead against mine. "It's just such an honor. I don't want to mess it up. Adrian will kill me if I do."
