Rielen settled into the center of the new and improved training ring. She had decided to take Edite's advice to heart.
If she focused on her abilities instead of what she didn't have, she would become strong in her own way.
Taking deep breaths, she focused on entering the spiritual world. Instead of finding a long winding path, the large crystal was in front of her.
This crystal was not alone. Several large crystals in various colors surrounded the one. 'What is this place?'
"Meow." The black cat was laying atop the purple crystal. She briefly wondered how it had managed to get so high.
It licked its paw and stared down at her. "Have you come to visit me again?"
The cat arched its back and stretched with its tail flicking in the air. Leaping down it rubbed its face on Rielen's leg.
'How cute!' She thought. She kneeled down to pat the furry creature. It's cold, wet nose touched her fingertips. She scratched its fluffy ears.
