Rielen was flustered as she looked down at the invitation she had received. Eon had requested her to come to dinner! She replied, "Yes," as she sent the invitation off with Hyla. "Tara, I need to be dressed up tonight!" Tara, excited that her master was finally acting like a girl, started chattering enthusiastically as she helped her pick out a dress for dinner.
In the end, a dark blue dress had been picked out that she had not had the chance to wear yet. It showed off a little more than she wanted to wear to a party, but a dinner with Eon felt just comfortable enough to justify it. Tara was meticulous in getting Rielen ready. It was not often her master allowed her to dress her up.
She was invested in helping her master become the most beautiful woman to grace the Palace walls. Fortunately, they had given them just enough time to work over Rielen. Hyla had joined in as soon as she returned. While Tara applied her makeup, Hyla did her hair. Rielen felt like a doll being dressed up, but she had made up her mind.
She had secretly had Hyla buy her some medicine earlier. She was tired of playing the Noble's game, and wanted to share all the time she could with Eon. Her heart was racing. Her heart belonged to him, but her body did not yet. Perhaps it was rash of her to make this decision now, but if she had to get married to someone else, without even knowing what he tasted like, she couldn't go on.
She had been tormented with thoughts of him ever since she caught a glimpse of him without his shirt. Even going so far as to secretly view him at the Knights Training Grounds. It was like her body was betraying her. Only the training she had received from Charla helped her deal with the urges she had.
Hyla sensed the anticipation from her master. Hyla wasn't even surprised when Rielen asked her not to come with her to Eon's room. She had even prepared an excuse for the guards, saying she was going to a party overnight. She wanted everything to go perfectly for her master. Hyla smiled, looking at the beautiful job she and Tara had done.
"So beautiful," she heard Tara whisper beside her. She agreed. Her master was the most beautiful person she had ever seen. Rielen stared at herself in the mirror, touching her face in disbelief. They had gotten her dressed up many times before to greet the Nobility. However, she had always asked for minimal decorations and makeup. She didn't recognize herself in the mirror.
When she arrived at Eon's door, she suddenly became very nervous. She took one deep breath and knocked. A look of surprise was on Greg's face as he appraised Rielen. 'My master is a lucky man,' he thought, as he left the room to the couple.
Hyla and Greg had decided to wait nearby in case they were needed. Hyla had a small bag of clothes, in case her master needed anything, and they left for a room nearby. Whispers could be heard down the hall, which made Greg grin. He had arranged the time to be exactly when the attendant for the Prince, and a few others, passed by the hall leading to Eon's room.
"The food is delicious," Rielen said, breaking the silence that had formed between them. "Yes, Greg always knows what to pick," Eon replied back to her. 'Why are you so nervous?!' he asked himself. This wasn't even the first time he had dinner alone with her. After dinner, he led her to the couch across the room.
"Eon, I was glad to receive your invitation to dinner." Rie was trying hard to start a conversation. Would her attempt at being with Eon fail just because they couldn't have a conversation? "Actually, I have to admit something." Eon looked at the ground sheepishly. "What?" Rielen was curious.
"I invited you to get back at the Prince for approaching you yesterday." Rie blushed. "He doesn't mean anything to me. I love you." It was the second time she had said I love you to him. His heart beat loudly with happiness. He caressed her cheek. "I know," he responded. "I just needed to make sure he got the message." Rie's heart skipped a beat as his face came closer to hers.
His lips were gentle as he kissed her. He stared at the red face of the woman he had loved for so many years. "I am not going to give you up without a fight. I don't care what traditions are in place. You are mine." Rie melted into Eon's arms as his kisses became hotter.
Rie pulled away and giggled, then placed her forehead on his chest. His arms surrounded her and pulled her into his lap. 'She is so soft,' Eon thought to himself. The calluses on his hands scratched at her bare arms. She picked up his hand and studied it. They were much larger than her small hands. When had he grown so much?
"Eon, how long have you known about my situation?" He rubbed her back. "We don't need to talk about that now. Let me just enjoy having you close." He whispered into her hair. He lifted her up and placed her on the bed. "If nothing else, please just let me lie next to you tonight." Another blush crept up onto her face.
He lovingly touched her face, not allowing her to hide the embarrassment. A tear fell from her eyes. "What is wrong?" He tried to pull away, but she grabbed his hand. "I am just so happy. More happy than I have been since I left the village." 'I will make you happier,' he promised himself, silently.
"Eon, please be my first." she whispered into his ear. He could not ignore the desire in her voice. He kissed her passionately.
Hyla and Greg had returned back to the room where their masters were staying the next morning. Hyla had prepared everything her master would need to look presentable enough to make it back to her room. They waited patiently for them to wake up. Knowing that Rielen may be uncomfortable with Greg waking them up, Hyla led the charge.
She knocked loudly and entered the room. She placed the bag next to the side of the bed, and made sure that her master was awake before leaving the room. A blush had shown on Rielen's face as she left. Greg noticed her face, and confirmed that they had indeed done what he expected.
He rushed off to get breakfast for the two, and made sure the mess from the night before had been cleaned up. Eon left the room, first passing by Hyla as she entered to help her master get ready. She sighed at the mess of hair that had been so elegantly made yesterday. "We are going to have to wash this out."
Rielen groaned from the bed. Hyla helped Rielen up, and helped her into a bath, with herbs she had brought the night before. No more than an hour had gone by when she had her master ready for breakfast. As she sat down to breakfast, Rielen motioned for Hyla to leave. Greg and Hyla teamed up to take care of the 'mess' from the night as they left them for their breakfast.
"Are you ok?" Eon asked Rie hesitantly. He was afraid he had hurt her. "I am just sore." She smiled up at him. He took her hand and placed a kiss there. They didn't have a lot of time, because there was a class this morning, so they quickly ate their breakfast.
