[Border Town's Inn, Underground Room]
The sight of rows after rows of dead bodies hanging on a hook ranging from young male and female to adult male and female greatly affected the Hero Hibiki himself that without a doubt brought him to despair in sight of those dead corpses
"Ah... Ah... Ahhhhhh" reacted Hibiki as he backs away and fell on his butt by the scene that just unfolded right before his eyes
With those in sight even Kaido has a grim expression on his face as he remembers the dead corpses of experimented people in his past life
Unknown to him the cursed sword that was inside his storage pouch that was given to him by Anna the moment they regroup outside the dark passageway, was reacting to his current condition and slowly but surely creeping over his sanity and struggling in control of his body
What shock them the most was not the rows of dead corpses but rather the sight of a young child who is missing a limb at the corner of the room
Upon seeing this Hibiki remembered the stirred fry limb that he and his party along with some of Kaido's companions ate for their breakfast
Connecting the missing limb at the child to the limb that they ate brought him to the maximum height of toleration
Unable to take this any longer Hibiki himself puke on the spot due to the stimulation he just saw
He was puking so hard that it seemed that he was convulsing, he tried to puke everything out from the moment they ate the meat soup yesterday to the fried limb they ate for breakfast
He punched his stomach so hard In order to puke everything out that it left him into disheveled state
As this was happening a voice suddenly came in from behind
"Lissie?"
A voice of the woman who seems to be the mother of the child who led them here
Upon seeing the puking Hibiki and the grimacing Kaido, the mother naturally felt danger the moment she saw Kaido who seems to be about to explode as his aura became darker
Immediately she pulled her daughter to her side and hugged her tightly
"Please! Spare my child!" She begged
At that moment she was met by the despairing eyes of the Hero and the intense glare of Kaido who seems to be about to explode
Upon receiving their gazes the mother losses all her strength on her legs and quickly limp on the floor shaking while still hugging her daughter and begging their mercy
"Please you can kill me all you want but please spare the child... She has nothing to do with this" she reasoned
At that moment the Hero snapped and refuted
"Nothing to do with this? She was the one who led us here!!! Doesn't this mean that she has somewhat has a role in all of this?"
"It's not what you think... I can prove to you that she's innocent... I'll kill myself here just so that you can spare this child, how about that?" Begged the mother
Hearing that even Hibiki hesitated a little bit as he has no courage to make the child witness her mother's death in front of her eyes
"That..."
But before he could say anything else another voice came in and this time it came from the inn's owner
"It seems that you discovered this place... Oh well that only means that you have to die here in order for this kind of information not to leak out" said the inn's owner as he pulled out a machete from the side
Seeing that the inn's owner was wielding a weapon the Hero himself pulled out his holy sword from it sheathes and readied himself form the inn's owner attack
But before anything else he asks
"You... Why did you do this?... Who are this people? Why did you kill and desecrate them like this?" Roared Hibiki
In reply to the Hero's question the eyes of the inn's owner snapped wide open like the eyes of a person who have gone crazy over the years
"What do you know?... Huh? You don't know anything!!! We have lived for three weeks in fear of the demon... Due to him many of us fell to hunger!!! Some tried to escape but in the end they can't escape the demon, eventually their souls were eaten by the demon himself... Three weeks I say... Three weeks we have to endure that for three weeks" howled by the inn's owner
Hearing their remark Hibiki begun to blame himself for not arriving earlier and being brought down by a simple spell of the demon that resulted to the drastic change of timeline
"I... We didn't..." Stuttered Hibiki
"What!?! It's all your fault that we have to result to this just to survive... Day by day we betray our comrades to be sacrificed as a meal for that demon which resulted to this town's drastic population drop... We had no choice but to do that just to survive" stated by the inn's owner
Upon hearing him Hibiki suddenly deducted something but at the same time the owner noticed that the Hibiki have come to a realization
"It is as you thought!... This bodies are the corpses of the people that have their soul be eaten by that demon... So basically we just scavenge what was left from them" it added
With that the hero refuted back
"That's just plain cannibalism... Do you even consider yourself as a human after this?" Asks Hibiki with a strong induction
"Who cares anymore if your a human or not? Everyone is already the same in front of that monster... The same could be said to you so you have to die here... " Said the inn's owner with a hint of madness
After that he glanced at the mother and daughter duo
"After this I think this pair of mother and daughter needs a proper discipline hehehehe" said the inn's owner as it kicks it's lips with a wide grin
Imagining the treatment of the mother and daughter duo after this, even Hibiki himself felt that he couldn't let the man touch the mother and daughter pair and deducted that he should kill the inn's owner immediately
"Hahahahaha! C'mon I'll kill both of you then after that all the males in your group leaving only the females... After that I'll have my fun with them too... If they rebel after that then I just have to kill them too and with that...."
Just before he could finish his sentence the inn's owner vision immediately darkened as blood sprays out across the floor
The body of the inn's owner was separated from the upper part and the lower part with one attack
Due to that blood sprayed all over the place as the body of the inn's owner fell dead as if it's strings were suddenly got cut off
Few steps to the side where the location of the inn's owner's upper body fell,one could see the bloodshot eyes of the inn's owner as it stares at it's killer
The reason for his demise was none other than Kaido who has brought out two monster like claws made out of concentrated violent wind element from its back
Due to it's high frequency the claws actually bisected the inn's owner into two
After that one of the claws immediately squashed the upper body into meat paste, ending the inn's owner's life
"Shut the fuck up!" Muttered Kaido
After that Kaido walked towards the mother and daughter duo with a heavy killing intent which results to the mother hugging her crying daughter near her chest in order to protect her
"Please" begged the mother
But seemingly Kaido seemed not to hear the mothers plea
Realizing this Hibiki quickly tried to stop Kaido but he was immediately met with a punch by one of its claws
"Gufuh!"
"Wait! Don't!" Said Hibiki
Hearing that Kaido glanced at Hibiki and kicked his face sending him to a few steps back
"Gah!"
But Hibiki didn't falter, immediately he held Kaido down only to be met by Kaido's grip as the the latter smashed Hibiki's head unto the floor
"Don't!... Hurt them.... They're innocent..." Muttered Hibiki
"I don't care" whispered Kaido with a grim expression
Just as he was about to kill the mother and daughter pair a pressure that was so heavy enveloped the place which resulted for Kaido turning his attention at the upper level

While both Kaido and Hibiki were away, the remaining people at the reception room backs away at the certain person in black garment who is seating at the chair opposite of them
