"After the second previous emperor proclaimed the third prince an heir. The first prince became enraged. After the emperor passed away and the third prince claimed the throne. The first prince vanished soon after and the second prince became the new emperor's advisor. Many peaceful years passed and the empire flourished under the emperor's rule. The people proclaimed him the true son of the golden fire bird. Until one day the emperor was murdered, the first prince forced his way into the throne and the second prince vanished with the third prince's corpse before anything else could happen. "
Juvel spoke almost heavily as he stared into the distance. Gazing up at his distant gaze Celesti stayed silent glancing away. The story Juvel had told her was the same story she had heard from books and teachers. She knew from what little she could recall that the current emperor was the nephew of the previous emperor. Son of the righteous third prince. It was obvious that his hatred for his younger brother reflected on his nephew. Sending him off to battle whenever he could in hopes the young boy would die.
Hearing this the first time Celesti herself couldn't help but feel pity for the emperor. With a father that was murdered and being forced into battle from a young age. She couldn't help but wonder the hardships the emperor as a young boy was put through.
Smiling Juvel looked down at Celesti expression chuckling slightly at the deep thought gaze in her eyes.
"The emperor and your highness are quite similar."
Celesti's eyes widen at his words staring up at him in complete shock and disbelief.
"In what way?" Celesti questioned almost choking in her own spit.
"The eyes. They say the eyes can help a person see into one's soul and heart." Juvel smiled down at Celesti as she shared an expression of watching a mad man. Shaking her head she sighed.
"I suppose we'll be leaving tomorrow." Her eyes lifted to the tree branches, seeing small buds of flowers growing. This would be the first time she would miss the first blooming.
"We can stay longer if you'd like, your highness."
Shaking her head at Juvel's suggestion she closed her eyes briefly. Letting the night breeze brush against her, her nerves seeming to calm.
"No, it's best to leave tomorrow. Any more delay will only make it harder to leave."
Celesti turned to gaze up at Juvel with a more calm smiling expression.
"Celestia will always be my home, but I hope someday Soleil will be."
With slight while eyes Juvel stared down at her almost astonishment letting out a soft chuckle in return.
"You really are amazing your highness." Her smile grew bigger as Celesti felt the weight in her chest slightly lift begin at the company of the knight. Not helping but wonder why she hadn't crossed paths with him before. She couldn't help but feel a little amazed by him. He seemed so carefree, with a bright personality that radiated off him. His golden hair and hazel gold eyes fit him perfectly, giving him the fitting look of a Soleil royal. Only those born with true golden hair and gold eyes were said to be the direct descendent to the throne. If he wanted to he could mostly likely become the second to the throne.
With that thought an image appeared in her head forcing herself to shake her head. She shouldn't give him too much thought. His eyes seemed so elsewhere. Pushing down the almost nonexistent racing heart she turned her back against the knight. Grasping her hands behind her back as she grinned playfully.
"My brother Sirius is quite beautiful isn't he?" Celesti chuckled glazing back at the kight, his eyes widen in complete shock. His lips parted in a silent gasp while the tips of his ears tinted red. Staring at his flustered form she let out a small laugh walking away from red-faced knight.
"Have a good night. I'll see you in the morning."
As a the sun began to rise, a tall figure stood against a stone balcony. His hair ruffling with the morning breeze as a pair of golden eyes stared at the rising sun. Fingers tracing along the sun as shades of gold and red scattered across the sky. With a smile his eyes lit like the sun itself.
A new day had begun.
