Chapter 1 - I Hate Mondays

It was a perfect morning. The sun was tucked away by my wonderful curtains as to not irritate my still shut eyes. In the state of between of someone who's awake and someone who is not I cuddles my pillow under my cozy blanket. It was warm and soft, a paradise for one....

Until the alarm rang.

My eyes open opened slowly and I squeezed harder on my pillow. I looked at my phone and watched the screen tell me it was five forty. Twenty minutes to shower and do my other morning rituals. With reluctance and a morning headache I stopped the alarm and slowly, ever so slowly roll off my bed and sat up on the end. Stretching I gave out a yawn and cracked my fingers and my neck then my entire body. I continued then to grab my towel and headed to the shower.

Despite school starting for another three hours the commute towards there takes a long time. The train station would be jam-packed by six thirty and I don't like that one bit. On my way to the bathroom I walked across a freshly showered Dad. His hair was nearly at shoulder's length and the towel around them catching the water drops every so often. He looked at me and gave me a wave before saying, "Hurry up Champ or you'll be late." with a goofy smile on his face. Rolling my eyes I entered the bathroom and began to shower

Five minutes later I was changing into blue shirt with a good and my favourite denim jacket. Making sure I packed my umbrella since it's rainy season I then grabbed some toast and mashed it together with some homemade strawberry jam in between.

"See ya!" I kissed my Mom and Dad before heading out the door.

"Come home early." Mom said

"Or just don't come home at all." Dad said.

The sky was grey and looked heavy. Without a doubt rain would be on us soon. With umbrella on hand ready to be used. I descended on the stairs with quick light steps and rushed as the throng of people had began to start to accumulate. With haste I quickened my pace then began to dig out coins from my wallet and dropped thirty five dollars in the can a beggar was holding and gave him half my toast sandwich. Then I continued my way into the station.
