It seems that Zero's guesses on the system's functions was on the mark. 'Every spell that could be analysed and observed can be replicated to his own', he deduced these inputs and based it from what he had perceived. As Lilith casted magic towards the injured student, his menu started beeping, updating his current set of skill points. Thus, by just observing the process of healing done, he had completely replicated the basic healing spell.
"You have quite the spell you got there" Zero states, looking through the faint glow glimmering on her arms.
"Yeah" She gave him a short reply, concentrating more on the mana flow circulating from her reservoir.
Her pale expression sinks in, steadily exhausting herself from the responsibilities she needs to achieve. She wouldn't want a fellow student to die just from an accident, and neither was Zero.
:System update:
It appears Lilith is straining herself. Her mana capacity is drawing close. Would you like to lend her your own mana?
Yes/No
• Yes- Unlock relationship bond, +5 status points, +1 level basic healing, -300 mana
• No- +20 status points
A prompt from the menu appeared to his vision, as if indicating his current options. The former implies helping Lilith towards her mana capacity, enabling her to act more productive upon healing the student. On the other hand, the latter suggested the ignorance of him aiding the situation, leaving Lilith enervated. Although the difference from his rewards varies, out of all these options, he wouldn't want Lilith to suffer from desperately straining herself. And so, Zero made a decision and clicks the yes suggestion.
:System:
The player had chosen yes. Mana circulation is currently being processed, please wait for a moment.
Zero felt a tingling sensation on his chest running trailing to his arms. His eyes glowed crystal blue as he assessed the water-like flowing, exiting from his centre. A surge of power came rushing out through his mind, fatigue all of sudden. He flops on the floor, unable to stand, but forcibly did what he needed to. He checks his menu whilst wobbling down on his knees, utilising all the remaining energy he can muster to extend.
:System:
Mana allocation is complete. Your 300 mana is ready to be transferred!
Transporting mana requires holding the object, with total attentiveness. The player must visualise the mana output being resettled unto a destination, human or non-living beings.
Will you still continue?
Yes/No?
'Of course, I will' thinking out loud, reaching the button of his screen.
:System:
Determine destination of mana.
Zero's line of sight glued on Lilith, making his menu understood what he had wished for.
:System:
Actions needed!
Direct contact towards Lilith. The player must transfer his arcane energy to the palm of her hands
'Say…what?" he thought. It was indeed more efficient to use her hands as a medium for transmit, which are the mana's specific route. Despite these unfathomable occurrence, he call forth the name of the girl beside him.
"Lilith…"
Surprised, Lilith shifts her attention to the man who called out her name, and who did the first aid towards Jane. Just moments ago, Zero had a face filled with vigour that enabled him to withstand the pressure whilst attending to the wounded student. But, currently his faced had finished and was now producing a drowsy-like expression on his face. Worriedly, Lilith stopped her manipulation of healing and reaches out to him.
Professor Zync, who was secretly supporting from the shadows, was already squeezed from the process. He too knew how to control the mana adept to his surroundings, just like Zero had did with his menu. Although, Professor Zync style was not only absorbing his mana to use, but also his vital energy and mental status, exhausted from the procedure. Noticing Zero who had been lumped reaching out for Lilith, he ceased the outlet of his circulation and fell down on his knees. Much to his surprise, robust arcane energy glows inside Zero, unseen from the regular eye. Professor Zync quietly gasps in astonishment as he thoroughly observes the actions of his student.
Zero paid no attention to worried faces of his surroundings and resumes clutching on Lilith's hand. Although ultimately nonplussed, she nevertheless held back tight, gripping on weak fingertips of Zero's hand.
'Warm' she thought, hiding her smile despite their situation. She returns the grip of his hands. Worriedly looking at Zero.
"Is everything alright? You look pale?" She asked, shifting her gaze back and forth from the patient and Zero.
"Yeah…let me hold your hand?" He softly mumbles, resting his upper body on Lilith's back.
"You're holding it, you know" she giggles, letting him know that it was okay.
Upon hearing these words, a large spectrum of light, as if responding towards their answer, envelopes their space. Soothing light rays' bathes everyone in the room, focusing their attention towards the two figures beside their fellow student, who seems drastically injured among the rest.
The radiance's climax had ended its glow and the once severely injured Jane transformed into a healthy young unconscious girl lying soundly on the ground. All who had contributed to the betterment of Jane stood amazed on the results that saved her past lifeless body.
